Hallowed Worldly is a YouTube channel which features a variety of (very) short films. The central series is shot from the perspective of a wizard named Hallowed Worldly, who presents the videos to the viewer as records of his own real-life magical activities.

The central series contains examples of:

  • Found Footage Films: How the videos are presented.
  • Masquerade: The protagonist alludes to forces which would really rather he not tell the viewer about the supernatural.
  • Advertisement:
  • Our Goblins Are Different: They can impersonate normal humans quite convincingly, and at least some of them live among us. They belong to some sort of nebulous supernatural hierarchy, and are subject to magically-enforced rules which are not clear to the viewer.
  • Shaky Cam: The protagonist is filming the videos while participating in them, and that leads to some shaking.
  • Urban Fantasy: The setting is exactly like our world, apart from the existence of magic. Actually, Hallowed Worldly would have you believe that the setting is our world, and that magic is real in it.

Other videos on the channel contain examples of:

  • Horror: In Gary, My Possession.
  • Never Trust a Trailer: There's a trailer for Godzilla vs X-Men, a totally non-existent movie.
  • Voodoo Doll: Gary, My Possession, is a first-person account of someone using a voodoo doll.
