The Lion King: Hidden Stories is a fan-comic based on The Lion King. They're written and drawn by kati-kopa on Deviantart.
The comics starts off in-between the first and second films. It features Nala and Simba's firstborn, Prince Kopa. The comic also tells the stories of what happened to Nala during Simba's absence and of Zira's childhood.
This comic provides examples of:
- Ambiguously Related: Vitani is presumably Scar's daughter, making her Kissing Cousins with Kopa.
- Attempted Rape: Scar tries to get Nala to be his queen by force, but she counters him and runs away.
- Art Evolution: The art got progressively better and less traced over the years.
- Artistic Age: Nuka doesn't look much older than Vitani despite being a teenager when she's still a pre-adolescent.
- Bloodier and Gorier: There's some blood while the source features almost no blood.
- The Cameo:
- The elephants from Tarzan pop up in the second chapter.
- As a cub, Mheetu comes across one of the bugs from A Bug's Life. In another panel, Timon and Pumbaa eat a few of them, alongside Cri-Kee from Mulan, and a car from Cars.
- Dead Guy Junior: Nuka is named after Zira's older brother who drowned when they were trying to runaway from home.

- Mheetu is Scar's son.
- Nuka is Scar's son, something that is implied but never confirmed.
- Rescue Romance: Zira met Scar when he rescued her from hyenas as cubs.
- The Runaway: Zira and her brother Nuka tried to run away from their family as cubs. Nuka died on the journey while Zira got lost and was taken in by the Pridelanders.
