NoPixel is a popular roleplay server showcased in several Grand Theft Auto Online livestreams on Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and Facebook Gaming.

It differs from standard GTA Online as it's based off of a private server, and players are heavily vetted before they're added to the whitelist allowing them in. They can navigate through a customized version of GTA Online, interacting with other players and creating their own scenarios. The idea is to advance police, EMS, criminal, or civilian characters through interactions.

Instead of playing it as a conventional multiplayer game, the players act as if they're in a story, blending improv, roleplay, and basic cinematography. Each character's player can stream these stories online for all to see.

This ultimately means that you can view situations through multiple perspectives; imagine being able to watch Miami Vice or Reno 911! from the perspective of any character you want.

Version 2.0 of the server, which was active during NoPixel's initial popularity boom, shut down for the final time on February 2, 2021. Its successor, the long-awaited NoPixel 3.0, launched on February 5; it is considered a soft Continuity Reboot, thus giving everyone a chance to start storylines anew, until its successor, NoPixel 4.0, another soft continuity reboot set after a 5-year Time Skip, launched on December 15, 2023.

In addition, there are spin-off servers:

• A non-whitelist public server, NP Public, launched in June 2021.
  • Public was later split into the Purple and Green public servers, with Purple eventually shutting down in early 2023.
  • The NoPixel Classic public server, which used a modified version of the 2.0 codebase and mechanics, operated from April to September 2023.
• A South American server for Portuguese speakers, NoPixelSA, launched in Spring 2022.
• NoPixel India was for Indian players.
• NoPixel also launched its own Rust roleplay server in Summer 2022.

Tropes A-M

• Awakening the Sleeping Giant: The HOA rarely gets into gang wars, but when they are poked enough to decide to take action, it has ended with the ESB, the Condemned, and Pink Gang all being disbanded.
• Abhorrent Admirer: Julio Thomas worships the ground that Trooper Copper walks on. But she absolutely cannot stand him because he's a dorky weirdo in a neon rave mask.
• Aborted Arc: Sometimes characters begin an arc that goes nowhere for whatever reason, either because characters die, because they don't meet up again in roleplay, or because they lose interest.
• Adam Westing: In December 2021, Moonmoon started playing on NoPixel again as a fictionalized version of himself. This was followed by other players on the server, including Penta, Kyle, Garek, TheChief1114, Vigors, and a few others doing the same, showing how much Los Santos would actually suck for them.
• Addled Addict:
  • Chips Ahoy is a full-on crack addict, and it manifests in his stooped-over posture and some of his mannerisms.
  • Windsong is pretty much dependent on weed, and it directly affects her driving and memory.
  • Willie Copperpot used to take crack to increase her stamina, but insisted she wasn't a crackhead. (Except she totally was.)
• Aerith and Bob: A server rule is that a character's name has to at least sound like it could be a real name, so most characters have fairly common given names. But then there's given names like "Siz," "Kray-tor," "Bovice," "Flop," "Tyme," "Fingle/Phingle/Vingle/Kingle/Broskingle/Peachingle," among others.
• Alternate Continuity:
  • NoPixel takes place in an entirely different continuity from GTA V and GTA Online.
  • The non-whitelist NP Public server, which opened in June 2021, takes place within an alternate continuity from the main whitelist server. Meowfurryon even mentions that killing him in the main universe "isekai'd" him to this alternate continuity. The South American server, NoPixelSA, also takes place in its own continuity.
  • The Aftermath RP server was set up as an alternate NoPixel, in that it takes place in a universe where a nuclear bomb went off, irradiating Los Santos for five years and causing a zombie apocalypse. Various NoPixel characters (including Mr. Chang and Mikey Dias) made appearances here.
  • NoPixel players have roleplayed as their characters on a Harry Potter version of Garry's Mod. It's pretty surreal seeing Tessa, Alabaster Slim, and Dexx as Hogwarts students.
    Dexx: My issue is, we Grove Slytherin Families, and I don't be fuckin' with the Ravenclaw, 'aight? I don't. So if I see you on the block, you goin' around that spiral staircase, you gon' pay me 20 Galleon every time you see my ass, 'aight? And if you don't, it's gon' be on sight every time.
  • The Red Dead Redemption 2-based server WildRP could be considered an alternate continuity, as characters like Sam Baas, William Gunner, and James Randal are present there.
  • In other cases, NoPixel players may have transplanted their characters to or from other roleplay servers.
• Ambiguously Human: Sherry Paie speaks in a Machine Monotone, and given some of the strange things she's said about herself, she may or may not be a robot, cyborg, alien, or combination of the three.
• AM/FM Characterization: Until the DMCA strikes in mid-2020, streamers would play music in the background that served to complement to their respective characters' personalities.
  • Kiwo and KylieBitkin each play actiony synth music in the background for their cop characters, making Lauren and Angel's streams much more like Eighties action dramas.
  • Pons played classic rock during Officer Tucker's police chases.
  • Mick played 70s/80s R&B during Gladys Berry's streams; Gladys sometimes even sang along with it.
  • Charlieblossom is a master at this. Windsong listens to 60s/70s psychedelic rock, Peggy listens to 90s/00s bubblegum pop, Sheila listens to "tough girl" rock, Madison is backed by "upscale" elevator music, Damzel is backed by Disney incidental music, and Dee and Tor listen to Insane Clown Posse.
• Amnesia Loop: Claire Seducer used to lose her memory every time the sun rose in Los Santos.
• Artifact Name: No one in the Chang Gang is named "Chang." The gang was named after Mr. K's original persona, Mr. Chang, and they kept the name even after Mr. K adopted his new identity.
• Artistic License – Law: Angel sued Copperpot for printing false statements in the Los Santos Herald. Angel's lawyer Summer Mersion filed a statement of claim on slander, and spent the entire trial arguing over Copperpot's slander. Copperpot, in her closing statement, notes that Summer was factually wrong — Copperpot should have been sued for libel rather than slander, as the statements had shown up in print, and slander covers spoken statements. Copperpot's player even says that in a real life, a judge likely would have thrown out such an egregiously incorrect statement of claim, but since this is NoPixel, the roleplay takes precedence.^note Copperpot still wins the case, though not on this technicality — Judge Stanton rules that Copperpot had properly vetted her source before publishing, and printed in good faith.
• As Himself: During his brief time on the server, Jason "Jay" Mewes played a criminal version of himself.
• Attending Your Own Funeral: Subverted by way of Actor Allusion.
  • Charlieblossom showed up at Dee Mented's funeral — not as Dee, but as Windsong, who had never even met Dee.
  • CallMeGrub went to Dias' funeral as Cadet Richardson.
• Author Avatar: Happens somewhat often, especially with newer characters in the city. In general, self-insert characters are gently discouraged, as inexperienced roleplayers with these kinds of characters occasionally take contentious situations with other roleplayers personally, instead of as a purely character-driven interaction.
• Auto Doc: Pillbot is a robotic doctor at Pillbox Hospital.
• Auto-Tune: Outto-Tune Tyrone, or OTT, had an auto-tuner installed into his vocal chords, and talks/sings in a constant Auto-Tune.
• Ax-Crazy: Dee and Tor Mented, literally. Both have hair-trigger tempers and prefer hatchets as their melee weapon of choice, and this ultimately led to both of their deaths.
• Back for the Dead: Charlieblossom hadn't played as Damzel or Tor for several weeks before bringing them back during a permathon, with the express intent of having them both killed off for good.
• Bad Guys Do the Dirty Work: At the end of the ESB vs. everyone war, Andi Jones (the HOA's Token Good Teammate) ends up with ownership of the city's LTD gas stations. After some negotiation, she agrees to sell the Little Seoul gas station to Mr. K and his gang for a sum of money and one favor — they must kill the serial killer Jasper Saxon. Ultimately a subversion; the gang talks it over and decide not to kill Jasper since they've broken him out of prison before, but they do agree to capture him and bring him to Andi, which she's just as ok with.
  • Ultimately, Jasper gets killed by Dr. Choi and Officer Faily. That didn't stop Siz and Kleb from shooting up Jasper's corpse so they could be credited for killing him.
• Bad Santa: Right before Christmas 2020, Santa Claus' voice booms out a vague "Reason You Suck" Speech, then he sends the citizens to a hell dimension filled with zombies. Just about every character puzzles over why Santa would do this. Turns out it was All Just a Dream.
  Ah, the city of Los Santos! How many of you have been naughty? How many of you have been nice? It's a good thing I have this list, so I'm able to check through twice. Ho ho ho ho! Happy Holidays, everyone! And to all...a long night!
• Bag of Spilling: All characters' items, properties, vehicles, and bank account (or debt) balances were erased during the switch from 2.0 to 3.0.
• Band of Brothers: The LSPD, PBSO, and SDSO but the former two especially. They squabble, complain, and sometimes even take each other to court, but at the end of the day, they have each other's backs, and collectively mourn whenever one of their fellow officers dies.
• Berserk Button:
  • Don't use the word "old" around anyone in Prune Gang. It won't end well.
  • Don't casually injure animals around Tessa or Fred; it almost always ends in death.
  • Do NOT mess with Bruce Nelvico's car. At all.
  • Don't say "fuck the HOA." The HOA broke Zee Nanakaze's hands for saying just that.
  • Dee Mented took her hatchets seriously ("They're my friends!") and stalked Deputy Dias for taking them away from her. Dee also didn't tolerate any mistreatment of Zee Nanakaze; when Dee went after the HOA for attacking Zee, Siz and Fred permanently killed Dee.
  • Don't come between Four Tee and anyone on her "friends list," unless you're already on the list. And heaven help you if you harm one of her friends; Four Tee unloaded an AK-47 on Teddy Addison out of retribution for harming Sai Carter.
  • Don't get Yung Dab's face tattoo and show it off to Siz Fulker (Dab's "son"). Siz kicked Fingle Dan's ass for doing just that.
  • Don't yucking swear around Chatterbox.
• Beware the Nice Ones: Hedi and Tessa are two of the nicest and most beloved characters in the city. But heaven help you if you cross either one.
• Beware the Silly Ones:
  • Vivi Veine talks in a very cutesy, sing-song way, and has silly pet names for her friends, but uses this as a disarming tactic; she actually delights in torture, mutilation, and murder.
  • Sergeant Angel is a good-humored goofball, but she's also deadly when going toe-to-toe against criminals.
  • Mr. K is hilarious in every situation he gets into, but he's also the head of the most powerful gang in the city.
  • The HOA is one of the funnier groups in the city, usually getting into mischief in Mirror Park or at the Mirror Park Tavern, but are ruthless and deadly when other gangs to war with them, as the East Side Ballas and Pink Gang each found out.
  • The Blocks are all Stupid Evil and pretty silly, but a lot of Mike Block's plans actually work and cause citywide chaos. Plus, Mike Block being Friend Number 1 on Four Tee's friends list has skewered what little sanity she has and turned her into more of a hateful, violent person.
  • Melbert Rickenbacker is also usually pretty silly in his role as a self-professed "agent of chaos," but he can go from mischievious to cold and methodical in the blink of an eye, and is incredibly dangerous when he does.
• Big Fun:
  • Abdul is a large guy and one of the most gregarious people in the city. However, during one arc, he loses his appetite and his weight after getting PTSD from being shot by the police.
  • Deputy Cornwood is a fat, chaotic goof with a tendency towards jollity.
• Big Good: Chief of Police Jackie Snow for the first half of 2.0. After the PD restructure, Troopers Andrews and Soze. With the start of 3.0, Metzger seems to be taking over this role. Despite not being the highest ranking PD member, he is effectively running the department and is the highest ranking PD member that isn't tainted by corruption.
  • Following the latest restructure, Kyle Pred of all people. With his promotion to Sheriff of the BCSO he's shaken up the established norms within the police department, mostly for the better.
• Big, Stupid Doodoo-Head: After being forbidden from being misogynistic, Jordan's too scared to insult anyone. Stacey tries goading him into it.
  Stacey: You're a pussy! You're soft now! What the fuck is wrong with you?
  Jordan: Oh yeah? Well you're...dumb!
• Biting-the-Hand Humor: Twitch and its policies and meta are constantly made fun of.
  • Holden "Blind Son" Block started calling himself "First Playthrough Son."^note Making fun of Twitch changing "blind playthroughs" to "first playthroughs" to avoid offending blind people.
  • Characters started getting super paranoid about singing songs or listening to music, shrieking "DMCA!" to anyone else playing music.^note This came after Twitch started issuing copyright strikes against streamers for playing music.
  • Twitch's glut of hot tub bikini streamers in its "Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches" category is a sore spot for the server after one player got a temporary ban for hanging out in the just-as-racy Vanilla Unicorn, and catches a lot of flack.
    • Sheriff Pred, Trooper Copper, and a few others stripped down to bathing suits and hung out in a fountain, with Copper asking for "gifted subs" so she could do a "bikini change."
    • Koil once wryly joked that he'd add hot tubs to the Vanilla Unicorn to get it to pass muster with Twitch's moderation. A month or so later, the VU was indeed remodeled to include hot tubs.
  • Wrangler says that his raid evidence consists of "drugs, guns, and paraphernalia." Nancy Ree says that it sounds like a new Twitch category.
  • Facebook Gaming isn't immune to this, either. Whenever characters whose streamers are on FBG are around, characters will make fun of Mark Zuckerberg.
• Bizarro World: In many respects, NP Public has become this. Jordan Steele is a cop again; Roland Nelson and Fingle Dan are cops; Sherry Paie, Cheddar Sanchez, and Yuno Sykk are park rangers; Tessa Lamb is a criminal; and Randy Bullet is a fat guy named Roundy Buffet.
• Black Dude Dies First: Obliquely lampshaded in this clip, when Mike Block and Cheddar meet Ghostface.
  Ghostface: Now listen. There's rules to horror movies. Who knows the rules?
  Cheddar: There's gotta be a big tittie girl.
  Mike: [realizing] Uh...oh, fuck. C'mon, man. Why you gotta break the news to me like that?
  Ghostface: Sorry, Mike. [pulls out knife]
  Mike: That's fucked up, yo! [gets stabbed]
• Blue-and-Orange Morality: Lots of criminals.
  • During the #RickyWorld arc, Ricky preached a bizarre sermon of "sand is water" to his gang of Rickys.
  • Dee Mented was raised by Juggalos, developed abandonment issues, and only had the music of Insane Clown Posse as her guide to morality.
  • The penal code, quite often. For example, prostitution carries a harsher penalty than attempted murder. This was often Lampshaded by Wrangler who would tell suspects they would have been fine if they had just tried to murder police officers, but since they were selling drugs they're in real trouble.
• Bodyguarding a Badass: Andrews would occasionally tell cadets their job was to make sure Angel didn't die. This is despite the fact that Angel is one of the deadliest officers on the force.
• Brain Transplant:
  • Dr. Agnes transplanted Chips' brain into a female body to cure him of HIV.
  • The remnants of Mr. Chang's brain were used to restore him as Mr. K.
• Breaking the Fourth Wall: Technically not supposed to happen; players are supposed to stay in-character and not acknowledge that they're in a video game. But that doesn't stop it from happening whenever it's funny or dramatically necessary.
  • After Angel was rescued from Bovice, the drugs that he'd made her take caused her to briefly notice her player KylieBitkin's Twitch chat.
  • After Mel mentioned that Davey had shot a guy for not following orders at gunpoint, he and Eugene had this conversation:
    Eugene: Mel, you and Davey are the reason new people leave the server.
    Mel: [Punching the air] I'm the reason the melee cooldown got shortened!
  • Soze and Andrews frequently drive around and laugh about Redditors who complain about NoPixel.
  • After a visit to Pillbox for a benign injury, Mel's player Spaceboy jokingly issued a server-wide OOC command^note Which all other active players can see — usually it's reserved for noting server issues and announcing perma deaths stating simply "perma btw." When people saw the OOC on other streams and jumped over to Spaceboy's stream to investigate — as Mel is one of the most well-known characters in the server, and a perma would be a big deal — Mel and Gladys turned around and quietly flipped off the camera.
  • Occasionally a character will mess up and mention something out of character; any other nearby characters will instantly react with humor and confusion.
  • Parodied: Diego makes fourth wall breaks all the time, as befitting his source material, but it confuses the heck out of other characters.
• Break the Cutie:
  • Bovice broke Angel pretty thoroughly; he had her kidnapped, force-fed her drugs, threatened to skin her alive, left her with extreme PTSD, then attempted to kidnap her twin sister.
  • Denzel put Lauren through absolute hell; he casually shotgunned her in the face (leaving a scar), used the same shotgun to permanently kill her love interest Dias, and then openly mocked her while she was working as his corrections officer.
• Briefer Than They Think: All In-Universe:
  • Yung Dab, whose "Gnome" arc was one of the more memorable storylines on the server, was only active in version 2.0 for about two months in 2019, and active in version 3.0 for one week in 2021. But he did so much and made such a lasting impact that people think he was around for a lot longer.
  • Jackie Hyde was in Los Santos for less than a month before she was permanently murdered, but she's one of the more well-known deceased characters on the server.
  • Dee Mented was only active for about four or five months in 2019 before being permanently killed off, but still remains one of Charlieblossom's more popular characters.
  • Michael "The Bloodhound" Dias was only a full BCSO deputy for about five months in 2019 before Denzel permanently killed him.
  • Andi Jones is popularly known as the mayor of Los Santos — mostly by Mike Block, whose favorite pasttime is kidnapping her — but she only served her two terms over the course of four months in 2021.
• British Rockstar: Hubcap Jones is an older, more grizzled example; as the lead singer of Love Fist, he's lived a life filled with Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll.
• Broad Strokes: In this continuity, Los Santos is a part of Blaine County, so the BCSO has a presence in Mission Row PD.
• Bullying a Dragon: Copper once put Bovice on hold when he called her, much to his confusion. Bear in mind that he'd previously kidnapped and stabbed her by this point.
• Bunny-Ears Lawyer:
  • Sergeant Brittany Angel once moonlit as a stripper, and even did a dance during a Vault standoff.
  • Lauren Forcer also did a brief stint as a dancer at the Vanilla Unicorn.
  • Even Madison Pratt, of all people, moonlit as a stripper one evening and even flirted with the idea of becoming a dominatrix, mostly because her player was seeking Rule of Funny.
  • Dr. Agnes Ranbough wears a top hat that she keeps her pet tarantula under. This is probably the least odd thing about her.
  • Brian Knight is a nerdy police cadet who was knighted as "The Witcher of Los Santos" by Mayor Eugene.
• The Bus Came Back: Yung Dab's jailbreak and return to Los Santos was such a big deal that Twitch themselves tweeted a video about it.
• Butt-Monkey:
  • Mantis is really good at playing these kinds of characters. Both his characters Jerry Callow and Officer Toretti are well-known butt-monkeys in the city.
  • Claire Seducer is also a target; everyone makes fun of her constantly.
  • Played for Drama with Deputy Forcer, who is frequently ignored on comms by her fellow officers.
  • Sai Carter is so pathetic that a state announcement was issued that named him as the official "Los Santos puss boy."
  • Ricky Borby and Jason Polam also qualify.
• Cain and Abel: Dee and Tor Mented had this relationship (despite only being adoptive siblings) at the time of Dee's death. Turned out that Dee had stolen a bunch of Tor's possessions and mannerisms, and killed their father, before coming to Los Santos. Tor came after Dee intending to find and kill her, but quickly discovered she was a couple months too late — the HOA had already taken care of it.
• Canon Foreigner: Edna Moose originated as a character in Kitboga's scambait videos.
  • After a period of absence, Grognak the Destroyer, Attorney at Law returned to GTA RP and became a character within the server in April 2021. Hilarity Ensues.
• Captain Ersatz: Carl Crimes for Carl Grimes. He's even played by Chandler Riggs, and his criminal mugshot is a headshot of Carl from the TV show.
• Card-Carrying Villain: Mike Block knows he's a villain, loves that he's a villain, and goes out of his way to be a villain.
• Cartwright Curse: Inverted and played straight. Deputies Mikey Dias and Lauren Forcer are each badasses in their own right, and had been trying to hash out a relationship, but Dias ends up dead at Denzel's hand.
• The Casanova: Yung Dab, particularly in 4.0.
• Cast of Snowflakes: Despite the finite amount of character models, and aside from a few notable exceptions, most characters in the server tend to look very distinctive from each other.
• The Chew Toy: Steven Hayes. The man just wants to do his job at Burger Shot, but he keeps on being roped into chaotic situations. His car is also getting constantly destroyed.
• Clingy Jealous Girl: By Four Tee's logic, Four Tee's friendship is all her friends need. So whenever someone gets in the way of her friendship, she doesn't take it well. In particular, Four Tee gets incredibly jealous of Mercy Moon (who is NOT on the friends list) hanging out with Jack, Sai, and Bryce, and makes a bunch of not-so-veiled threats against Mercy.
• Clingy Costume: The Lady of the Lake frequently torments people by placing them in these. Characters have been magically dressed in all manner of outfits and find themselves unable to remove them until The Lady decides they can go free. Sometimes this can last for months at a time, and has been threatened as a permanent punishment if someone really makes her upset.
  • This frequently happens to Kray-Tor, who found himself trapped wearing a neko girl outfit for several months before being set free.
  • Lily Mackenzie was stuck wearing a wedding dress and could only remove it if she were to get married.
• Collective Identity: The Ricky Boys started off as Ricky and his friends kidnapping people, forcing them to wear his costume, and getting them to tell others their name is Ricky as a way to circumvent his own legal repercussions. It eventually evolved into a Religion of Evil called Rickyism, with several characters adopting the Ricky persona with a religious fervor.
• Color-Coded Characters:
  • Mel Rickenbacker colors everything lime green, from his polo shirts and hoodies to his vehicles.
  • Abdul al-Rahim, being a taxi driver, prefers everything adorned in yellow. Usually he'll wear a yellow t-shirt, but he also has a yellow suit and fedora that he wears on occasion (like when he runs for mayor).
  • Eugene Zuckerberg usually wears a salmon-colored cardigan, and on occasion wears a salmon-colored suit, or paints his vehicles salmon.
  • Lana Valentine's main color is bubblegum pink; she typically prefers to have pink hair and clothes.
  • Bruce Nelvico has white hair, wears a white suit, and drives a white car.
  • Bryce Miller's distinctive go-to colors are typically some combination of purple and white, with occasional aqua.
• Continuity Reboot: Whenever the server is upgraded to a new version, typically the memory is wiped, giving players the chance to restart their characters from scratch. The upgrade from 2.0 to 3.0 involved economy and criminal record wipes, required all characters to forget rivalries from before, remember their groups/gangs/friends if they wanted, and generally play as if they're meeting everyone else for the first time; the upgrade from 3.0 to 4.0 allowed some continuity to be preserved, but was set after a Time Skip (dating is ambiguous, with some streamers believing the in-game year started as 2028, and others believing 4.0 canon started in 2023 as in real life) with a massive uprising against the city government closing out the 3.0 server’s activities in December 2023.
• Continuity Snarl: After the upgrade from NoPixel 2.0 to 3.0, continuity went directly out the window with how everyone remembered each other, and what exactly they remembered; the only instruction was that they couldn't remember prior conflicts or grudges.
  • Many longtime characters completely reset and lost their character development, acting like they were in Los Santos for the first time and had never met anyone else before.
  • Several characters, such as the cops, acted as if they'd been in the city a while, but didn't know any of the criminals and civilians they had known before.
  • Some opted for a "soft" reboot, where they remembered certain events and individuals, but not others. For instance, Bryce and Tessa remembered that they were best friends who were reuniting after a long time, but Bryce didn't remember Richard Dark.
  • Lauren Forcer and Denzel Williams were the only individuals who remembered a conflict from 2.0, since their war was central to both characters; Lauren's face scar was caused by Denzel. This led to later drama after Denzel was elected mayor; Lauren knows that he's a psychopathic cop killer, but she can't do anything about it because he has a clean record in 3.0.
  • A handful of characters, including the entire HOA, fully remembered the events of version 2.0. This led to a lot of angst when they discovered all their possessions and criminal records were gone, and led to some confusion between Siz (who remembered Alabaster Slim from before) and Alabaster Slim (who, from his perspective, was meeting Siz for the first time).
  • Four Tee and Mel did both. In Four Tee's case, she had experienced the events of 2.0, but was abducted and put back into "the black box" (where she grew up) for a time, causing her to completely forget everything and essentially reset to day one (aside from some abandonment trauma). In Mel's case, he had some temporary amnesia that caused him to think he'd just arrived in Los Santos from Detroit, but he regained his memories the next day.
  • Similarly, in 4.0, due to the developers not updating the in-game technology to match with their (already vague) December 15, 2023 lore document, all the streamers (and NoPixel Wiki editors) were confused as to how to interpret the five-year Time Skip. Some took it to mean 5 San Andreas years (equal to five days in real life) and act as if it were 2023-24, while others decided to act similarly but transplant the five-year skip into the 2018-2023 time period, and still others decided to designate the current year as 2028, counting up from then onward. In any case, the admins of the No Pixel Wiki resolved that the current year for editors should reflect real life.
• Courtroom Antics: Aside from the most serious of trials, normal bench trials can involve objections being called for things like asking Tessa if she feels empowered as a woman (which Jerry objected to), objections over a person's job title ("Objection! Speculation."), a mime being called to the stand, or impromptu random dance parties breaking out. And anytime Eugene, Mr. K, or Mike Block run their own defenses, it's utter madness.
• Crapsack World: Los Santos in a nutshell, owing to the source material. Robberies and murders occur almost constantly; heaven help you if you get caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. It really says a lot when a common gathering point in the community is the hospital.
• Crazy Enough to Work:
  • On a whim, Davey, Jobie, Bryce, and Jeevas decide to steal Van Gogh's Starry Night from the FBI by running in with guns drawn. Between the element of surprise and the agents being complete morons, it works.
  • The Rainbow Road Heist that was masterminded by Yuno Sykk, and carried out by Yuno, X, Downbad Mickey, and Buddha.
• Crazy-Prepared: Alberl Jonie (otherwise known as the Tower) made numerous police reports building a context of him being a victim of the Tower. Eventually, this paid off after he inadvertently left DNA evidence at the crime scene, let a victim go with his phone number, and let a victim escape with footage of his face. He'd told the officers in charge of his case that he'd previously tried to help the police tackle the Tower, only for it to blow up in his face. He went on to tell the cops that he didn't want to do any of it, except the Tower had threatened his safety again if he did not comply. The cops let him off with a fine, time served, and possible immunity in the future.
• Crisis Crossover:
  • Both the Halloween and the Christmas Zombie Apocalypses involved everyone who was in the city at the time.
  • On a smaller scale, the war against the East Side Ballas incorporated just about every gang and criminal organization in the city teaming up against ESB.
• Da Editor: Formerly Ron Otterman of LSBN until he took an extended leave of absence, leaving Ursula Leichenberg in charge. Ursula has since delegated a bunch of responsibilities to Felix Volk.
• Damsel in Distress:
  • Mike Block regularly kidnaps the mayor. He had kind of a Shredder/April dynamic going on with Mayor Andi, which he'd later repeat with Mayor Emma.
  • Exaggerated with Damzel N. D'Stress from 2.0, who was so painfully helpless that she couldn't step off of a curb, climb stairs, or open a door.
• Dark and Troubled Past: Most of the characters have these.
• Dead Man Writing: Accidental example: Dias left a note for Lauren in their house, apologizing for their relationship issues at the time, and expressing his hope to fix things and see her again; he later went on duty and was murdered by Denzel. Lauren and Hedi only found and read it after he died.
• Deadpan Snarker: Lance Malton, and Bobby Smith on occasion.
• Dead Person Impersonation:
  • Tor has impersonated her dead adoptive sister Dee while doing petty crime. It works because the two have similar builds and mannerisms (owing to their upbringing together), and because of limited awareness of Dee's death.
  • Davey once used a stolen ID while trying to get a driving test with Tessa. Problem was, the ID was that of one of Tessa's permanently deceased friends. She coldly kicked Davey out of her car for attempting it.
• Deal with the Devil: Norman Bones has pulled Dundee out of Purgatory two times, in exchange for Dundee helping Norman fulfill a legacy of chaos and murder. Dundee believes Norman is a God of the Dead or a Humanoid Abomination.
• Death Is a Slap on the Wrist: It's incredibly common for characters to experience injuries that would kill normal people, like burns from explosions, multiple gunshot wounds, or helicopter blades to the face. But a quick trip to Pillbox Medical and they're fixed up and made right as rain.
• Denser and Wackier: The server started off as a pretty straightforward GTA RP server, but over time it has added funny characters and goofy situations that make it a lot more cartoony at times.
• Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Bryce Miller trips up Norman Bones — the undead personification of death — with some banana peels.
• Dirty Cop:
  • It wasn't allowed in 2.0 per the server rules. Any cops who engage in criminal activity are removed from the police force. By the end of 2.0 this rule was largely unenforced, leading to some officers going as far as putting hits out on others.
  • In 3.0, Andrews began accepting bribes, and later got wrapped up in Baas' attempted execution of Dundee. Then there is Wrangler, who routinely uses entrapment or violates the rights of suspects in order to secure a conviction.
• Double Agent: Yeager works with Warden Fontaine to escort maximum security prisoner Yung Dab to offsite therapy sessions. What Fontaine doesn't know, however, is that Yeager is also working with Lang Buddha and the Guild to help free Dab. To save his cover, Yeager pretends to be at their mercy when the break occurs.
• Double Meaning: To keep things in-character, characters have code phrases for real-world issues with the game.
  • NPCs are called "locals."
  • If there's no active doctor characters in the server, then characters need to use the built-in hospital mechanic to heal. This involves talking to "Nancy," the invisible hospital receptionist.
  • If a player has connection issues or gets fully disconnected, then the character says that they're having a headache or their head is popping.
    • If there's a mass disconnection, then it's described as a "Thanos Snap."
    • If a player intentionally makes their own head pop through an F8 quit command — which is technically against the rules — then other characters will say that they "fazed up".
  • If there are problems with audio, a character may say "my voice box wasn't working" or "my ears aren't working."
  • A server reset is called "the tsunami."
  • Inactive players are described as "asleep" or "out of the city." If they've recently gotten into the server to play, then they "just woke up."
  • If they need to enter and exit their house to fix a glitch, then it's a "soft nap." If they have to log out and log back in to fix a glitch, then it's a "hard nap."
  • If one player's character model is lagging for other characters, it can be fixed by the character jumping. To get them to jump, other characters will tell them that they have a spider on their foot.
  • Glitches are "scuff" or "Harry Potter."
  • The NoPixel player forums are obliquely described as the "Government Website."
  • Server slots are "train tickets." If a player has low queue priority (decreasing their likelihood of getting into the server), then they have a "bad ticket."
  • Members of the server dev team are called "construction workers."
  • A character's inventory is their "pockets," and if a character passes one item to another while in a vehicle, they can "put it in the glovebox."
  • If one character doesn't know how to perform an action, another character may tell them to "flex your __ muscle," which corresponds to a key on the player's keyboard.
• The Dreaded:
  • Bovice Wilkinson. He's had leaders of Los Santos' biggest gangs working for him, he effortlessly abducted and stabbed multiple police officers and DOJ members, and he keeps the city's police and citizens fully on edge, all while working from the shadows and employing flunkies like Voldemort.
  • Norman Bones absolutely terrifies Dundee and Mel.
  • All State Troopers are this for the criminals. Quite a few criminals are also terrified of Angel, Baas, and Mcclane.
  • Most any criminal who knows him knows to be very afraid of Wrangler for how good he is at getting search warrants and raids off of the smallest of things. If word reaches a gang a member has been picked up by Wrangler it usually turns into a race against time to empty the stashes before Wrangler can lock them down ahead of a warrant.
• Drink-Based Characterization:
  • Bryce Miller, a frat bro, almost exclusively drinks White Claw hard seltzer.
  • Dee and Tor Mented, both Juggalettes, drink nothing but Faygo. Zee even kept it stocked for Dee in the diner.
• Early-Installment Weirdness: NoPixel started out as an ARMA III roleplay server, before switching to a GTA V server using the FiveM mod.
• The Eeyore: Lampshaded by Steven Hayes, who says that Orpheus is the city's Eeyore.
• Elvis Lives: In this universe, Tupac Shakur not only faked his death, but casually hangs around Los Santos as a thrill-seeking criminal.
• Enemy Mine: At best, most of the gangs in San Andreas have an unspoken truce where everyone keeps to their turf and only engage when necessary. However, the East Side Ballas managed to piss off every single gang in the city all at once, and just about all of them — from the Chang Gang, to the Bondi Boys, to Grove Street Familes, to Sahara International, to Schnake Gang, to the HOA (who stay out of gang beefs altogether and only defend Mirror Park) — banded together to hunt down and eliminate the ESB in late 2020.
  • On a smaller scale, after Shelly was kidnapped by Mike Block, The Tower (a serial killer who has clashed with Burger Shot on occasion) offered Shelly help in dealing with people who hurt her, because (in his words) he "doesn't like when other people play with [his] toys".
  • Chang Gang has recently managed to piss off the ESB, Jean Paul and his Gulag Gang, the Cleanbois, the BBMC, and potentially the Vagos in less than a week. Most of this being a consequence of their robbing Jean Paul and his gang of the loot they'd earned from the first successful robbery of the lowest levels of the city vault ever before they could even get out of the bank. Unfortunately for them Jean Paul is one of the few people in Los Santos who's not only just as well connected as they are, but also equally prone to fits of spite and and violence when crossed.
• Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Denzel's love and affection for his wife Andi, and for his adopted nephews the Nerds, is actually really sweet. He doesn't hesitate to pull a sawed-off shotgun on Mike Block for attempting to kidnap Andi yet again. Chips lampshades this by calling him "Family Man Denzel" whenever they talk.
• Expy:
  • Herbert is one for Family Guy's Herbert, down to the age, voice, and Dirty Old Man tendencies, but with a completely different background, motivations, and look.
  • The late ADA Kermit Delaw was one for Kermit the Frog. He had the same voice, but was a human attorney instead of a Muppet frog.
  • Kay and Quiet Rob are obvious ones for Jay and Silent Bob.
• Face of an Angel, Mind of a Demon: Vivi Veine has a very bubbly and warm exterior, but she's actually one of the most debauched and chaotic killers in the city.
• Fake Band: A sizable chunk of characters in the city have produced their own music, and characters can listen to most of this music on a service called Pixify (which you could listen to in real life for a time).
  • Outto-Tune Tyrone is a combination gang-banger and pop star, and is on Spotify in real life.
  • Hubcap Jones is an aged British Rockstar who plays rock concerts when he's not working his day job at Burger Shot.
  • Yung Dab is a SoundCloud rapper.
  • Wrangler had a rather successful country music arc with his own personal flair. The House Remix of Pumped, a reference to Wrangler's rebranding of the act of Wrangling into Pumping, has become well known in the city, but it's frequently played when cop players have a Twitch subathon and they call on the chat to "pump the timer".
• Failure Hero: Ripley goes from being a State Trooper to Senior Officer throughout the course of 2.0, despite never really doing anything wrong. Thankfully in 3.0 he regains a bit of his former glory when he becomes a watch commander, but he still waits for the call from the State Police that will likely never come. He ultimately got the rank back in 3.0 when he hooked Soze up with a police K9 ahead of the program's actual launch.
• Family-Friendly Stripper: The dancers at the Vanilla Unicorn wore skimpy outfits but never got naked, in order to avoid issues with Twitch's terms of service.^note This ultimately didn't work; shortly after 3.0 launched, Twitch temporarily banned a player over VU content on one of his streams. Because of this, the Vanilla Unicorn was evacuated and shut down In-Universe.
• Fan Game: LovePixel is a Dating Sim set in the NoPixel universe. The original version included old storylines like the Lot T and Lot Q war, Claire's amnesia, Officer Baas' hatred of Lana, among others; an update after 3.0 included newer storylines.
• A Father to His Men:
  • Most of the BCSO regards Sheriff Tribble as a father figure.
  • Sergeant Angel was Dias' field training officer, and regarded him as her "son."
• Felony Misdemeanor: The HOA has outlawed "simping" in Mirror Park, and will take you to HOA Court and punish you if you're found guilty.
• Fighting Irish: Anto "The Anarchist" Murphy, an Irishman and Chang Gang affiliate, isn't afraid to throw down when the situation calls for it.
• Fingore: A common injury that criminals inflict on other people is to remove their fingers or fingernails.
  • Dee Mented cut off one of Mickey Rivers' pinky fingers at Bovice's request.
  • Dundee cut off Detective Pond's fingers while torturing her.
  • Fanny Fan and Nunu El Nene tore off Raia Kaine’s fingernail under similar circumstances.
• Florence Nightingale Effect: Therapist Pixie Plum has an affair with her former patient Bryce Miller, and a milder infatuation with former patient Yung Dab.
• Four Lines, All Waiting: Except significantly more than four lines. Good luck even attempting to calculate how many storylines are going on at any given time, given the scope of things.
• Fourth-Wall Observer: Fingle Dan, who's kind of a combination of Deadpool and Turd Ferguson. He seems to know that he and everyone else are characters on a roleplay server, and everyone else just kind of rolls with it.
• Freudian Excuse:
  • Officer Bo Tucker grew up in a town where there was a lot of biker gang violence. He hated biker gangs as a result.
  • Dee was thrown in the trash as an infant, was found and raised by different families of Juggalos, experienced very little love or morality during her childhood, and (according to Word of God) was on the receiving end of abuse from Tor's father after joining the Mented family. Just before she died, Dee even implied that she once had to kill and eat rats to survive. This harsh and loveless upbringing ultimately manifested in her behavior towards others.
  • Speaking of the Mented family, Tor's mother left when she was 3 or 4, and it was apparently a sore subject in the Mented household afterward. Tor also grew to hate her adoptive sister Dee for stealing her relationships, identity, mannerisms, and possessions.
• Friendly Enemy: The majority of criminals and police have a pretty friendly relationship with each other; the only difference is that they're on different sides of the law. It's not uncommon for car chases and arrests to be tempered with witty banter.
  • Warring gangs will also be civil with each other from time to time.
• From Bad to Worse: Lauren gets ICU time and a nasty scar from Denzel shooting her. Then Denzel kills Dias (her love interest) with the same shotgun. Then, as Lauren mourns Dias, Bovice (who has been radio silent for over a month) tweets out a video promising more victims.
• The Gambling Addict: Roland Nelson is so addicted to the rush of gambling that he lets his lucky dice make everyday decisions for him. Barring a few exceptions, if someone asks him a yes-or-no question, he consults the dice; if he rolls a 1, his answer is yes, and if he rolls a 2, his answer is no.
• Gender Bender:
  • The Lady of the Lake, who is the HOA's resident deity, turned Carlos "Cheddar" Sanchez into a woman. In this form, Cheddar went by "Brie." This lasted until the start of 3.0, when the HOA noticed a Cosmic Retcon, and Cheddar found himself back in his regular form.
  • Kray-Tor also found himself transformed into a female form by the Lady of the Lake after repeatedly acting as her "vessel" to perform miracles. Usually this was a temporary transformation, but after prolonged periods of doing this, it became permanent for a time; the Lady eventually reverted him back to his regular form right at the end of 2.0. After several months of inactivity, the Lady reappeared and transformed Kray-Tor into a goth girl.
• Genius Ditz:
  • Dr. Agnes is the type to casually escort injured patients to the morgue, get in random slap fights, or breathe "alien fumes" on the daily. But she's also the first person to successfully perform a brain transplant/replant, when she cured Chips' body of AIDS.
  • Mike Block is mostly Dumb Muscle without a lick of sense; he attempted to claim MRPD as his "turf" within his first hour in the city, he causes random chaos around the police station all the damn time, once had Cheddar's heart stopped by a doctor in order to carry out a hit on an angel in Heaven, and can't see through Officer Toretti's very poor disguises. But Mike also has a master’s degree in civil engineering from MIT.
• Genre Mashup: All the damn time. If you think about it, the uber-serious Bovice and Denzel storylines, or the scenes where Lauren or Hedi have somber heart-to-hearts with other characters, each coexist with a universe that includes cowboys, cyborgs, androids, gynoids, aliens, Bigfoot, brain transplants, zombies, orcs, a night elf-like vampire, ManBearPig, and Santa Claus.
• Genre Roulette: Depends on who you're watching. If you watch Lauren Forcer or Brittany Angel, you're more likely to get a dramatic Cop Show. If you're watching Chang Gang or Prune Gang, you'll get a Black Comedy. If you’re watching Yung Dab or Vivek Ramasquamy, you’ll get a demented crime/political satire like Election, Bob Roberts or Bulworth. If you’re watching Jason Polam, you’ll get a relationship-focused Psychological Thriller with elements of Work Com. If you're watching Andi Jones, you'll get a light drama like on the mid-2000s USA Network. If you're watching Windsong, you'll get a Dramedy that wouldn't be out of place on HBO. If you're watching Bryce or Carmella, you're getting a show that wouldn't be out of place on The CW.
• Go-Karting with Bowser: It's not uncommon to see cops and criminals hanging out and partying, or trading friendly banter with each other.
• Good Scars, Evil Scars: Lauren Forcer got a huge but subtle scar on her face after being shotgunned by Denzel, and she's easily one of the most lawful people in Los Santos. By comparison, Siz Fulker has a horrendous red facial scar on half of his face — to the extent that the steadfastly vegan Windsong couldn't even look at him at first — and while he isn't really an "evil" person per se, he does leads the less-than-lawful HOA.
• Grail in the Garbage: Valentina Hops gets a Kevin toy from Burger Shot, which she stuffs away, thinking it's some kind of ripoff toy. What she doesn't know is that it's super rare, and half the city — in particular, Sheriff Kyle Pred — are driving themselves crazy looking for it for their collections.
• Granola Girl: Georgina "Windsong" Williams fancies herself as a New-Age Retro Hippie. She believes in peace and love, eats a vegan diet, listens to Sixties and Seventies psychedelic rock, hates organized religion, and believes in herbal remedies. Her Spear Counterpart Jebediah “Beef” von Wunder, is more philosophically inclined and has a Motor Mouth, but definitely qualifies.
• G-Rated Sex: In general, any kind of depiction of sex is strenuously avoided to prevent raising Twitch's ire — especially since the very few times sexual acts were clearly depicted, it led to Twitch bans — but for a time, sex was represented by characters carrying each other on their shoulders (fully clothed) and making suggestive noises. Windsong's "orgy" was basically characters carrying characters carrying characters, with the final result looking like something out of Katamari Damacy.
• Hands-Off Parenting: Kiki does absolutely nothing to raise her 3-year-old daughter Fwan Fwankie, leaving Fwan to call other characters on the phone and ask for help.
• Handsome Lech:
  • A gender-flipped version of this trope used to apply to Claire Seducer. She is good-looking and used to use cheesy pickup lines on literally everyone she meets, but it hardly worked. Her Amnesia Loop also didn't help matters, because it meant that she did it over and over again to the same people.
  • Kyle Pred plays this one straight.
• Hates Everyone Equally: When he was first in the city, Bench Guy just wanted to spend his days sitting by himself on his bench in front of Burger Shot, and hated literally everyone in the city (aside from Sherry Paie, who he tolerated), and angrily told everyone to "fuck off" whenever they tried to talk to him. Naturally, everyone — from Sheriff Pred to OTT to Shelly to Abdul — did what they could to annoy the hell out of him, because it's really funny.
• Hearing Voices:
  • In a general sense, a character may talk about "the voices in my head" as a way to refer to their streamer's real life Twitch chat.
  • Played completely straight with Ivan Tickles, who heard the late Dee Mented's voice talking to him.
  • Played for Drama with Lauren hearing the late Mikey Dias talking to her.
• Hell Is That Noise: The wailing, off-key siren that goes off whenever a Zombie Apocalypse occurs. Commented on by Francis and Tessa here.
• Heroic Dog: Fenton and Bowser, two Rottweilers on the state police force.
• Hilariously Abusive Childhood: Because of Kiki's Hands-Off Parenting, her daughter Fwan calls up other characters for help, with comically disastrous results for Fwan.
• Hooker with a Heart of Gold: BR3ND4 is a robotic version; she's designed as a pleasure bot, but she can also be really nice to the people she meets. During her encounter with Tessa, BR3ND4 helps Tessa's mood by dancing, giving her flowers, complimenting her hair, and telling her a lovely fact about dogs.
• Humans by Any Other Name: Amadeus Gryffindor came to Los Santos from another dimension, and calls humans "chompskihomps."
• I Ate WHAT?!: Fingle Sauce is Fingle Dan's semen. The typical reaction is a much-justified gross-out, although Wrangler enjoys it.
• Inexplicably Identical Individuals: Owing to Only Six Faces (see below) Brittany Angel and Veronika del Monika look the same, Freya Chang and Tor Mented look the same, and Dee Mented and CodePsyko look the same, despite being unrelated.
• Ink-Suit Actor:
  • Carl looks just like his actor Chandler Riggs, to the point that Deputy Forcer used a picture of Carl from The Walking Dead as the mugshot in his criminal file.
  • Pat Downing originally looked like his player, Spaceboy.
  • Officer Joey Parmesan looks a lot like his player, Mizkif.
• Insistent Terminology:
  • Prune Gang doesn't like the word "old." They prefer "experienced." However, they're more likely to beat you up if you get it wrong rather than talk it out with you.
  • Remember to call Fenton a trooper, fuckface.
• Inspector Javert: Thanks to a comment from Kiki Chanel, Officer Dark is convinced that Tessa is actually the criminal mastermind "El Tesso," and is investigating her closely.
• Intercourse with You:
  • OTT's songs aren't exactly subtle. "Creampie" would probably be the best-known example.
  • Definitely "Pumped" by Randy Wrangler.
• In the Style of: OTT's song "Don't Tell Benji" is done in the style of early-2000's pop-punk like Bowling for Soup, Good Charlotte, or Fountains of Wayne. OTT even lampshades it in the opening lyrics, saying it's a throwback to the early 2000's.
• Intrepid Reporter:
  • Mickey Rivers, who oversees Weazel News, and his erstwhile employee Donie O’Sullivan.
  • Willie Copperpot, the owner/editor/reporter for the Los Santos Herald.
  • Travis Rashguard.
  • The LSBN crew consists of a group of these.
• Killed Off for Real: Players can choose to "perma" a character, or permanently kill them off, whenever it best serves the narrative. These characters are then deleted from the server and can never be remade.^note That is, except in the case of a server wipe and Continuity Reboot.
• Klingon Promotion: In order to get a higher spot on Four Tee's friends list, a friend with a lower number must challenge and defeat someone with a higher number. If the lower number wins, they get promoted to the higher number.
• Knight Templar Big Brother: Averted. Everyone expects this from Tor Mented, but it's actually a case of Wrong Genre Savvy; Tor originally came to Los Santos to kill Dee. To her credit, Tor uses this to her advantage, and it earned Davey a hatchet to the back, confused the heck out of the HOA (who definitely weren't expecting a new ally), and got Ivan Tickles permanently killed.
• Lady Looks Like a Dude: Peachingle Dan looks exactly like all the other Dans, but she's actually their sister.
• Large Ham:
  • Trooper Soze can and does make his presence known; the time he commandeers a bike for a police chase stands out.
    Soze: I'm commandeering this vehicle in the NAME OF THE POLICE!
  • Nettie is a tremendous drama queen, and gets really hammy when emoting, like the time she checks a dismembered corpse for an ID.
    Nettie: D-OH MY GOD, THAT'S RIGHT! THERE'S NO LEGS AND NO ARMS! There's no way we're identifying this guy—AND NO EAR! WHAT THE—GOD, WHAT DID THIS MAN DO? [sobs]
  • Pretty much any character played by Penta, like Ricky Robins, Jordan Steele, Mike Block, and (especially) Chase Clouter.
• LARP: The Guild, aka the Nerds, are a crew of LARP-ers who met on a Dungeons & Dragons forum and got together in Los Santos.
• Laser-Guided Amnesia:
  • If a character gets injured and isn't transported to a hospital or picked up by an EMS, and is unable to get picked up (or can't call for transport due to a lack of phone), they can respawn at Pillbox. If they do this, server rules require them to forget the details of whatever got them injured; this is how no one knows about Tessa's "Mary Wolf" personality yet.
  • Occasionally it can be up to the player what they remember; Ivan Tickles didn't remember details about Dee Mented's murder right away.
• Law Enforcement, Inc.:
  • The HOA, big time, for Mirror Park. They're basically a protection racket with uniforms.
  • Ditto Steele Security, who provide residential and business security for a fee.
• Lawful Stupid: Edna Moose, bless her heart, has perfectly good intentions for eliminating crime, but she's kind of an idiot. She has no clue that Prune Gang is a bunch of criminals, and will Leeroy Jenkins her way into stopping criminals, including the time she jumped into the middle of an active hostage situation and got herself shot.
• Leaning on the Fourth Wall: All the damn time. Characters will allude to their reality being like a video game, or will make oblique references to their real-life players.
  • Doing this is Chase Clouter's main schtick; Penta uses the character to poke fun at some of the worse OOC habits on the server.
• The Lost Lenore:
  • Before coming to Los Santos, Mikey Dias' wife Anna was killed by his brother Jose.
  • After his own murder, Dias became Lauren Forcer's Lost Lenore.
  • It's implied that Ivan Tickles considered Dee Mented his Lost Lenore.
• Louis Cypher: Red Herrington, who claims that he's the Devil, and that Los Santos is purgatory.
• Mama Bear: Angel got wind that Officer Steele had made some snide comments about Dias not 24 hours after he'd died. Since she had seen Dias as a surrogate son, Angel did not take it kindly.
  • Angel has also stated many times that the most important thing to her when on duty is making sure no officer ever feels like they are alone, and she wants to be the one who is always there for them when they need it.
• Manchild:
  • Four Tee is a female variant. Her speech patterns and vocabulary are very stilted and childlike. She's also mischievous in a childlike way, taking delight in getting into trouble. Her modus operandi is to make friends through the "Four Tee Tourney" competitions she holds, which aren't unlike when kids have other kids compete on the playground to be their best friend.
  • Kyle Pred. He collects Burger Shot toys and gets pissy whenever he gets yet another Shelly toy, and he once got into an hours-long poking match with Bench Guy.
• Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane:
  • Are the other Dans somehow physical manifestations of Fingle Dan's personality? According to Fingle Dan, they're his siblings, but Kingle "Kinglemesh" Dan frequently introduces himself as "the personification of Fingle Dan's ego," so it's anyone's guess.
  • It's not entirely clear whether Los Santos is an actual place, or is a manifestation of Purgatory. The fact that Death Is a Slap on the Wrist muddies the waters tremendously.
• Mayor Pain:
  • In 2.0, Eugene gets his tremendous criminal record expunged and takes over as Mayor of Los Santos, and spends most of his first days hunting ManBearPig.
  • In 3.0, Denzel Williams gets elected mayor. Talon intends to use this to set up a separatist autocracy with Denzel as the dictator (which leads to tension with Lang Buddha); and during his tenure, Denzel murders Bassem Shahin.
  • In 4.0, this seems to be the case with whoever wins the 2024 mayoral election, given the candidates.
• Meddlesome Patrolman: Deputy Wrangler will graciously hand out charges to anyone who breaks a law in front of him.
• Monster Clown:
  • Dee Mented was a homicidal Juggalette, although the majority of her "monster" attributes were just posturing, and imitating her adoptive sister Tor. Turns out, in her backstory, Dee killed her adoptive father, who was Tor's biological father.
  • Tor Mented, Dee's Juggalette sister, came to Los Santos specifically to hunt down and kill Dee. When she found out that the HOA had already done the job, she changed her MO and put Dee's friends on her hitlist.
  • Borderline with Ivan and Creepy, who aren't necessarily "evil," per se. That said, after Dee's murder, Ivan was more than willing to let the streets flow with HOA blood.
  • Completely averted with Happy D'Clown, who's just a regular guy who just happens to identify as a clown.
  • Chatterbox plays it straight, due to a Freudian Excuse.
• Moose and Maple Syrup: The aptly named Doug Canada is a bundle of Canadian stereotypes. He has a strong accent, he considers Bryan Adams a national hero, he enjoys hockey, he wears a "Canadian suit" (made of denim), he drives a car with a Canadian flag painted on the roof, and he's super polite. Even better, he's played by YoinksOG, who is a Canadian himself.

• My Sibling Will Live Through Me: Subverted. Tor Mented seems to be an imitation of Dee down to the voice and mannerisms, but it turns out Dee had actually been imitating Tor.
• Mythology Gag: The prison is filled with little bits of graffiti and items that identify a lot of the frequent criminal characters, both living and dead.

Tropes N-Z

• Newhart Phonecall: Very common by virtue of perspective if a character other than a viewer's chosen point of view gets a phone call. It's just as common that the person receiving the call will repeat parts of the conversation to save effort explaining later, get the ball rolling on a rapid transition, or because it's really, REALLY funny out of context. Examples include a gang member needing an urgent pick up or a cop who is looking to meet with another in person with varying urgency without interrupting radio traffic.
• No Celebrities Were Harmed:
  • Douglas James' screechy voice, which he developed after one too many electric shocks, is a perfect imitation of Police Academy-era Bobcat Goldthwait.
  • Gordo Ramsay is a caricature of Gordon Ramsay.
  • Donie O’Sullivan is an Intrepid Reporter named after the CNN reporter known for vox pop interviews at U.S. presidential campaign rallies.
  • Vivek Ramasquamy is both a caricature of real-life U.S. presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and a Trumplica.
• Non-Heteronormative Society: In general, being a LGBTQ+ person in the city is never remarked upon, shamed, or discriminated against, and is seen as completely normal, accepted, and even celebrated. The only notable exception is Captain Wrangler, but his homophobia is more inward facing and self-loathing than discrimination against anyone else's orientation.
• No Such Thing as H.R.:
  • In 2.0, the LSPD and BCSO didn't actually have HR departments, but they did have HR meetings consisting of high command wielding tennis rackets, usually enforcing the "no booty on duty" rule.
  • Averted in 3.0. The Personnel and Training Division is essentially the PD's HR branch.
• Not Using the "Z" Word: Carl Crimes calls zombies "walkers," as befitting his source material. Whenever someone tries to clarify whether he means zombies, he reacts as if he's never heard the word before.
• Off the Rails: Things can go south real quickly... a typical day at Burger Shot can lead to hostage situations, kidnapping... and annoying customers.
• One Dialogue, Two Conversations: When Tessa visits the hospital to congratulate Nettie on her engagement, Nettie thinks that Tessa is talking about a recent hatchet attack.
  Tessa: Just wanted to say that I heard the news, and I wanted to tell you congratulations. I'm happy for you.
  Nettie: Yeah, I can't believe I've survived. It was something I'd never done before. And then when she chopped me, and I fell backwards, I couldn't—
  Tessa: Nettie, I don't think we're talking about the same thing.
• One-Steve Limit: Averted; the large amount of characters in the server means that there are several who have the same first name.
• Only Known by Their Nickname: Rhett McConnell is known by everyone as "Bench Guy." Even in his role as an FIB agent, he introduces himself as "Special Agent Bench Guy."
• Only Six Faces: Since there's a finite amount of character models, it's not unheard of for two characters to look almost completely alike. Players will occasionally take advantage of this in character.
  • Sometimes a local will spawn looking like a known character. Characters occasionally poke fun at this.
  • Brittany Angel and Adrienne West turned out to be twins Separated at Birth.
  • The above was later parodied when Veronika del Monika (who also uses the same model as Angel and West) put on a police uniform to impersonate Angel. When caught after a police chase, Veronika claimed to be Angel from the future.
  • Parodied: Freya Chang and Tor Mented use the same character model (with the only differences being their hair colors and usage of clown makeup), and when they encounter each other for the first time, they are instantly taken with each other and start making out.
• The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: After Shelly was kidnapped by Mike Block, The Tower (a serial killer who has clashed with Burger Shot on occasion) offered Shelly help in dealing with people who hurt her, because (in his words) he "doesn't like when other people play with [his] toys".
• Otaku: Ken-Sama is a stereotypical fat otaku who enjoys talking in-depth about anime and peppering his speech with Gratuitous Japanese. When he thinks he meets his future self, his first impulse is to ask how One Piece ends.
• Out-of-Genre Experience: Context can change for any of the characters at any given moment. The general rule is just to roll with it.
• Paper-Thin Disguise: Officer Toretti has gone undercover twice to catch Mike Block: once while pretending to be a small child, and once while pretending to be Windsong. Neither time was especially convincing, although he fooled Mike both times, because Mike is an idiot.
• Paranormal Episode: The 2020 Halloween and Christmas events featured the citizens of Los Santos being transported into the middle of a Zombie Apocalypse, ending with a nuclear missile obliterating Los Santos. Both times, however, it was All Just a Dream.
• Paranormal Investigation:
  • Several cops have investigated Norman Bones, an avatar of Death.
  • Cas Silverton is into paranormal investigations, investigating Norman Bones and the ghost of Dee Mented.
• Parental Substitute:
  • Dee Mented saw Zee Nanakaze as the nurturing mother figure she'd never had. This made Dee incredibly defensive of Zee, which eventually led to Dee's death at the hands of the HOA.
  • Officers Steele and Pred adopted Trooper Andrews as a father figure.
• Piss-Take Rap: This seems to be the case for most rappers, particularly Yung Dab, who falls back on Stock Rhymes, poor scansion and clichés, yet manages to receive massive praise in-universe.
• Player Headquarters: The police and sheriff's deputies all primarily work out of Mission Row PD, although Sheriff Toretti usually works out of the office at Sandy Shores, and Sheriff Pred works out of the office in Paleto Bay.
• Pokémon Speak: Eyam Job can only say "Job".
• Politeness Judo: Troy Donahue is naturally polite, and Steven Hayes tries to one up him in every way. Troy does not see the rivalry, but it all started over Grognak the Destroyer, Attorney at Law.
• Pop-Cultural Osmosis: A very light example for the GTA V character models used. For instance, Mike Block is MC Clip, Four Tee is the grey hat woman from the opening cutscene, and Judge Crane is IAA Agent Bernard.
• Pre-Mortem Catchphrase: From Dee Mented, before Fred killed her: "Wicked clowns never die!"
• Prequel: The WWRP server was a de facto one, as NoPixel characters like Forcer, Tribble, and Copperpot had ancestors who were characters on WWRP.
• Precision F-Strike: It's fairly well-known on the server that Crystalst doesn't curse on stream or when playing her characters, opting instead to substitute nonsense words. This makes it extra jarring when Swan DeLeur uses an F-bomb when she coldly rebukes Rod Long for trying to break through her emotional barriers, showing that his interest in her on a non-superficial level is getting under her skin.
  Rod: Is your life in danger?
  Swan: No. It's just boring, Rod. Nothing interesting at all.
  Rod: I don't believe that. See, I think you're full of shit.
  Swan: Oh, really.
  Rod: I think you just don't wanna talk about it. So why don't you say, "I don't want to talk about it," and then we're good?
  Swan: Why do you care so fucking much, Rod?
• Punny Name:
  • Lauren Forcer, Trish Baggs, Maisy Graves, Jane Erik, Jaclyn Hyde (these five played by Kiwo), Bill Ding, Damzel N. D'Stress, Dee Mented (and her undead form, Dee Ceased), Torrance "Tor" Mented, Sherry Paie, and Fa Shun, among others.
  • There are three characters with differently spelled punny names that are all centered around the word “android”.
  • There are four characters whose names are likewise centered around the word "alien". Three guesses as to whether they're from Earth.

• Rabid Cop: When he was a cop, Jordan Steele had a hair-trigger temper and frequently yelled at suspects and fellow cops. He even tried to shoot Fenton for jumping on him. This ultimately got him removed from the police force.
• Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: Literally the Misfits, founded by OTT as a gang for alienated criminals in the city.
• Raised by the Community: Dee was found and raised by different Juggalo families, including the Mented family, whose surname she adopted.
• Random Events Plot: On a HUGE scale. Some characters' interactions will be more random depending on whose shenanigans they get pulled into.
• "Rashomon"-Style: It's uncanny how a scene's context will completely change depending on which character's perspective you're watching. A chase or a shootout from a cop's perspective will be drastically different than one from a criminal's perspective.
• Reality Warper: Fingle Dan's dementia gives him the ability to distort spacetime not just for himself, but for others near him as well.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: Prior to joining NoPixel, Sweet_Anita was already well-known on Twitch for her "Just Chatting" streams, where she educates viewers on her severe Tourette's with coprolalia. She incorporates her tics into her NoPixel character Marilyn, but plays it off as as Demonic Possession instead of Tourette's.
• Really 700 Years Old:
  • Eugene's true age is unknown. At various times he's claimed to have been around during The Second Boer War, the War of 1812, the Norman Conquest, and even biblical times, but he's also claimed to have been around for the Battles of Helm's Deep and Endor, so it's anyone's guess.
  • Mel's also in the same boat. He shows up as himself in WWRP, which takes place in the late 19th Century, and he's already elderly there.
  • Fingle Dan and his entire family as well. Fingle's ID states him to be 81 as of 2021, he himself clames to be in his 130s, but his true age is unknown, and there's implications that he and his family may be immortal due to some kind of unholy pact.
• Recursive Canon: At one point, Jacob Harth mentions to another character that he's trying to join NoPixel, explaining that it's a FiveM community with a very difficult application process.
  • NoPixel also exists within itself as a Collectible Card Game, with Los Santos' citizens all having their own trading cards In-Universe.
• Religion of Evil: Rickyism, which isn't surprising, considering it's pretty violent in general, and was started by a psychopath in an attempt to get out of a prison sentence.
• Ridiculously Human Robot: Anne Droid, portrayed by Bonnierabbit.
• Ruling Couple: Kyle Pred and Brittany Angel, as of Kyle's promotion to Sheriff. While Pred technically outranks Angel, she still has considerable power as a head of Training and Development and doesn't answer directly to Pred in terms of her department's role. Additionally, while Pred is charismatic and impulsive, Angel is analytical and methodical, and has the power and procedural knowledge to actually do the things Kyle wants done.
  • Parodied when Denzel (the current mayor) marries Andi (his immediate predecessor), and they set up a pair of Iron Thrones in front of City Hall.
• Sad Clown:
  • The ironically named Happy D'Clown is The Eeyore, although he's a pretty nice guy.
  • Dee's death completely broke Ivan Tickles; his speech at her funeral is utterly heartbreaking.
• Satellite Character: The Blocks are this for Mike, the Dans are this for Fingle, and the Mersions are this for Mia and Mikey. Subverted for Breakout Characters like Peachingle Dan and Summer Mersion, who each ascended past being satellites and have acheived recognition and noteriety on their own.
• Senseless Sacrifice: LSPD Officer Mavrick Shaw dies defending Pillbox medical from armed gunmen who were firing into the hospital at doctors and patients. Despite being previously wounded, Shaw tried to arrange to release a prisoner in exchange for the gunmen leaving. Even though he had no plans to betray the deal, the criminals shoot and kill him, resulting in him dying a pointless death.
• Screw Politeness, I'm a Senior!: Eugene and Mel started Prune Gang to make sure that elders are given the respect that they feel they're due. Plus, Eugene's an out-and-out crime lord, and Mel's an unabashed agent of chaos.
• Self-Deprecation:
  • Eugene doesn't know a thing about Star Wars and will always react with confusion whenever Darth Vader is brought up. He's played by a streamer named Vader.
  • Windsong criticized Dee during Dee's funeral. Both characters are played by Charlieblossom.
  • Tony Corleone went on The Bobby Beats Experience, ranted about the police force, and called Anthony Copleone "that fucking little bitch." Corleone and Copleone are both played by AnthonyZ.
• Sexy Discretion Shot: Since players have gotten Twitch bans for egregiously erotic content, discretion shots are about as far as sex goes when depicted on NoPixel (and even that's pushing it).
• Shout-Out Theme Naming: Whippy, an Aussie, named his two main characters Irwin Dundee and Crocodile Steve, each after Aussie icons Steve Irwin and "Crocodile" Dundee.
• Sitcom Arch-Nemesis:
  • Carl Crimes hates Trooper Soze for being a walker sympathizer, and wants to "take him down," but their relationship is pretty much this.
  • Tuong is the Sitcom Arch-Nemesis for pretty much every criminal in the city.
  • Kyle Pred and Bench Guy started off absolutely hating each other and regularly getting into marathons of seeing who could piss off the other the most.
  • Judge Dennis Labarre really hates Mel Rickenbacker. In The People V. Melbert Rickenbacker, Labarre sentenced Mel to death row, was completely beside himself with excitement on Mel's execution day, and was disappointed when Mayor Denzel casually granted Mel clemency.
  • Hubcap Jones and James Randall hate each other. So much so that James used to follow Hubcap around the country while Love Fist was on tour, getting housekeeping jobs at the hotels the band stayed at, specifically so he could put urine-stained bedsheets on Hubcap's bed.
• Snow Means Death: Thanks to just sheer serendipity, the automatic in-game snow mechanic kicked on during Dias' final radio call at his funeral service.
• Souvenir Land: Dean World, the amusement park at the Del Perro Pier, which includes a tower drop ride, a rollercoaster, a Burger Shot stand, and a few other activities. The sign at the entrance is a parody of the sign at the entrance to Walt Disney World, although Dean himself isn't a Mr. Alt Disney.
• Split Personality:
  • The meek Tessa Lamb sometimes reverts into the serial killer Mary Wolf, who stabs anyone who harms animals; Tessa has no awareness or memory of Mary and her activities. She also has a mysterious third personality that Mary Wolf can't control.
• Straight Gay: Bobby Smith, Raven, Rhodes, and Dark for the Police Force.
• Suddenly Shouting: One of Sheriff Kyle Pred's defining traits.
• Supreme Chef: Chef Zee's food is legendary in Los Santos, both at her diner and at Nanakaze's Restaurant.
• Surprisingly Realistic Outcome:
  • In a city running off of cartoon logic, where most people can take several rounds from an AK to the chest and walk away from it after going to Pillbox, it's pretty noticeable when someone actually does go to the ICU or permanently die from something that would be lethal in real life.
  • In one scenario, the police stage an operation in the Alta Street Apartment parking lot. Deputy Gold, brandishing her firearm, orders a civilian to leave the scene. When the civilian doesn't comply, freezes, and holds her hands up instead, Gold then shoots a bullet into the civilian's chest. Sheriff Pred immediately calls Gold out for doing this and orders her to go off duty for 24 hours.
• Switching P.O.V.: The great thing about watching NoPixel streams is that you can continue watching a story arc even after the character you were watching stops streaming — you just switch to another character and continue on.
• Talking Animal:
  • Subverted with Fenton and Bowser. Technically, they can't talk, but they each have special collars with soundbites of other officers, which they mostly use for simple communication and to say rude things.
  • Unity the Cat once threatened Peggy Piike in a deep, evil-sounding voice after Peggy tried to milk her.
• The Taxi: A common way for pre-4.0 citizens to make money is to drive a taxi, and the city's yellow pages are typically filled with taxi ads. Abdul's Taxi Service ("Don't be a fool, ride with Abdul!") and Rooster Cab Co. are the two of the most well-known taxi companies, but there are plenty of independent taxi drivers out there as well.
• Terror Hero: Sergeant Angel is known by criminals as "the Angel of Death" owing to her deadly accuracy in chases and shootouts. On more than one occasion, criminals have negotiated terrible terms for themselves to keep Angel out of a chase, or have simply given themselves up whenever they hear she's involved.
• Third-Person Person:
  • Bovice talks this way; a few characters have speculated it's because he wants to make sure his name is heard as much as possible.
  • Lenny Large also refers to himself in the third person.
• This Is for Emphasis, Bitch!: STATE POLICE, BITCH!
• Thoroughly Mistaken Identity: Eugene is usually pretty lucid, but he thinks every woman he meets is his ex-wife Edna.
• Token Good Teammate: Andi "Ant" Jones is this to the otherwise criminal-leaning HOA. She is one of the sweetest, kindest characters in the city, and has no criminal history. Because of her spot-free record, she is allowed to have a business license, so she runs the HOA's business interests.
• Took a Level in Badass: Brian Knight starts out as a completely hapless former mall cop with an obsession with burgers and ends up The Lancer to Sargeant Baas by the end of 2.0, helping him run the entire NA shift.
  • Toretti goes from being the butt of every joke within the police department, to being a head of personnel and training.
• Took a Level in Kindness:
  • With 3.0 wiping Angel's history clean, she became noticeably less bitter and vengeful, although she is still just as blunt as ever when annoyed.
  • Same thing with Lang Buddha. In 2.0 he likely would have killed Four Tee for disrespecting him, but in 3.0 he's considerably more avuncular, patient, and mellow.
• Trademark Favorite Food:
  • Gladys loves hot dogs.
  • Officer Brian Knight is obsessed with burgers.
  • As he tells everyone, James Randall likes going to Burger Shot and ordering "a Heartbreaker, with cream, extra cheese, no lettuce, with a side of French, extra salt."
• Tragic Keepsake: Hedi wears her late brother's headphones.
• The Tramp: Solomon Seerson is a kind homeless man who became a lawyer to help other downtrodden individuals.
• Transparent Closet: Whenever asked, Deputy Wrangler insists that he has frequent sex with women, despite not showing any attraction to women, and only showing blatantly obvious attraction to men (in particular, Lorenzo).
• Traumatic Haircut: During one incident at the prison, Department of Corrections officer Wynona Fontaine drags an immobilized Mia Mersion to the prison infirmary, slices off one of her pigtails, and pockets it as a prize.
• Trumplica:
  • Francis briefly disguised himself as Donald Trump in October 2020. He raged against "socialists," shot a ray gun at people he suspected of being "socialists," and eventually fled to Humane Labs and nuked Los Santos to rid it of the "socialists."
  • Ronald Rump, played by Knep.
  • Vivek Ramasquamy, played by Squeex.
• Tyrant Takes the Helm:
  • Subverted with Kyle Pred's promotion to Sheriff. Instead of acting irresponsible and abusing his power as he loudly bragged he would, Pred has mostly handled the power responsibly, much to the surprise of everyone.
  • Played straight when Denzel takes the mayorship. His policy changes give an advantage to criminal organizations at the expense of law enforcement, and Talon schemes to set him up as a dictator. This is even lampshaded when he sets up a pair of Iron Thrones in front of City Hall for a photo op.
• Understatement: Bozo says that the Hellgate in Happy's living room "isn't OSHA compliant at all."
• Unreliable Canon: It's still unclear if the change over from 2.0 to 3.0 was supposed to be a memory wipe or not. Additionally, some character choose to incorporate things that happened in 2.0 into their 3.0 backstories. As such, it's often not clear if certain events in 2.0 actually happened or not.
• Unwitting Instigator of Doom: After he tells her that she "hits like a girl," Lana Valentine karate chops Deputy Bodean Tucker in front of MRPD, downs him, and gloats about it, which is honestly pretty standard as far as NoPixel hijinks go. Except Tucker permanently dies from it.^note Lana's player Viviana is absolutely gobsmacked when she sees that he's permaing.
• Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: In general, this version of Los Santos is pretty wacky, with a surplus of friendly and/or humorous characters; criminals like Mel or Mike Block are typically Laughably Evil. However, characters like Bovice, Vivi, Mask, Jasper, and Norman can and do perform truly monstrous acts.
• Villainous Crush: Dee Mented stalked Mikey Dias for a little while. She later dropped the crush and vowed to kill him after he mocked her hatchets.
• Voice Clip Song: Someone took clips of Penta's fanficcy stories about Wrangler, Peachingle, and Crane, as well as a few clips of JennybearTV playing Peachingle and nathankb_ playing Crane, and made an EDM mix around them.
  Penta: This song...this song does not need to exist. [chuckles] This does not need to exist. This is not something—
  [continues playing song]
  Penta: I guess it does, though.
• Voices Are Mental:
  • Chips' voice stayed the same after his brain was put in a woman's body.
  • Cheddar's and Kraytor's voices stayed the same after the Lady of the Lake transformed them into women.
• We Hardly Knew Ye: Enforced whenever a player does a "permathon." The idea is to marathon a livestream while playing as one-off characters who are specifically designed to get permanently killed off.
• Weird Crossover: If you really think about it, having Carl Crimes, Ronald Rump, Beetlejuice, Diego, Tom Nook, Johnny Silverhand, Kratos, and Plankton all co-existing in the same universe — especially when that universe includes realistically monstrous characters like Jasper Saxon or Bovice Wilkinson — is pretty darn weird.
• Willing Suspension of Disbelief:
  • You pretty much have to accept that Death Is a Slap on the Wrist, but it's as easy as doing so for, say, Wile E. Coyote.
  • You also have to look past the game's graphical limitations. For instance, hugs look really awkward.
  • Along those same lines, if a character's animation set doesn't include a particular action, then the player can do a /me command, which can show a block of text superimposed over the character showing their intended current physical state.
• Yandere: Four Tee is an aromantic variation. She "loves" everyone on her friends list and is so seemingly whimsical to be disarming and endearing even to folks she's not friends with. However, she's also extraordinarily bonkers, doesn't have a concept of traditional love and romance, is obsessed with her friends to stalkerish extremes, will not hesitate to go full-tilt psycho to anyone who harms or slights her friends, and has murdered friends for "leaving" her.
• Year Inside, Hour Outside: Windsong notices that time passes more slowly inside the prison than out; she could be locked away for a few months and her friends will act like she's been gone for mere hours. To save her unborn child from being killed by "the Illuminati," she gets herself locked up for five months in order to expedite the remaining five months of her pregnancy and have her child sooner in "outside" time.^note This is a riff on the server mechanic for the prison. A character's sentence in "months" translates to real-world minutes; therefore, a five month sentence would actually be five minutes long.
• You Are Number 6: This is a major part of Four Tee's backstory. Before escaping to Los Santos, she spent her entire life isolated in what she calls "the black box," and frequently tells others that her keepers only ever called her "40." Upon escaping, and with no knowledge of her real name — if she even had one to begin with — she names herself after her number.
• You Are Worth Hell: Jasper Saxon uses this as an excuse for his serial killing, telling himself that when he finally dies, he'd be reunited with his dead older sister in Hell. However, it's ultimately a subversion. When he's finally killed, Jasper briefly hears his sister's voice in the afterlife, telling him that not only is she not in Hell, but that she knows he wasn't really doing it for her. He was hurting people because he enjoyed it.
• Your Brain Won't Be Much of a Meal: During the Christmas 2020 Zombie Apocalypse, all the local zombies completely ignore Mike Block.^note Likely due to a glitch in-game causing the NPC's to ignore him, but Penta just rolls with it. Mike himself can't understand why they're leaving him alone.
