Mumfie is a upcoming reboot of the 1994 animated series Magic Adventures of Mumfie and the first adaptation of the books to be in CGI. The story takes place on a magical island called Flutterstone, a place where many magical creatures live.
Mumfie contains examples of:
- All-CGI Cartoon: The first adaptation of the books to be done this way.
- Continuity Reboot: The story takes place in a new setting, an island called Flutterstone.
- Living Toys: Unlike most adaptations of the books, this reboot seems to stick to the "Mumfie is a toy" route the books followed, with the characters and props looking like toys.
- Put on a Bus: Anyone who isn't named Mumfie, Pinkey or the Black Cat is written out of this reboot. However, Whale is kept, but is recolored and renamed Boo Whale.
