Matt's mind is an in-character playthrough of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas by Brony and movie reviewer Headhunter Productions directly inspired by Freeman's Mind. It follows the misadventures of the overly sarcastic Matt and his talking pip-boy arbitrarily named Mike. Depicting Matts raise from borderline Villain Protagonist only out to kill his father to the kind of hero willing to sacrifice himself to start up Project Purity.
The first two seasons (made up of Fallout 3 and its expansions) ended in 2017. With the first episode of the third season being released in late 2019 and begins Matt's adventure through the Mojave Wasteland.
Tropes that apply to Matt's Mind.
- Berserk Button: Matts very protective of his "godlike hair" and it being cut was enough to make him scream so loud he could hear it SEVERAL YEARS in the future, on the other side of the country, in a different game.
- Broken Pedestal: The brotherhood of steel becomes one to Matt after the events of Fallout 3, leading him to abandon it in favor of moving to the west coast.
- Brown Note: Played for Laughs with their "secret weapon"
- Call-Forward: See Berserk Button above.
- Despair Event Horizon: Matt falls into one after his father dies.
- Friendly Sniper: Matt becomes one after both his Character Development and him starting to use the gauss rifle.
- Heroic Sacrifice: to start Project Purity.
- I Call It "Vera": Matt has named quite a few of his guns. Such as Goby, Gobbers, and M.O.R.E.C.E.E.S.E.
- Inside a Computer System: Twice, once in the outcasts military VR training system and again in Vault 112.
- Noodle Incident: Don't disrespect the bucket. Just don't.
- Orbital Bombardment: Matt accidentally uses one aboard Zeta, hitting somewhere around Canada.
- Self-Made Orphan: Was Matt's primary goal at the start before his character development kicked in.
- Snarky Non-Human Sidekick: Mike is quite capable of giving just as much as he takes.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: Matt and Mike become this over the first session.
- Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Even if it means leaving people in slavery.
