• Hilarious in Hindsight: Chapter 27 has Johnny and Gyro show Marie around a bookstore, with Gyro suggesting The Gunslinger, with Johnny pointing out that, in universe, there was already a movie based on said book. This chapter was written in 2015, 2 years before an actual adaption for said book was released, which received less than favorable reactions.
  Gyro: "Johnny, if Hollywood has shown us anything at this point it's that Hollywood can't make a decent book to movie adaptation to save its life. The original book is always better!"
  • One of the fics twist is that Rohan from the original Jojo universe is in a new world. Fast forward to 2023 and nearly the exact same thing happens in The Jojolands, the ninth part of Jojo.
• Jerkass Woobie: Johnny had a seriously rough life for similar reasons as his canon counterpart, being The Unfavorite of his father, blaming himself for the death of his brother, and getting shot and crippled for pushing a guy out of line just to impress his Gold Digger date because he wanted some form of acceptance. With all that said, the fic doesn't try to make any excuses for how his personality can alienate others, and his friends are typically justified when they call him out during his nastier moments.
• Unexpected Character:
  • Needless to say, some readers were caught off guard Rohan Kishibe showed up as a Social Link, namely the fact that he isn't some alternate universe variant like the other characters but the original in his entirety completely unaffected by Pucci's reboot of the universe.
  • Axl Ro becoming a Social Link comes off as a bit of a surprise inclusion, considering he was just a minor antagonist in the original canon.
