Madrigal Family

Camilo's name was given because it was close to the word "chameleon" which relates to his gift, and as a Shout-Out to a tour guide with the same name who helped the Encanto crew while they were in Colombia.
Writer and director Jared Bush deliberately left it ambiguous on why Mirabel didn't receive a gift.
According to Jared Bush, the Madrigal triplets' birth order is that Julieta's the oldest, Pepa's the middle child, and Bruno's The Baby of the Bunch.
The grandchildren's ages are 21 (Isabela and Dolores, with Dolores being the younger of the two), 19 (Luisa), 15 (Camilo and Mirabel, with Mirabel being the younger of the two), and 5 (Antonio). Similarly, Félix is slightly older than the triplets while Agustín is slightly younger than them.
Julieta and Agustín fell in love because of the Florence Nightingale Effect.
Pedro was 26-27 when he died at the hands of the nameless horseman.
Antonio's pet jaguar is named Parce and the largest capybara is named Chispi.
Julieta can heal Mirabel's vision but doesn't because she doesn't see they need to be "cured". And there are ailments her healing can't heal.
Camilo's portrait on his door isn't meant to be seen as his younger self.
Alma has always been charmed by Félix, so she was completely on board with him and Pepa marrying. In contrast, she was skeptical of Agustín and Julieta marrying as the former wasn't her first choice to marry the latter.
When Isabela and Mirabel were younger, they had a closer relationship but gradually drifted apart due to a combination of Isabela's high expectations, Mirabel's lack of a gift, and "sisterness".

- Bruno sleeps in a hammock in his room.
- Before leaving his family, Bruno was already an introvert and not comfortable around people. He met some rats on his own and by the time he left, his rat count increased.

While Bruno can actively seek a vision, there are times when they come to him involuntarily as well.
Antonio considers Bruno his pal.
Mirabel's height is 5'2".
Casita only has one bathroom.
This tweet states that Dolores' room has some soundproofing and Agustín sat far away from Julieta during the proposal dinner because she would get his secret out of him very quickly.
Camilo has self-identity issues and shapeshifting into other people can be tiring to him.
Julieta was The Caretaker of her family since a young age because she was the eldest daughter to a widowed mother.

Camilo and Isabela were trying to save the magic candle when the house collapses. Their whole lives they’ve been told it’s the most important object in the Encanto.
A post about "We Don't Talk About Bruno" states that the reason Mirabel didn't ask Agustín about Bruno was to avoid a parent conversation. And during Agustín's part in the song, he doesn't actually know the lines, but he always wants to fit in with the Madrigals and tries to copy Félix's dance moves.
Mirabel's full name is Mirabel Valentina Rojas Madrigal.
Camilo can't copy his family members' gifts. If he turned into Luisa, for instance, he'd only gain her natural human-level strength.

In Variety's "Notes on a Scene", Encanto creators Jared Bush (director), Charise Castro Smith (co-director), and Yvette Merino (producer) break down the Antonio gift ceremony scene and debunk the fan theory that Mirabel didn't get a gift because she touched the candle then wiped her hands on her dress before she touched her doorknob which somehow wiped the magic away.
Since Antonio was born after Mirabel's failed gift ceremony, he never saw her as the "giftless" Madrigal. He has only seen her as the wonderful and empathetic cousin he deeply loves.
In this podcast, Jared Bush points out that due to the heartbreak and fear that Alma experienced at the riverside after seeing her husband murdered, once she learned of Bruno's powers, she would have found it impossible to resist pressuring him to frequently look into the future for threats and dangers to the Encanto. Thus, the observations that have been made about Bruno having a depressed attitude which led to him seeing bad futures is wrong. It's the opposite, pressure on Bruno to always look for the worst the future has to offer is what left him with a stressed, forlorn attitude. Sadly, Bruno is probably the first casualty of Alma's unresolved grief and fear.
Mirabel deliberately stays out of family pictures because she feels she doesn't measure up to her family.
Mirabel's relationships with her Uncle Félix and Aunt Pepa are given more context — Félix loves everyone and likes hanging out with all of his family, including Mirabel; Pepa is a good tia, but she's just very emotional, and for most of her life felt she had to bottle up her emotions which only made them worse.
Jared Bush acknowledges that the relationship between Isabela and Dolores is complicated by Dolores' feelings towards Mariano but declined to provide any real details, resulting in a basic Shrug of God.
The colors of the magic at the end of the film are no longer based on the colors of the candle's flame but are now based on colors we associate with Mirabel. However, what that actually means, is left unanswered in Jared Bush's tweet.
Had Mirabel not walked him up the stairs during his gift ceremony, Antonio never would have even reached his door due to his stage fright.
As children, the triplets would often have little meetings in Bruno's room.
Mirabel has the closest personality to Pedro's.
Isabela and Mariano's relationship after the movie is probably a good one, since neither of them was 100% invested in the engagement.
