• Harsher in Hindsight: Pretty much the entire episode becomes this after the rest of the season. Aang is losing sleep in the A plot because he's worried that the invasion will fail and that he won't be able to defeat the Fire Lord. In the next two episodes, that's exactly what happens. And all of the good time Zuko gets to spend with Mai in the B plot? All there just to set up the heartbreak of Zuko leaving her in those same episodes.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In his first nightmare, Aang dreams that he forgot to put on pants before confronting Fire Lord Ozai. In his last dream, Aang defeats Ozai by telling him that it's him who isn't wearing pants. In the final battle, pants are the only thing that either of them are wearing.
