- Aluminium Christmas Trees: There was really a song written in 1864 by Stephen Foster called "If You've Only Got a Moustache".
- Awesome Music: Seriously, the opening theme would please Elmer Bernstein!
- Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The Doc Brown cameo. It comes right out of nowhere and is never mentioned again.
- Creator's Pet: Albert himself.
- Mentor Ship: Albert and Anna, who teaches him how to be a good shot.
- Nightmare Fuel: Some of the images in Albert's drug-induced dream are pretty freaky.
- Nausea Fuel: Foy explosively shitting into a hat. It keeps going on for a full minute. And then it cuts to the filled up hat tipping over.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The Doc Brown cameo. The events of Back to the Future Part III could've been shown to be happening in the background, such as putting the DeLorean at the front of the train (which would make a line about it coming back an in-joke).
- Took the Bad Film Seriously: Liam Neeson. His character's so legitimately intimidating that whenever he steps into the scene the goofiness stops. Naturally, this doubles as Knight of Cerebus.
- Trailer Joke Decay: Several of the big jokes, including the aforementioned Doc Brown cameo, gets spoiled in the trailers.
