Angry Birds Space

  • Awesome Music:
    • The main theme of the game is fairly enjoyable, as it sets the tone for the game well.
    • The boss theme, which is considered one of the best themes from the series.
    • The Pig Dipper menu theme by Slash, featuring an Epic Riff that fits perfectly with the chapter.
    • The relaxing background ambience when you’re playing a level also qualifies as this (well… except Danger Zone).
  • Badass Decay: The Space Eagle is certainly not as "mighty" as he was in the original, as he only destroys a small part of the level, as opposed to completely demolishing the entire level.
  • Funny Moments:
  • Game-Breaker: The Wingman, who previously appeared in Angry Birds Friends, reappears in this game having the same abilities as his earth counterpart (as well as Terence in this game) but also having his own gravitational field.
  • Heartwarming Moments: In the trailer, whenever the bird’s eggs are accidentally stolen when a space pig was stealing Ice Bird’s eggsteroid, the birds immediately go into the vortex to get the eggs back.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: The fact that the 4th episode, Utopia, is centred around food. It's even lampshaded in this video.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • An unseen pig’s Evil Laugh whenever he uses his claw to steal Ice Bird and the main birds’s eggs in the trailer.
    • Depending on who you ask, the Space Pig from Cosmic Crystals could be considered Uncanny Valley.
    • Danger Zone’s ambience music is perhaps one of the scariest background ambiences in the series.
  • That One Level: Finishing the game with 3 stars is nearly impossible without luck. Cold Cuts 2-10 however was so impossible to 3-star that the developers had to make the level easier in a later update.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
    • In December 2023, there was a massive leak of old and unreleased apps from Apple's TestFlight service, including older pre-release versions of Angry Birds Space. The characters removed from the game are as follows: a blue bird (that many people have initially mistaken for Hal) with an orange and yellow drill for a beak, a magenta egg-shaped bird with an antenna that can attract objects, and a white version of Bomb that resembles a snowball (an early design for Ice Bird). Why the first two never made the final cut is unknown.
    • As for pre-existing characters, it is questionable why Matilda and Hal (and Stella a few months after the game's release) never joined the flock in their epic intergalactic battle. Some theorize that is was because their powers needed gravity to function properly, which couldn't work in the game's anti-gravity physics. They eventually get Space-themed designs in Angry Birds Reloaded as customizable skins. In February 2025, Matilda appears in the Reloaded-exclusive episode "Eggspansion Theory" as "Iron Bird." Likewise, May 2025's "Wingularity" introduces Stella as "Scarlet Wing", and July's "Swine Wave" introduces Hal as "Halgorhythm."
