One late stormy evening, Kiki Cruz's life suddenly gets flipped upside-down after a power surge causes her mains from The King of Fighters and Tekken to jump out of her PC and into the 3D world. With no way to return them to their 2D home, Kiki decides to let Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, Terry Bogard, and Kazuya Mishima become her new roommates.
Living With My Fighting Game Mains contains examples of:
- Cosplay Otaku Girl: Kiki. She's shown to have a cosplay of Shingo Yabuki in episode 9.
- Covert Pervert: Kiki. Kazuya was the unlucky one to discover this in episode 9 when he found a drawing of himself and Kiki doing... things.
- Four-Philosophy Ensemble: When the boys are trying to figure out how to get back home, Kazuya is the Cynic who snoops around Kiki's room for clues with no hesitation, Terry is the Optimist proposing that they should enjoy their time in the real world and is completely against violating Kiki's privacy, Iori is the Realist choosing to wait until an opportunity to go back home presents itself, and Kyo is the Apathetic who doesn't contribute anything useful to either cause.
- Gamer Chick: Kiki, however, she's a subverted case in that she's a casual player and openly admits to it. Also, Terry easily beats her multiple times when they play KOF '98 in episode 4.
- Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Kiki owns a large Pikachu plush and plushies of all the boys. Kazuya comments on this:Kazuya: How old is this girl again?
- Goofy Print Underwear: In episode 8, Kiki is revealed to have a pair of panties with a fish and the phrase "I'm a catch" printed on them.
- How We Got Here: The first three episodes are told like this, with the second and third episodes serving as flashbacks from Kiki's perspective on how she and the boys started living together.
- Mass "Oh, Crap!": In episode 12, the boys realize Kiki is about to come back home from work and they made no effort to cover up the fact they snuck into her bedroom, resulting in this.
- Lightning Can Do Anything: A power outage caused by a thunderstorm caused the boys to get sent from the video game world to the real world.
- Living Crashpad: With how Kazuya, Kyo, Iori, and Terry were dog-piled onto each other in episode 2, it's implied their journey from the 2D world to the 3D world involved them falling on top of each other.
- Tempting Fate: A couple of examples:
- The boys snoop around Kiki's bedroom while she's out at work. Terry remarks that they should stop because it's invading her privacy. Cut to Kyo holding up a pair of Kiki's panties.
- Iori suggests that the boys wait until another thunderstorm occurs so that they can find a way back home. Cut to Kazuya watching the news and seeing that there's a full week of sun.
- Up the Real Rabbit Hole: When Kiki asks the boys about coming out of her laptop, none of them acknowledge their worlds are the "real" world.
- Yaoi Fangirl: Kiki, who is shown to be in possession of an Iori x Kyo doujin in episode 9.
