• Adaptation Displacement: Most people are unaware that this is a remake of an earlier film, from the same director: 1939's Love Affair.
• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The "Tiny Scout" song really has nothing to do with the rest of the film, beyond reminding the audience that Terry teaches music to children. The kids' somewhat annoying voices don't help.
