- Awesome Music: The theme song "World From Way Up Here" performed by Alison Krauss heard as Annabelle is dreaming of flying like a reindeer is a sweet and emotional song while having a dose of country in the music. Even viewers who aren't fans of Country Music admit that this sung is beautifully performed.
- Cult Classic: Thanks to Cartoon Network and Fox frequently airing this movie throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s during the Christmas season. The movie has gained a following with people who love Christmas and considers this to be one of the most underrated Christmas Specials alongside Olive, the Other Reindeer.
- She Really Can Act: Kath Soucie delivers a very charming and heartfelt performance as Annabelle the cow (mainly as a calf). It has has to be one of Soucie's most emotional performances (in a positive way) due to how genuinely sweet, charming, and childlike she is throughout the entire special.
- Moe: The titular character Annabelle, especially when she was a friendly and innocent baby calf. She has to be one of the cutest looking cows in animation (especially with Kath Soucie's downright charming performance as Annabelle as a calf). She's still adorable after finally getting turned into a reindeer by the end of the special.
