YMMV / Attack of the Jack-O'-Lanterns

  • Alternative Character Interpretation: At the end, it's left ambiguous whether Shane and Shana really ate the missing people. The same could be said of the episode, though The Reveal is given in a much less joking manner.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: There's a dream sequence where Drew imagines her and the others becoming the latest editions of an elderly couples' trick-or-treater collection. It only serves as an extra scare before the real plot gets going.
  • Fanon: Due to her getting a Race Lift from Caucasian to African-American, it's common for fans to portray Drew as a Sassy Black Girl.
  • Retroactive Recognition: Erica Luttrell, most known for voicing Sapphire in Steven Universe and Acxa in Voltron: Legendary Defender, appears as Drew Brockman in the TV adaptation.
  • Values Dissonance: ''Attack of the Jack-O-Lanterns" has a subplot where several people go missing in their neighborhood, all adults. Drew's mother worries that trick-or-treating will be dangerous; her father convinces Drew's mother that as long as the kids stay in the area and use the buddy system, they should be safe. Now imagine in the 2020s how many kids are allowed to trick-or-treat without an adult chaperone.
