Vis Ma Vis de Vampire is a short French Urban Fantasy webcomic created by author CosmosPalace, which began in 2019 and ran for 39 pages, concluding later that year.

The story focuses around a vampire named Louise, who works as a comic artist and decides to look for a roommate in order to help pay rent. This is how she ends up living with Heleva, a confident and free-spirited succubus who helps Louise get the inspiration she needs to pursue her writing. However, as a succubus, Heleva cannot help but brutally murder every man she sleeps with in order to feed off them, and as a result is actually a wanted criminal...

The comic itself can be found on the author's blog, or on the external MangaDraft website. Be aware however that it contains a substantial amount of explicit nudity and sexual themes; You Have Been Warned.

Tropes found in Vis Ma Vis de Vampire:

  • A-Cup Angst: Louise is shown to be impressed with Heleva's impressive rack, and gets angry when the latter points out that her smaller bust makes it difficult to tell she's actually the older one of the two by a large margin.

  • Cute Monster Girl: The comic's cast is mainly composed of those, with Louise being the most human-looking of the lot as a vampire, Heleva being a succubus sporting demonic horns, Aerinore being a mermaid who needs a wheeled water tank to move on land, and Medusa being a gorgon with snakes for hair.

  • Deadly Gaze: Medusa being a gorgon, any mortal who looks her in the eye gets turned into stone. For this reason, she needs to wear special contact lenses.

  • Disposing of a Body: In order to dispose of the bodies of the men she has sex with, Heleva hacks them to pieces with a meat cleaver and stuffs their body parts in trash bags. This however doesn't work for long, as the building's owner discovers the bags due to tenants complaining about the smell.

  • Gag Censor: When she arrives in Heaven, Louise is given "censor cherubs" to cover herself.

  • Heroic Sacrifice: In the final pages of the comic, Heleva ultimately sacrifices her own life force in order to give it to Louise and bring her back to life.

  • Metafictional Title: Vis Ma Vis de Vampire is also the name of the autobiographical comic Louise is working on in-universe.

  • The Muse: Louise admits that Heleva is the reason she was motivated to continue writing her autobiographical comic.

  • Really 700 Years Old: Being a vampire, Louise looks like a woman in her twenties despite actually being 500 years old. In fact, she looks younger than Heleva, who herself is 150 years old but looks in her mid-twenties as well.

  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Aerinore suffers from Tourette syndrome, and as a result tends to often swear and be rude towards others before promptly apologizing.
