In 2010, a full-length Fan Film by Eddie Lebron was released depicting the events of the first Mega Man game.
In the year 20XX, Nobel Prize winning roboticist Dr. Light unveils to the public his new DRN series of Robot Masters in a televised interview, designed for commercial use in hazardous environments for the betterment of mankind. Off-camera, he also reveals his robot daughter, Roll. Unfortunately, all is not well. Dr. Wily, colleague and equal partner of Dr. Light, has always been thirsty for recognition, which he never receives. After Wily is frustrated by being rebuffed by the interviewer, Dr. Light reveals his intent to build a new android son, and not to include Wily in its design. Already jealous of Light's successes, he sees this as Dr. Light's attempt to cut him out completely.
Enraged, he proceeds to come up with a plan to steal the Robot Masters and wreak havoc.
You know, like in the game.
Meanwhile, Dr. Light and Roll complete the new android, Rock, who is unsure of his purpose in life. During his soul searching, Dr. Wily steals the Robot Masters and sets them loose on the city. At that point, Rock realizes what his purpose is, and offers to to be converted into a war machine to stop Wily and the robot rampage.

- Always Someone Better: Dr. Wily's main motivation is getting overshadowed by Dr. Light. Constantly.
- Apologetic Attacker: "I don't want to resort to force!" ZAP ZAP ZAP ZAP
- Blatant Lies: Dr. Light insisting that the spectacularly deadly Robot Masters have plenty of non-destructive uses despite not coming up with a single one for the one that excretes bombs. note
- Canon Foreigner: The inhabitants of the city, and Wily's talking AI, Olga 5000.
- Chekhov's Gun: Several, including the teleportation system and how Blues had his own personal version installed, and the fact that there are two prototype armors that were both made for Blues but can work on Rock.
- Conservation of Ninjutsu: Mega Man vs. all six Robot Masters? He forces them to retreat. Mega Man vs. Elec Man? He almost dies.
- Continuity Porn: It references the original games, the instruction manuals, the Mega Man (Ruby-Spears) cartoon, and Mega Man Powered Up.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: The fights tend to be over with a quickness, one way or the other.
- Damsel in Distress: Roll after Dr. Wily takes her hostage.
- Darker and Edgier: Considerably more so than the games it is based on. This film is quite serious and dramatic, and has some rather dark and depressing moments. Not to mention the considerably brutal nature of some of the fights.
- Dull Surprise: Dr. Light and Mega Man's perpetual mood.
- Dying as Yourself: Blues would rather continue with a flawed core that could self-destruct at any moment, then have the flaw repaired, since that would also remove his free will.
- Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors: Dr. Light brings this up when Mega Man gets his first Robot Master power.
- 11th-Hour Superpower: In order to win the day, Mega Man is outfitted with a rapid teleporter and the Charge Buster from future games
- Evil Twin: Mega Man faces one, but
unlike the game, it doesn't put up much of a fight. - Family-Unfriendly Violence: As noted above, the battles in Mega Man are quite violent. Special mention goes to Ice Man's death (large smoking hole through the torso) and pretty much the entire fight against Elec Man, who electrocutes Mega and is killed by Blues punching his goddamned head clean off.
- Fan Film: It's not perfect, but it's one of the better ones.
- Freudian Excuse: Wily, as he put it, has had his genius ignored or misplaced. Never given a real chance to work on projects to make a name for himself.
- Gonk: Wily, with his constant sweating, forehead acne, and bad teeth.
- Golden Snitch: The Robot Master ruse was... a DISTRACTION. Wily HAS the floating death fortress. Pity Mega Man blew his stack on the minions.
- Headshots Kill Robots: Elec Man is destroyed by having his head punched off.
- Human Shield: The Copy Robot does this with Roll.
- I Just Want to Be Special: Mega Man pines for a purpose in life beyond being a scientific curiosity. What's this, a robot invasion? Good thing that plasma buster came in his size.
- It's Personal: Said when Wily kidnaps Roll.
- Just a Stupid Accent: Like his cartoon self, Wily has a German accent. Where he's from is never elaborated on.
- Outbursts like "What a schmuck!" also make him Ambiguously Jewish... or possibly just German, as Yiddish is a hybrid language that comes from German and Aramaic.
- Lampshade Hanging: At one point, Roll asks Rock if he thinks her hair looks fake. Rock almost says what every viewer is thinking but is saved by a timely news report.
- Lethal Chef: Roll's pancakes taste awful. Given Dr. Light's hesitancy to dig in, the rest of her cooking might not be any better.
- Manchild: Wily has moments of this, being very petty at times.Wily: MINE'S BETTER THAN YOURS IS!
- Motive Rant / "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Wily gives one to a captive Roll.Wily: No heart? You can thank that good doctor about that. I've wasted the best years of my life working on crap like you! Genius like mine should be used. Not ignored or hidden. All my life, I have be ignored, and shunned and teased! But now I have the upper hand! Oh, the little robot girl is crying. He must have given you that ability. I'm sure I would not have. In one hour, everything within a 20-mile radius will be leveled! And everyone will die; Dr. Light, Mega Man, and then I would have the satisfaction of killing you. And then all the world's leaders will bow to my whim! Or millions will die. (evil laugh) You know, I never liked you... your carefree attitude and all that nonsense. You have no purpose! You know why you were made? Because, Dr. Light's wife died. You think he's the only one who's ever lost something... or someone? You think he's the only one who knows pain!? You know nothing of my life and what I've wasted! I've never liked her, and I Never. Liked. You!
- Mythology Gag: Elec Man's and the Yellow Devil's thrashing of Mega Man is likely a nod to their statuses as That One Boss.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: When you get down to it, Dr. Light is largely responsible for Dr. Wily's Face–Heel Turn. Up until Light fires Wily, the only thing Wily was really guilty of (at least as far as the audience is concerned) was vanity, simply wanting more recognition for the work he does. Dr. Light unceremoniously sacks his long-time companion and confidant upon revealing he wants to make another android, and Wily quite understandably becomes upset by this. He does, however, realize this was a mistake, and regrets it.Light: I can't help but feel liable for this... Did I make Wily snap?
- Nintendo Hard: Rock plays the notoriously difficult Contra (and loses).
- No Endor Holocaust:
- Mega Man blew up Wily's floating castle over the city. There appeared to be no collateral damage.
- No one seems to fear the attacks from the robots. Everyone seems rather calm. True, it's not like they could hire a bunch of extras to run around pretending to get shot at by robots, but traffic just sort of flows around Bomb Man and Guts Man almost like they weren't there.
- Off-the-Shelf FX: Mega Man and the more human Robot Masters are armored up with motorcycle pads and helmets.
- Orcus on His Throne: The Robot Masters seem rather content to stand around shooting their weapons at their surroundings without actually hitting anything or anyone. Justified, but you'd think they'd be a little more aggressive about it, Fire Man in particular.
- Posthumous Character: Ayaka Light, the good doctor's wife.
- Precision F-Strike: Wily gets a few.
- Dr. Light, of all people, gets a great one. He NEVER swears, so when he says "Wily, you bastard", you KNOW that shit is gonna go down hard.
- Dr. Wily's polite-to-the-point-of-sycophancy A.I. OLGA 5000 calls him an asshole after he abandons her.
- Protagonist Title
- Replacement Goldfish: There is an uncomfortable question hanging in the air about whether or not Rock and Roll were meant to replace Light's biological children, who died along with their mother before they were born.
- There's also the implication that Roll may be the replacement for Light's wife while Rock and Blues are the twins. Wily explicitly tells Roll that she was made because Dr. Light's wife died, with no mention that she had been pregnant.
- The motivations are likely a nod to Mega Man's source material.
- Ridiculously Human Robots: Mega Man and co. seem more like Reploids, as they have senses of pain, taste, etc. But not "free will" apparently...even though there really isn't any visible difference between Rock and Blues' behaviour.
- Fridge Logic kicks in, though, when you realize Rock and Blues act similiar because Rock isn't given any programmed purpose, and was built by Dr. Light to "live" any way he wants. He only mimics free will but could probably easily have it taken away if someone hacked into his brain. Also, during his first moments, he's constantly trying to find what he was built for or his "purpose"; he's trying to find his programming so he can execute it, just like a real robot.

- Ring-Ring-CRUNCH!: Rock punches out a special, pyramidal alarm clock the first day he wakes up.
- Roger Rabbit Effect: Even though the film is live action, 3 of the robot masters (Cut Man, Guts Man, and Bomb Man) are computer generated, as well as the Yellow Devil and Dr. Wily's floating castle.
- Rule of Cool: Skull Castle's solar-powered laser-shooting satellite dish.
- Sequel Hook: The last shot is oddly similar to the intro of Mega Man 2, and they've shown interest in making a sequel.
- Shout-Out: To The Protomen, with Sniper Joes being described as the first androids Light and Wily created.
- Not to mention, Dr.Light''s dead wife. *cough cough Emily Stanton cough cough*
- At least half of the robot masters have their silly personality quirks from Mega Man Powered Up. Ice Man's split personality, Fire Man's rants about justice, and Cut Man's belief that Mega Man is the real bad robot.
- And Elec Man's arrogance is very similar to another version of Elec Man. The director/writer/etc. has said he was a fan of Bob and George, so this isn't too far-fetched.
- Light and Rock's first conversation ("Are you my father?" "In a sense.") is taken from the cartoon.
- Ice Man uses a "frost slide" to get around like a certain other Iceman.
- Rock plays Contra (released the same year as the original Mega Man game) and loses badly.
- Dr. Light's computer has a picture of Solid Snake drawn in the Metal Gear Awesome style.
- For about three seconds, the robot select screen from the first game can be seen on a TV. This also is how Rock chooses who to go after first.
- Stealth Pun: The first thing Wily says when Mega Man appears is, "What in the blue hell?"
- Teleport Spam: Near the end of the movie, the teleporter is straight up abused in combat.
- The Worf Effect: Elec Man and the Yellow Devil both thrash Mega Man, and Blues shows up and one-shots them.
- Later, Wily's floating death fortress can't land a hit on Mega Man despite Wily bragging about it earlier.
- Villainous Breakdown: Dr. Wily, after going to his knees to plead mercy."I never win!"
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Mega Man is never actually shown dealing with the Sniper Joes. After their initial mention, they are never brought up again.
- Writer's Block: Dr. Wily takes a long time to come up with a revenge scheme at first.
