Captus Cinematic Universe
(commonly shortened to CCU) is a multi-genre superhero parody webcomic created by Foxwhale Studios. It centers around five main groups of specific superheroes and villains in the fictional city of Gatorstan, Florida as they interact with each other in a variety of ways. Some are archenemies, others are best friends, some are even in relationships.
The comic follows five major storylines:
- Hype Beast, a fox-narwhal hybrid from the future who's sent back in time to become a superhero
- Capti and Malus, a duo of powerful villains that make use of both science and magic simultaneously
- The Planetary Protectors, a group of five superheroes that live on Pluto who's goal is to protect Earth from threats
- The Mind Siblings, a thieving duo that each have an ability related to the human mind
- Black Canvas, a teenage wannabe supervillain who ironically has a family of heroes
CCU makes use of the following tropes:
- Cute Is Evil: The pink cat girl known as Katsumi turns out to be a surprise villain who attacks the Planetary Protectors.
- Superhero Capital of the World: The comic takes place in the fictional city of Gatorstan, Florida, where most of the super-beings on Earth live.
