"Hello, motherf*ckers!"

Kson On Air is an American-born, Japan-based bilingual streamer, cosplayer, and Vtuber who debuted on Nico Nico Douga in 2018 before migrating to Youtube. Among Japanese streamers, she is known for her "gap moe" appeal: she may look like a Yamato Nadeshiko, but she is a foul-mouthed Cosplay Otaku Genki Girl par excellence who streams both on webcam and with virtual avatars.

Her YouTube channel can be found here, and her Twitch channel here.

On July 2, 2022, during Anime Expo 2022, VShojo announced the addition of Kson to their newly-created Japan division, alongside Nazuna Amemiya, with a lore video written by Merryweather Media. Her official debut under this group took place two weeks later on the 16th.

Tropes:

  • Affectionate Nickname: Daimonji Ryugon calls her Anego.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Her father, "Papason", has a history of making reckless posts on social media to the point that his family eventually forced him to delete his accounts in front of them. This, however, didn't prevent him from creating sock-puppet accounts and using them to wreak havoc, at one point going on a rampage after getting scammed by an internet company. It got so bad that the head of VShojoJP had to intervene; Kson then dedicated a stream to address the issue and to inform her audience that effective immediately "Papason" is permanently banned from using social media of any kind!
  • Appearance Angst: She is very self-conscious about her shoulders, a trait that became exacerbated after passing the "Like A Dragon" Hostess audition.
  • Arc Number: 893, which can be read in Japanese numerical phonetics as "Yakuza".
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Of the vigilante-esque activities we are shown, Kson is shown punching a cheating boyfriend in the face, locking deadbeat parents into a chokehold, and chatting over a cup of tea with parents with impossibly high expectations for their kids, but are otherwise well-meaning.
  • Art Evolution: On October 16, 2021, Kson "re-debuted" with a new Live2D model, giving her a strikingly different look and outfit from her previous 3D model.
  • Bitch Slap: When they were on vacation, she slapped her best friend and housemate Nozomu in an attempt to wake her up, but Nozomu wasn't fazed in the slightest due to being a Heavy Sleeper.
  • Bully Hunter: When she joined VShojo a lore video was released that showed that when she was younger, Kson was an Ordinary Highschool Student who aspired to be like the delinquents she saw hanging out outside the local convenience store. When she achieved her dream, she decided to do good, helping a friend by beating up a cheating ex and doing the same to another friend's deadbeat parents. She only resorts to violence when necessary though, as she dealt with a third friend's parents who were overworking her by having a nice friendly chat over a cup of tea instead because they genuinely want what's best for her.
  • Cosplay Otaku Girl: She dabs at cosplay and, at times, will dress up as characters from games she streams, including 2B, Bayonetta and Tifa Lockhart.
  • Eagleland: Her Meme Reviews showcase some of the most hilarious instances (in the case of Florida Man sections, actual news) of this stereotype.
  • Fangirl:
    • Kson is a very high-profile fan of the Like a Dragon series, even calling Kazuma her "husband" or "boyfriend".
    • Kson has also gone on record saying that Kiryu Coco is her favorite VTuber.
  • Epic Fail: She once failed her own romance minigame. She failed to seduce herself.
  • Friendly Neighborhood Gangster: She was a high school student who formed a delinquent group with some friends and sought to do good, only giving the beating of a lifetime to those who deserve it, like cheating exes and deadbeat parents. Otherwise, she simply has a friendly chat.
  • For Halloween, I Am Going as Myself: Inverted and played straight with both her Daikou (3D) and Souchou (Live2D) avatars. Daikou's outfit is a digital replica, or as close as possible using vKatsu's base assets, of an outfit that KSon has personally sewn and worn both on stream and in cosplay events. She's also sewn and worn a real-life version of her Souchou avatar's costume.
  • Hates Being Alone: Apparently gets lonely very easily. She was a bit upset about watching her friends grow up to live normal lives, leaving her the sole member of her gang.
  • Hide the Evidence: When she killed CDawgVA in Minecraft, she managed to hide the evidence by simply tricking the rest of VShojo that it was he who killed her and not the other way around.
  • Ink-Suit Actor:
    • Unlike many VTubers, her avatars are direct caricatures of her real appearance. This was more pronounced with her Daikou 3D avatar, whose outfit is a digital replica, or as close as possible using vKatsu's base assets, of an outfit that KSon personally designed, sewn, and worn both on stream and in cosplay events.
    • Played straight in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where she plays the character who works in the game's karaoke bar and is directly modeled on her appearance.
  • Japanese Delinquents: Her Souchou avatar (shown on the page image) borrows heavily from yankee aesthetics, with dyed hair, a flashy jacket that is kept open, and a Sarashi to preserve her modesty.
  • The Lad-ette: Has no problems looking very rambunctious on stream, alongside Rika and Guutara. And from Rika's words, this is them without drinking any alcohol.
  • Lady Swears-a-Lot: She has a massive penchant for profanity.
  • Last of Her Kind: After watching her fellow delinquents grow up and move on with their lives, she is the sole member of her gang left.
  • Leg Focus: Her pajama outfit has short shorts that show off her bare legs and feet.
  • Medium Blending: Her occasional "2.5D streams" feature her VTuber avatar's head juxtaposed over live webcam footage.
