YMMV / Arrow S 4 E 23 Schism

• Anti-Climax Boss: Reiter is killed after 8 minutes into the episode and in a rather unspectacular fashion too (He is getting overpowered by Taiana after a short struggle and then Oliver puts a knife in his back).
• Ass Pull:
  • All the speechifying about how Laurel was The Heart of the team, when she spent most of this season as just another fighter. In case it wasn't clear enough she was a last minute choice for the character to die.
  • Oliver somehow quelling a riot, and acting as a beacon of hope, despite that he dropped of out the mayoral election, is just another washout ex-billionaire and is pretty much responsible for all of this.
• Fight Scene Failure: After much hyping up, Oliver and Darhk's fight is boiled down to them standing and taking turns punching each other across the face before the Big Bad acts as though he's near death.
• Special Effects Failure: The Oliver that Darhk launches into the air is pretty clearly a dummy. Watching it flip multiple times as it flies is rather amusing.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: Darhk not only telekinetically catching a bomb arrow shot at him, but when it detonates, freezing the explosion in time before compressing it out of existence.
