River Passage is a one-shot NSFW comic rendered in 3D by an artist going by the name of "Paul M". It follows Irish the Jungle Girl, a Nubile Savage who is crossing a stream when she meets a man in distress...

The comic can be read here.

This comic provides examples of:

  • Action Girl: Irish is a bona fide one at the start of the story (where she chased off a jaguar), but she became a Faux Action Girl in the second half. Having a knife stuck in her back may have something to do with it.
  • Advertisement:
  • Affably Evil: See Scary Black Man
  • Badass Boast: "Next time you're in a town, describe me from memory to anybody and they'll tell you who I am."
  • Badass in Distress: Deconstructed, as Irish dies while in distress.
    • Assuming the reader accepts the viewpoint that the jaguar attack was not a staged one, Hernando at the start of the story.
  • Break the Haughty: Hernando cites this as the reason why he removed Irish's top and molested her. When he took the job of assassinating her, it was Nothing Personal.
  • Captain Ersatz: Irish is one for Sheena.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Hernando, though he claimed that he didn't mind a proper duel with Irish.
  • Dies Wide Open: Irish
  • Drop Dead Gorgeous: Irish as she floats down the river.
  • Due to the Dead: Irish's friend vowed to give her a proper funeral.
  • Dumb Blonde: Irish. See Too Dumb to Live below.
  • Evil Gloating: Hernando does this after stabbing Irish.

  • Face Death with Dignity: The "jungle girl" looked Hernando in the eye before she drew her final breath.
  • Fan Disservice: Irish going topless while in shock and bleeding to death.
  • The Farmer and the Viper: Assuming the reader accepts the viewpoint that the jaguar attack was not a staged one.
  • Foreshadowing: The title cover shows a tombstone. The words are partially hidden and hard to read: R.I.P Irish the Jungle Girl.
  • Fur Bikini: The "jungle girl". She loses her top as the story progresses.
  • Gag Boobs: Deconstructed, as Hernando fondled Irish's large breasts while she slowly bled to death.
  • Genre Blind: Irish. See Too Dumb to Live below
  • Heroic BSoD: The "jungle girl" has one when she realised that she had been mortally wounded by Hernando.
  • Heroine of Another Story: See Badass Boast above. The quote is from Irish.

  • In the Back: How the "jungle girl" was fatally wounded.
  • Ironic Echo: "As you reminded me, even a predator is best served by an instinct for survival"
  • Minimalist Cast: If you count the jaguar, only four characters appear in the story.
  • No Name Given: The "jungle girl", at least in the story itself.
  • Only a Flesh Wound: Averted. The "jungle girl" bled to death with only one stab wound.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: Hernando. When he took the contract on Irish's life, it was Nothing Personal.
  • Scary Black Man: Played With. Hernando is friendly to the "jungle girl", even as he wounded and molested her.
  • Sequel Hook: Irish's friend vowed to seek revenge for her death.
  • Smug Smiler: Irish, at least in the first half.
  • Shout-Out: The "jungle girl"'s name (as seen at her character design page) is Irish, a tribute to "Irish"_McCalla, an American actress who was the titular Sheena in the 1950s TV series adaptation.
  • Tempting Fate: Irish telling Hernando that he is not a concern to her.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Having a stranger behind you when you have made enemies qualifies as this.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Irish allowed Hernando to remain behind her. This bites her hard later.
  • Villain Ball: Hernando's knife remained in the "jungle girl"'s back, tipping her friend who found her off that her death was unnatural.
  • Written by the Winners: Hernando mused to himself that he will paint his successful assassination as a duel to the death.
  • You Are Already Dead: Played with. Both Irish and Hernando knew that the stab was fatal.
