The Uncanny Valley is the 5th Anniversary special of Channel Awesome. Rather than the usual Massive Multiplayer Crossover, Valley is a collection of five shorts, linked by the theme of how people interact with New Media and hosted by The Webmaster (with constant interference from Thomas, the host of a Meditation Safety show), as played by Nash Bozard and Rob Walker, respectively. It ran from July 23rd to the 28th, 2013.

Not to be confused with the trope it's named after, Uncanny Valley.
Tropes:
- Anthology: As opposed to the previous years' specials being one long movie, this one is divided into several self-contained shorts.

Mike Jeavons, mega-successful Internet critic, believes it would be unfair to use his fame to snare someone as a romantic partner and instead decides to try Internet dating, recording his progress and experience. It doesn't go quite as he intended.
Guest starring Mathew Buck (Bad Movie Beatdown, Projector) and Xaria Byron (Diamanda Hagan).
Tropes:
- Is This Thing Still On?: Well, believe it or not, switching off the monitor doesn't terminate the Skype connection.
- Real Men Wear Pink: Apparently Mike's favorite pastimes include gardening and cross-stitch.
- Shout-Out: Both Mike and Mathew give these to two of the more popular fan communities; TGWTG Secrets and The Secret Treehouse.
- Video Phone: Before the date Mike also Skypes with a nice girl from Ireland.

Narration is by Holly Christine Brown, and interviewees include Jill Bearup (Stuff You Like), Jonathan Burkhardt (ChaosD1), Allison Pregler (Ninja the Mission Force), Mathew Buck (Bad Movie Beatdown, Projector), Shea Koshan
, Phelan Porteous (Phelous), and Lewis Lovhaug (Atop the Fourth Wall, History of Power Rangers). Julien Diaz (Sad Panda) and William Dufresne (That Dude in the Suede) provide illustrative sketches.
Tropes:
- Documentary: This time, it is. It touches on several subjects, including:
- Genre Shift: Unlike the previous entries of The Uncanny Valley, which were all sketch comedies, this one is a straightforward PSA about behavior on the internet.
- Public Service Announcement: It's a documentary about some dangers of internet use.
