• The Un-Twist: In Rizu's route, all the evidence points to it being Miou, but Masayuki refuses to doubt his friends like that. And then it turns out to be Miou.
• Values Resonance: Kaine being a transgender man, and remaining sympathetic and a liked character even after the reveal, still holds its weight after the visual novel's release. Trangender men in general are rare to see in Japanese media, especially during the early 2010s, so his plot line was well received.
