There are a few abridged series made based on Space Dandy.

Yu Yu Hakubros channel:

One of the few Space Dandy abridged shows made by Yu Yu Hakubros. It's complete with 16 episodes out.

The show provides examples of:

  • Butt-Monkey: Meow, to the point that the series depicts him as a "Mexican" and that Dandy was willing to get rid of him if he thinks it's good for him. Also he calls him "Paco" since he can't understand his full name.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: Adélie. Bea too uses some honorifics when he speaks to Dr. Gel.

  • Product Placement: Meow, or rather Paco, mentions Taco Bell several times.
  • Welcome to the Caribbean, Mon!: Bea speaks with a stereotypical Jamaican English accent.

Grimmjack 69 channel:

A Space Dandy abridged series that consist of shorts taken from various episodes in the first season. Made by Grimmjack 69, there are currently five episodes available.

The show provides examples of:

  • Creepy Child: Dandy. Well, that's according to his thought flashback when he killed his own father with a knife since he can't tell Dandy in his younger days on what is BooBies.
  • Groin Attack: Scarlett is willing to do this due to being irritated in Dandy's attempt to hit on her.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Despite being a jerk at times, Dandy doesn't want to get involved with Adélie (since she's a child prostitute). Instead, he decides to help her make good memories.

  • Only Sane Man: QT is much more saner than his actual counterpart.

Hawk Abridging channel:

This abridged series treats the first season of Space Dandy as a reality TV show in Space Century 0014. There are six episodes available online.

The show provides examples of:

  • Interspecies Romance: Dandy and QT are convinced that Meow has found happiness with Mamitas. Until Mamitas changes into a Deathgerian and tries to eat Meow alive.
  • Something Completely Different: Meow tries to show a ramen-based episode. It however ends and the producers decided to get rid of it.
  • Stun Guns: Played with. When trying to use a fishing rod to catch Meow at a local BooBies, he instead shocks an alien who yells out "Don't taze me, bro!".
  • Take That!: The fifth episode can be made to the Democratic Party's views towards universal healthcare.

Master Hirano channel:

This abridged series makes Space Dandy a Large Ham at times in the course of the abridged series. Three episodes are out so far.

As of 2016, they are no longer available.

The show provides examples of

  • Large Ham: How Dandy is portrayed in this abridged series.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here!: Dandy's ship, the Aloha Oe, moves along as Gogol and Jaicro Empire ships engage each others in battle.
    • Dandy: I'M MOVING ALONG!!!
  • This Is for Emphasis, Bitch!: An injured Dandy does this to Scarlet after being beaten up by her at the ramen restaurant.
  • The Voiceless: QT doesn't talk to the point of having subtitles being used to convey his thoughts.

How well does it match the trope?
