• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • One of HOLY DIVER's claims to fame is that he reputedly fought with and presumably killed Exorcists during annual purges, which explains why his minions have so many angelic weapons. When the series proper finally premiered, however one of the main plot points is that no one has ever managed to kill an angel before then.
  • In the climax, Husk personally faces off against Poker Face/Daniel J D'arby, who is known for stealing people's souls after beating them at gambling. The show reveals that Husk literally gambled away his own soul to Alastor years ago, resulting in him becoming Alastor's slave.
• Heartwarming in Hindsight: The climax of the story is the Hotel's staff having to fend off an army, culminating in Kira sacrificing himself, an act that earned him his ascension to Heaven. The first season of the show would have a similar climax, this time with Sir Pentious in place of Kira as the one who sacrifices himself and ascending to Heaven.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: HOLY DIVER's reappearance caught everyone off-guard since he had been missing for years, with people believing that he had been killed by an Exorcist. Come the first season of the official show, and it's revealed that Alastor did the exact same thing, with him having gone missing for the past seven years.
• Heartwarming Moments: Kira's entire arc consists of him slowly but surely coming to care for the people around him. At first, he's chilly and distant despite his dedication to redeeming himself, but through Charlie's dedication and Angel's support he comes to understand the value and worth of others, playing off the tiny shard of humanity he displayed in canon. By the end, he's downright preoccupied with protecting his new friends eventually giving his life to save them.
• Paranoia Fuel: Mr. Clean. Nobody knows who he is, or how he kills people, but every so often HOLY DIVER's enemies would just disappear without a trace, not leaving even bloodstains. Once Angel Dust figures out that Kira is Mr. Clean (while Kira is being somewhat more touchy-feely than normal as a result of his spiked drink), he realizes that Kira looks entirely normal, and all he has to do is to touch some innocuous object like a doorknob, deliver a package, or even just brush up against a target in the street, and the targets are dead demons walking.
• Tear Jerker: Kira ultimately gives his life to save his friends. It's lampshaded that he didn't even know some of the people he died for all that well, but did so just the same. It was no doubt this that convinced the higher power that he was capable of being worthy of redemption on Earth.
