• Common Knowledge: None of Akinator's expected answers are fact-checked. They are based solely on what is the most common answer to the questions. As such, if enough people answer a question in a particular manner, Akinator will assume it to be correct regardless of basis in fact.
• Game-Breaker: Akinator has a pretty comical blind spot to obscure characters from otherwise popular media; since a lot of his guesses will invariably be directed at more popular characters from it first, Akinator is pretty unlikely to guess more obscure ones unless he's really led into it. This, in turn, is pretty much one of the few consistent ways to "beat" Akinator.
• Memetic Mutation: The Akinator Challenge, where you answer questions that describe yourself as much as possible while saying you're a fictional character. This is done to discover which character matches you the most. Some versions have additional modifiers, like saying your character is from an anime.
• Scrappy Mechanic: The allegedly free mobile version has more than half of its guesses locked between a hefty amount of in-game currency, pushing you to pay for the subscription. Luckily they offered the option to watch a video to view the Akinator's guesses.
