PC Puzzle originated as a community for discussing the Wonderland games by indie developer Midnight Synergy (including Wonderland Adventures), but eventually sprang into a creative community mostly independent of its origins. The community hosts an external forum known as Epigam for making indie games of its own, but still retains the original site.

Relevant tropes:
  • Aborted Arc: Many of MNIK's games never saw the light of day.
  • Advertisement:
  • Arch-Enemy: The oft-mentioned, never-seen, mythical "PC Action".
  • Ascended Fanboy: Emerald141 eventually became a moderator.
  • BB Code is used on the forum.
  • Big Good: Midnight Synergy. Sort of.
  • Catchphrase: LittleZbot with "COOL", and dlcs18 with "o ok".
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: Master Wonder Mage has shades of this.
  • Character Development: All of the main users today started out as immature youngsters when they first joined. Nowadays, not so much.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Cbloopy, hailed as a demigod for discovering many of the secrets of the WA Editor, randomly vanished without explanation.
  • Conveniently an Orphan: Almost all the main protagonists of the Show Within a Show Legends of Arthion had little to no characterization other than being a Mage who was this
  • Crapsack World: Some of the current users jokingly (?) claim it to be this occasionally.
  • Advertisement:
  • Cutscene: MyNameIsKooky/MNIK hates making these in his games. Emerald141 and Master Wonder Mage, however, love putting lots of cutscenes into everything.
  • Dark Secret: So dark, in fact, that no one wants to mention it on this page. Let's just say that it involved several currently active forum members and a bunch of traps.
  • Death Notification: Shorty and Marinus.
  • Five-Man Band: The adventure-making group known as the Awesome Pentagon, which is now dissolved.
    • The Leader: MNIK. The community usually followed his lead in things, both inside and outside of WA.
    • The Lancer: Nobody (the user, not the lack of a person) served as this to MNIK, providing a friendly and hilarious foil to his type of humor and game design.
    • The Smart Guy: Emerald141, the resident mechanical engineering expert of the Wonderland engine.
    • The Big Guy: Master Wonder Mage. Often tackled the most ambitious projects, with mixed results.
    • Advertisement:
    • The Heart: TheThaumaturge. Easily one of the nicest guys on the forum and the moral center of the team.
    • Sixth Ranger: yot yot5, who forced the group to be renamed the Awesome Hexagon. Came in with a Worf Effect with his levels being far better than anyone else's at the time and everything.
  • Historical Villain Upgrade: It's not really likely that Past Everyone was as evil as they now think themselves to be, but hey, exaggerating reality is fun!
  • Humble Hero: TheThaumaturge fits this to a T.
  • Intelligence Equals Isolation: Averted! Many of the most social people on the forum are intelligent, sometimes extremely so.
  • Kids Are Cruel: Most of the misdeeds of Past Everyone were done when they were still in middle school, which might be considered a Freudian Excuse considering how traumatic middle school was for many of them.
  • Loads and Loads of Characters: Almost 300,000 users are registered, although percentage-wise, almost none of them have posted.
  • Loony Friends Improve Your Personality
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero!: Well-intentioned criticism of adventures eventually escalated to annoy everyone so much that before long no one was making adventures anymore. There's also the Arthion Forum incident, where everyone accidentally pissed MNIK off enough that he pulled a completely justified temporary ragequit (and boy was it ragey).
  • One-Man Army: Do not argue with Qloof234. He is better at it than you. Heck, he once took on the entire forum at once and won.
  • Real Life: Sort of.
  • Show Within a Show: Custom adventures, etc.
  • Sliding Scale of Idealism vs. Cynicism: The first few arcs were heavily cynical, sending the message that no matter what the protagonists did, they couldn't ever really improve themselves or the community. But then they did. Starting with the New Off-Topic Arc, the story has been mostly idealistic for a few years.
  • Smart People Play Chess: Most of them do, but of particular note are Emerald141, Muzozavr, and Billy Bob.
  • Tagalong Kid: There have been a few over the years.
  • True Companions: Most of the current users would have left a long time ago if they weren't this.
  • Verbal Tic: *shot*
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Several spammers that got banned within a few days. Of particular note is one "mickey_mouse", for some reason.
