Josh and Imp is a one-shot webcomic by Jon Bernhardt and Diana Nock. While the website hosting is down, it had a fond reception on Reddit and Scans Daily.
A sidekick going on a date with an ordinary boy? It feels very strange since Josh is unsure how he got here. One moment he was going about his day, the next he found Devilman's sidekick Imp in his arms and he was carrying her away from danger. Imp has now asked him out on a date, and he's enjoying himself. But why is she interested in him?

- And the Adventure Continues: The comic ends with Imp revealing her true identity to Josh, and Devilman grudgingly approving their relationship. He does say he'll be watching Josh, who is looking forward to the next date.
- Damsel out of Distress: Imp casually notes the time that Plant Boy tried slipping her a roofie and feeling her up. She says Devilman taught her to identify and resist poison, so she kicked his ass before it got too far.
- Heroic Bystander: Josh was really surprised to find out that in an actually dangerous situation, he picked up a superhero sidekick and carried her away.
- Noodle Incident: We don't see the details of how Josh rescued Imp. He recalls that she was in his arms and he was running on pure adrenaline. Imp recalls that he beat up two grown men with a fire extinguisher before untying her and getting her out of the building.
- Knight Templar Parent: Devilman isn't Imp's biological father but he does act like her dad. It turns out she didn't tell him about her date, but he found out anyway and does Twerp Sweating after Imp drops him off at home. He responds to Josh calling him a crazy manipulative sociopath by telling him to remember that if he ever thinks about doing anything to hurt Imp.
- Papa Wolf: Josh angrily informs Devilman when the latter is interrogating him that Plant Boy tried raping Imp by slipping her a handmade roofie. Devilman says that he'll take care of that (with herbicide) while staring daggers.
- Rescue Romance: The reason why Imp asked Josh out on a date is that during a crime-foiling spree, he picked her up and ran as fast as he could from a dangerous situation. Josh admits that it was pure instinct and adrenaline and is surprised that he was heroic.
- Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Imp says that this is why she likes Josh. Most superhero sidekicks are either corrupted by their power and arrogant. It charmed her that Josh went out of his way to save her from a dangerous situation.
- Wham Shot: Josh is thrilled after the date ends and Imp drops him off at home. He basks in the afterglow...not seeing that Devilman is waiting in the shadow of his house.
- You're Insane!: Josh says this to Devilman, who simply responds "Very."
