is a Webcomic by Holly Dittus, about a Middle School student who claims to have "Woke up as a Girl this morning" and starts going to school as a girl. The series follows the protagonist's efforts to live a normal middle school life.You Woke up as a Girl this Morning!? provides examples of:
- Ambiguous Gender Identity: As of yet, the series has not elaborated on its Main characters motives and feelings about gender in any explicit sense.
- Fake Crossover: In a bonus chapter, The Main Character meets Karykom, the protagonist of the author’s other webcomic, Tirkom, for a one-off gag page.
- Gender Bender: the Central premise revolves around the trope, however, it is subverted at the end of chapter 1, when it is revealed the main character just wore the female uniform to school and claimed a genderbend occurred overnight.
- No Name Given: As of yet, no characters in the series have been given actual names. Although, the creator has given the main trio the nicknames “MC, Anxious Friend, and Glasses Girl” outside of the comic proper.
- Unsettling Gender-Reveal: An anxious friend of the Main Character is extremely unsettled after hearing "the news" for the first time.
- "Which Restroom?" Dilemma: a background character questions which restroom the protagonist will be using in chapter 1.
- Wild Take: characters have exaggerated reaction faces nearly every page, specifically the main character’s Anxious Friend.
