CraftedMovie is a YouTube channel dedicated to Minecraft skits. Their style is centered around Silence Is Golden, with their Minecraft avatars communicating via mime or images.

Their videos aren't linked by any sort of real continuity, aside from a Minimalist Cast: Salted, the wide-eyed cow; BouledeNeige, the person with colors all over him; Grian, the guy with a Link skin; Qcblastar, a camera in a suit; and Bluesbreakers, a sheep.

The videos are still on the channel, though none have been published since 2015. However, the crew working on it aren't inactive: most of them have moved onto creating Wynncraft. Their set builder Grian has also notably moved on to play on Hermitcraft.

CraftedMovie provides examples of:

  • Actor Allusion: Various to the pirate team of "Misadventure on the Sea":
    • Kurtjmac's pet dog Wolfie shows up and follows him for most of the series.
    • Slamacow Creations is introduced with their zombie character Dave following. Later, they call upon their Enderman character Bart to help open access to a switch.
    • Bashur's The Legend of Hobo series is referenced when Bashur is running through the jungle and the underbrush gets set alight, complete with the Burning Bush announcing its name.
    • When Sethbling builds the team a new boat, he introduces it in the same way that he introduces his various Minecraft redstone/command block inventions. Also, he and FVDisco are The Smart Guys of the team, referencing both their redstone-working skills.
  • Aliens Steal Cattle: "Aliens!" concerns a giant cow-abducting UFO. Cow-person Salted is used as The Bait, naturally.
  • Ash Face: One of the Running Gags is that something explodes and Salted's face gets covered in soot.
  • Captain Obvious: While left to guard the boat during "Misadventure on the Sea", MsBreezy and Slamacow Creations see Peppered, who was thought to have been killed, entering the skull island's eye. They rush through the cave leading to the treasure room, setting off all the traps in the process, and tell the main group... who have just encountered Peppered and are standing in the same room as him. Cue an unimpressed glare from Salted.
  • Coincidental Dodge: "The unluckiest man in Minecraft" opens with Boule unknowingly running past a bunch of flying projectiles, traps, and explosions. Said explosions cause property damage, getting a bounty put on his head and a mob chasing after him, which he walks away from none the wiser.
  • Cool, but Inefficient:
    • In "The gravel", Salted has an Imagine Spot where he uses a piston machine and an entire quarry of Endermen to pick up all the gravel and Hurl It into the Sun. Boule provides a much more reasonable solution in using a torch to break the gravel column.
    • In "OUT OF HAND", Salted and Boule accidentally throw a ball up onto a tree where they can't get it back. Instead of getting a ladder or cutting down the tree, they spend two weeks building a massive robot to retrieve it for them.
  • Cowboy Episode: "Western Creeper" and "Western Creeper 2" are centered around, well, a Creeper in the Wild West.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Earlier videos broke Silence Is Golden more often.
  • Evil Counterpart: A Mooshroom in a suit named Peppered (as opposed to Salted, the cow) will appear whenever the plot requires a villain.
  • Funny Background Event: In "Mario Kart in Minecraft", when the racers get to the top of DK Mountain via Human Cannonball, one of them can be seen overshooting the landing area and falling right into the volcano.
  • Gone Horribly Right: In "OUT OF HAND", Salted and Boule build a giant robot to get their ball out of a tree. The robot retrieves their ball, then starts retrieving absolutely anything and everything in sight. Dropping trees on them, upturning houses, grabbing a mountain and shaking boulders out of it, and even pulling the moon out of orbit just for them.
  • Grave Humor:
  • Heavy Sleeper: "15 ways to wake up" presents multiple ways to fail at waking up, from simply not wanting to wake up to failing to wake up during a house fire or a "reverse flood" happening.
  • Heist Episode: "The infiltration", in which the gang gets into Peppered's party to steal his most prized treasure: a single diamond hoe.
  • Hypocritical Humor: The punchline of "The Turbo Ultra Paint Pack 2000!": Salted tells Boule that his resource pack sucks, since it just blatantly turns everything to Boule's skin. Salted then takes his turn to present his own idea, which is a resource pack that turns every texture to a variant of his face.
  • In the Style of:
    • "The unluckiest man in Minecraft" is a Minecraft machinima in the style of an old-timey film, complete with greyscale color filter, title card text to replace dialogue, and everything being slightly sped up compared to the actual capture source.
    • "How to make an Its Jerry And Harry video" breaks their Silence Is Golden rule to borrow the style of having on-screen dialogue.
  • Letting the Air out of the Band: In "The tragedy of HappyCity", whenever someone dies, the ukelele song pauses, then resumes after.
  • Meaningful Background Event: In "Spawn protection", Kurtjmac appears in the last scene, punching the air in reaction to something. Knowledge of his most famous series foreshadows the punchline that Grian had to reach the Far Lands before he could find a place he could build.
  • Mid-Battle Tea Break: In "What does the inside of a chest look like?", Boule pushes Salted into a chest, then causes all sorts of chaos dropping anvils and lava into it. In the midst of the frantic scene, cue brief pause as Salted plays a game of poker with all the item people.
  • Naked People Are Funny: One of the recurring extras is Marke002, whose skin is a naked person. This gets him into all kinds of shenanigans, like in "Ten ways to get banned" where his skin immediately causes him to get banned from a Minecraft server moments after joining.
  • Pirate Episode: "Misadventure on the Sea" is a three-part episode where Salted, Boule, and numerous other Minecraft Youtubers go on a seafaring adventure in search of treasure.
  • Pokémon Speak: The item people in "What does the inside of a chest look like?" just repeat their item's name over and over again.
  • Rube Goldberg Device: The "How to close a door with style" series uses Rube Goldberg machines to open and close doors.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: In "Never waste your diamonds on a hoe", Salted braves an entire overdramatic action sequence where he tries to run up to Boule and stop him before he wastes his diamonds on a hoe. By the time he gets there, Boule already crafted it.
  • Shoot the Shaggy Dog Story:
    • "The tragedy of HappyCity": Everyone dies and there are no survivors.
    • "The Enderpearls": Grian throws Ender Pearls in every direction to try and escape a Creeper. The last one to fall ends him right where he started, in its blast radius.
    • "The Lag": Salted finally leaves his house when an Enderman luckily removes one of the blocks. A TNT setup he built earlier finally detonates, destroying his house and causing his client to crash.
    • "The Ocean": Salted finally gets off the deserted island. The pumpkin betrays him for no reason, killing him and causing him to respawn back at the island.
    • "Home improvement battle": Grian and Boule get into a face-off to see who builds the best house. A lightning storm sets both their houses ablaze, and they take shelter in Salted's dirt hut from the rain.
    • "Twitch Plays Minecraft": The Ender Dragon kills the player.
    • "THE OUTBREAK": Salted's slaughterhouse breakout succeeds. But the cow he broke out is reduced to a steak by the exploding slaughterhouse.
    • "OUT OF HAND": Salted and Boule build a giant robot to get their ball out of a tree. The robot then promptly causes a spree of destruction in their village, but at least it got their ball back. And then they promptly lose it back into the tree at the end once more.
  • Skewed Priorities: In "Misadventure on the Sea", the gang gets into ship-to-ship combat with Peppered's boat. Cannons are going off, arrows are flying, the boat's exploding... and MsBreezy, who was assigned to cleaning duty earlier in the video, is frantically sweeping the deck with a sponge.
"Seriously guys, stop making a mess!"
  • Sleep Deprivation: Salted can't catch a break in "15 ways to wake up". Whether it's because his neighbors are throwing a party, someone's cutting their lawn at 3 AM, or "fucking dogs", he just lies in bed with a comically angry expression and eyes just as wide as they always are.
  • Special Guest: "Misadventure on the Sea" features various other Minecraft YouTube creators: Sethbling, Slamacow Creations, Bashur, FVDisco, MsBreezy (back when she was known as kuledud3), and Kurtjmac.
  • Stylistic Suck: The "turbo ultra paint pack 2000", a resource pack that turns every texture into a mess of colors a-la BouledeNeige's face, immediately reducing the Minecraft world to nonsense.
  • Take That, Audience!: "The Ban Appeal Court", which mocks some of the more rambunctious ban appeals that CraftedMovie has dealt with when moderating their official server.
  • Teleporter Accident: "The Enderpearls", in which Grian spams Ender Pearls in every direction to escape a Creeper. What ensues is him accidentally teleporting all over the place, warping into people's bathrooms as they're showering, falling into lava, and landing in a witch's cauldron, among other things
  • Tempting Fate: In the pirate story "Misadventure on the Sea":
Bashur: I really hope the treasure island isn't some sort of Cliché skull island.
    [Beat]
[Cut to panning camera shot of skull island]
  • X Days Since: "How to close a door with style again?" features the town of Happycity: "No doors closed since 1958". A redstone line threatening to close all the doors in the city gets treated as Serious Business.
