YMMV / Agony (2018)

• Best Known for the Fanservice: The game is more notable for featuring naked female demons than the horror elements.
• Critical Dissonance: The game found itself on effectively every "Worst Games of 2018" list, but was much better received by players (at least once the Unrated Edition came out, after a backlash against the censored initial release).
• Surprisingly Improved Sequel: Or rather Spin-Off. Agony was strongly criticized for its numerous bugs, being a simple Walking Simulator and taking itself too much seriously. Succubus has received positive reviews from the players (especially from Steam) praising the combat and tone-shifting.
• Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: The game's consistent reliance on gore resulted in many players becoming desensitized, deciding to stop caring about the events of the plot.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: One of the few things people can agree on about the game is that it's visually amazing. (Although the graphics quality does drop off severely by the end of the game.)
