The Chronicles of Vocaloid Randomness is a YouTube plush series based on Crypton Future Media's Vocaloid characters. It is a Sketch Comedy style series revolving around the daily mishaps of Luka, Kaito, Meiko, Miku, Rin, and Len. Its first episode was uploaded on October 9th, 2012, and its most recent episode was uploaded on May 23, 2016. The series was created by YouTube user TakuTakuMadness.

The Chronicles of Vocaloid Randomness includes examples of:

  • Big "WHAT?!": Meiko does this a lot.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Miku shows signs of being one of these.
  • Brick Joke: In the episode "Jobs", Kaito suffers a concussion from one of the Tuna Fighters' tuna cans. In the later episode "Books", he mentions how much of a beautiful "concussion free day" it is, right before getting hit in the head with a book.
  • Butt-Monkey: Poor Meiko.
  • Call-Back: Rin and Len's oven roasted spider monkey from the episode "Holidays" can be seen at Luka's camp in the sky in "Summer".
    • Similarly, Miku's flying walrus from the very first episode can be seen in The Return Part 1. It has apparently been married to Kaito for 17 years.
  • Characterization Marches On: Rin and Len weren't evil in their first appearance.
  • Creepy Twins: Rin and Len fit this trope very well. They often talk about performing biological experiments and Meiko implies in one episode that they might even be pyromaniacs. They even have a family tradition of eating "oven roasted spider monkey" every Thanksgiving.
  • The Ditz: Kaito and Luka.
  • Fictional Holiday: Luka has created a holiday called Tunafest which takes place every day to worship tuna.
  • Mad Scientist: Rin and Len. In one episode, they complain about how they can't perform illegal experiments on Kaito.
  • One-Word Title: The series uses this form of thematic naming for its episodes.
  • Only Sane Woman: Meiko is the only member of the cast who isn't totally crazy.
  • Parody Commercial: They do this a lot. Miku's Vegetable Juice, a novel Luka wrote about tuna, an app where you can show your lack of interest in something, etc.
  • Self-Demonstrating Song: The song that plays during the montage with Kaito and his ice cream girlfriend.
    • "This is a generic song about summer..."
  • Simpleton Voice: Kaito has one.
  • Song Parody: In "This is Your Brain on Tuna", Luka sings a parody of Never Gonna Give You Up about her favorite fish.
    • There is also "The Twelve Days of Vocaloid Christmas".
  • The End: Every episode closes with an end card, the only exceptions being The Return parts 1 and 2.
  • To Be Continued: The Return parts 1 and 2 end with such a screen.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Kaito has a severe ice cream obsession to the point that he marries an ice pop and has an ice cream cone as a girlfriend. Luka, however, takes this trope even more up to eleven than Kaito does with her obsession with tuna. She has written a novel about it, has created a holiday dedicated to it, and even sings about it. The Tunafest skit even implies she might worship it.
  • Villain Protagonist: Rin and Len in "The Kagamine Trials" spin-off.
