The Arrangement
is a The Legend of Zelda fan-comic by Tumblr user cockybusiness.
Set centuries after Breath of the Wild, the current king of Hyrule makes an arrangement with the leader of the Gerudo. In order to preemptively stop the bloodshed that will occur when Nabooru's son ages, the young Ganondorf is to marry the princess Zelda while he's still innocent and untainted by Demise. After hearing about how a Zelda once faced Calamity Ganon alone for a century, the king believes that the Bearer of Wisdom is powerful enough to tame Demise's spirit.
Not to be confused with the fanfic or film of the same name.
The Arrangement provides examples of:
- Bureaucratically Arranged Marriage: Zelda and Ganondorf's marriage is arranged, however it's not an Altar Diplomacy. The marriage is to try and keep Ganondorf from being tainted by Demise's spirit and becoming an evil warlord.
- Improbable Infant Survival:
- It is thought that Link died as an infant, but he actually survived. The Yiga Clan kidnapped him but he was found by Urbosa in the desert.
- The only other option besides an Arranged Marriage is killing Ganondorf while he's young. Urbosa decides on arranging a marriage.
- Heroic Bastard: Link is the king's son from outside of marriage. The king won't claim him as legit, but Zelda still knows about Link. Link has the Triforce of Courage, though he's friends with his expected enemy Ganondorf.

- Urbosa is the mother of Riju and Ganondorf.
- Link is Zelda's half-brother through the king.
- Link is adopted by Urbosa.
- Riju's daughter is Nabooru.
