YMMV / Amagi Brilliant Park

  • Awesomeness Withdrawal: When the anime was dubbed by Sentai Filmworks, infamously so. Not only was the show not announced to have a licensor a half-year after it aired but Sentai didn't announce the video release for it until more than a year after the acquisition. The release is set for more than two years after the show's initial broadcast.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Biino's seemingly insane older brother, who stabbed her in order to prevent her from finding a part time job, then shows up at the interview wearing only his underwear and pantyhose on his head to finish her off. After Kanie, Isuzu and Moffle beat him down, he's never seen again.
  • Broken Base: The current viewership is split into several groups: disgruntled Full Metal Panic! fans who feel that the series is a snub by Kadokawa and KyoAni at their series, KyoAni fans curious at Gatoh's new work, and those who are simply coming in blind.
  • Catharsis Factor: Tiramie is the kind of character who does a lot of stupid, sleazy, perverted, and underhanded things. And if the price is right, he'll even betray his friends. Thankfully, he almost always gets his just desserts for the things he does. And when he does get punished, it can be a very satisfying thing to behold.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • The fairies, with Sylphy and Salama leading the pack; one for being a goofy airhead, the other for being a sexy redhead, both with social media relations.
    • Princess Latifa has also built a sizable fanbase due to her being a Moe character.
  • Fan Nickname: Sylphy has been nicknamed "helicopter-chan" by some fans due one scene in episode 2 where she spins her hair around while saying she's a helicopter. She even lifts off the ground slightly during that scene.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • Tiramie's infamous comment during the PV episode is still being milked to this day.
    • "You should do something about that superiority complex." "But I am superior."Explanation
  • Nightmare Fuel: The expressions the trio of kids assume whenever they put Sento in wrestling holds are very much disturbing, further showcasing their sadistic joy in attacking her.
  • Tearjerker: Mixed with Heartwarming. At the very end, despite having prepared themselves for it, Kanie, Isuzu, Moffle, and Latifa are all stricken about having to face the latter's yearly loss of memories, despite having just saved the park. Midnight strikes, and the others await the inevitable... only for Latifa to remember Kanie, to the shock of everyone; Latifa soon breaks down, crying Tears of Joy at being able to remember.
  • Woolseyism: Vivid fansubs drop the Verbal Tic of the mascots from translation. This bites them in the back where Macaron and Tiramie are disguised as Kanie and retain their Verbal Tic, which characters keep commenting on. Since they are anthropomorphic animals...
"Don't get your fleece in a knot."
    "Fleece?"
