When Scrambler and Spud hear about the legend of Brickbeard and his golden hammer, they set out on a quest to find it so they can give it to Bob as a surprise. Meanwhile, the rest of the team get into trouble while doing their jobs.
"The Legend of the Golden Hammer" contains examples of:
- A Day in the Limelight: While the rest of the team get a segment as the main star, the overarching story is about Spud and Scrambler and their quest.
- Cannot Tell Fiction from Reality: During the play, Dickey (as Brickbeard) asks the audience if they've seen his golden hammer. Spud, thinking he actually is Brickbeard, tries to get his help with the latest clue.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: After all the trouble they went through, Spud and Scrambler finally find the golden hammer in the Crow's nest of Brickbeard's ship, and give it to Bob during that night's celebration.
