- Filler: Frank started as this, but has kinda grown into his own thing.
- Gamebooks: For a while, Dan ran polls to decide what Nathaniel will do.

- Medium Awareness: Frank again.
- Our Zombies Are Different: Frank is capable of speech, and is the only character who has shown awareness of being in a comic (as previously explained.)
- The Virus: Creepers are, apparently, people infected with the root.
- Set Right What Once Went Wrong: People doing this with reckless abandon, and the ensuing paradoxes, lead to the creation of the root.
