- Accidental Innuendo: Multiple examples, from "I did a lot of snowballing as a boy" to "I'd like to stroke it" to Scrooge begging to stay "just until they finish" as a young couple begins petting in front of him.
- Alternative Character Interpretation: Scrooge seems to derive great pleasure from his cough medicine, licking drops off his fingers. A sign of how miserable he is, or a symptom of addiction to whatever's in it?
- Ho Yay: Fred and Bob Cratchit get to Scrooge's office early, start to share wine, and stoke the fire before Scrooge enters and ruins everything. Adding to it is that in this adaptation Fred isn't married yet, though Bob is.
