Avalon, the film

  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: English dubbing (along with official English subtitles) is infamous for being very literal in translating many things, both toward Japanese script and Polish dialogues.
  • Subbing vs. Dubbing: Originally released in Polish with (Japanese) subtitles as the way how the story should be experienced, adding another layer to audience's alienation. Unfortunately, English release came out with a dubbing and a pretty thick-accented one, along with suffering from too-literal translation.
