"The end is near and I feel fine."

"You know what bothers me about heroes? No matter how many times they get beaten up, they get up and just keep walking."
Cassandra

Corona's Weirdmageddon is a fanmade crossover project made by YouTubers Skymation2415 Productions and The Mizfit Monstar Apperentice, which features many characters from animated movies and cartoons. The story involves Bill Cipher who teams up with various villains from My Little Pony, Tangled, Kung Fu Panda, Angry Birds, The Penguins of Madagascar and many, many others, to create a new Weirdmageddon on Corona. So it's up to the Adventure Teams to stop Bill Cipher and the other villains.

Takes place during the events of season nine of Friendship is Magic and season two of Tangled: the Series.

Tropes in Corona's Weirdmageddon:

  • Action Girl: With the exception of Rarity and Fluttershy, pretty much all of the main female cast members fall under this.
  • Approval of God: Ralphie the Mizfitz King praised "Mizftiz to the Rescue" in the comment section of the video.
  • Art Shift: Unintentional. Due to the recycled and repurposed footage, characters like Spongebob, Patrick, Rapunzel, and Eugene will constantly switch from their televised, hand-drawn appearances to their big-budget, computer-animated ones.
  • Big Bad: Bill Cipher, the one-eyed beast who knows and sees all.
  • Big "NO!": SpongeBob’s reaction when Cassandra boasts she will kill Twilight first.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Ironically, the anti-heroic Mizfitz, when they rescue Team SpongeTwi from the Villains.
  • The Big Damn Kiss: Between Ralphie the Mizfit King and Queen Elsa.
  • Big Fun: Manny, Julian, Patrick, Leonard, Po, and Homer Simpson.
  • Chase Scene: Two major sequences are dedicated solely to Team SpongeTwi running away from or escaping Cassandra.
  • Creator's Favorite: Given how dominant SpongeBob and Twilight Sparkle are in not only this particular series, but Skymation’s ENTIRE channel, it is no secret that they are his flagship characters.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Cassandra, albeit with the temporary aid of Venom and some Equestria Girl villains, demolishes Team SpongeTwi in their first bout. All while singing.
  • Deal with the Devil: This time, Cassandra makes a deal with Bill Cipher, after finding out that she's the daughter of Gothel.
  • Didn't See That Coming: Deadpool says this after kicking Cass to the ground in "Miztfitz to the Rescue".
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Cozy Glow admits that Cassandra's backstory was terrible.
  • Eye Scream: SpongeBob accidentally blows bubbles into Cass’ eyes a la Dennis in his first movie, complete with her shouting “MY EYES!”
  • Fantastic Racism: Manny’s entire character arc, not liking the pairing of SpongeBob and Twilight, with everybody quite bluntly calling him racist for it.
  • Fat Comic Relief: Patrick Star, of course.
  • Go-Karting with Bowser: "Adventure is a Wonderful Thing” has Simba point out how odd it is that he is a part of the Mizfitz, a morally-gray team that also has Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed as members.
  • In Memoriam: Skylar gives one to the then-recently shuttered Blue Sky Studios in the intro to "Adventure is a Wonderful Thing"
  • Instrumental Theme Tune: Every episode of the series uses the instrumental version of the SpongeBob SquarePants intro, with the exception of the last two episodes of Act 3, which uses the DreamWorks Animation opening theme instead.
  • Interspecies Romance: A major plot point and point of contention in-universe, particularly with SpongeBob, a sea sponge, and Twilight Sparkle, an alicorn. The same goes for the far more canon Fluttershy and Discord. Sid the Sloth also lists famous interspecies couples, ranging from Star-Lord and Gamora to... Ariel and Mushu.
  • It Was a Dark and Stormy Night: said verbatim by Sid the Sloth in his Scared Shrekless-inspired recollection of how he and Diego were brutally slain by Bakugo during his genocide.
  • Just in Time: The central trope of “Mizfitz to The Rescue” with a specific instance having Tigger saving Homer Simpson from having his chi stolen by Kai the Collector.
  • Jukebox Musical: Has a boatload of songs (every single SEGMENT is a song) from other movies, musicals, and television shows.
  • Massive Multiplayer Crossover: The entire appeal of the series. Very much in the vein of those Pooh's Adventures-style series that add just about any show the creator likes, the series mentions or features characters and recycles footage from:

  • Mistaken for Gay: In "Bring Back a Legend", the villains think that Bill has a crush on Grogar (who is actually Discord in disguise) which isn't true. "Mizfitz to the Rescue" also has Pinkie Pie intentionally tease Leonard and Dave as this after they compliment each other.
  • Mood Whiplash: A lot of the Jukebox Musical songs are from children's shows and have the same elements... quickly followed by a vulgar joke.
  • Mr. Exposition: After the whole argument in "Trapped in the Trash Pit!!", Spongebob goes to Twilight, and in a moment of bonding, dumps an unseen moment involving Katsuki Bakugo from My Hero Academia committing genocide.
  • Non Sequitur: Every episode opens with a short, comedic skit completely unrelated to the episode's contents.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Skylar Jones is the only one without an original video or animated source, so he is often depicted as a still frame or still image.
  • Obligatory Swearing: Despite the characters being from family-oriented media, adult language is frequent, as noted by the R-rating slapped onto it.
  • Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure: “Trapped in the Trash Pit!!” has the cast blaming each other for all the troubles, each reason stupider than the other, and parting separate ways. SpongeBob convinces them to make amends in the "Wonderful" musical number.
  • Real Song Theme Tune: As a jukebox musical, it also features copyrighted tunes from non-specific, non-Broadway media:
    • "Adventure is A Wonderful Thing" features Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise" in lieu of the opening theme.
    • "Lost in the Woods” opens with Norman Greenbaum’s “Spirit in the Sky”.
    • "Cassandra is a Bih” features Queen's “Killer Queen” in its action sequence.
    • "Casspool" features The Proclaimer's "I'm on My Way" in a traveling montage, as a tribute to Shrek.
    • "Under Pressure" features DJ Snake and Lil Jon's "Turn It Down For What" and the famous Queen/David Bowie collaboration as its title and non-diegetic, final battle number.
    • The Official Red Band Trailer prominently features "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" by R.E.M and the Detective Pikachu remix of Bonnie Tyler’s “I Need A Hero”
  • Reference Overdosed: There are barely any original jokes, there's stuff regarding PONY.MOV of all things.
  • Roger Rabbit Effect: A very simplified version, using live-action variants and stock footage of Skylar, Ralphie, Spider-Man, and Deadpool that contrasts heavily with the predominately cartoonish world and characters.
  • Staircase Tumble: occurs to Homer Simpson mid-Badass Boast to Kai, Yzma, and Randall Boggs in "Mizfitz to the Rescue".
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Manny gives a big one to Fluttershy about Discord, much to her dismay.
  • That Reminds Me of a Song: Every couple of minutes there is a song that varies in relevance, mostly being Filler.
  • The Cameo:
    • "Fun, Fun, Fun" has Boomer the Blue Bear from Wonder Park appear when Rainbow Dash calls Diego a boomer.
    • "Casspool" has Venom, particularly the Sony version, appear to assist Cassandra, in place of Spider-Man from the original Deadpool Musical “Gaston” parody.
    • "Better Than You" has Elric from Smile PreCure! appear as Bakugo's Forced Transformation into the Ultimate Killing Machine via Dave's medusa sereum.
  • The Dragon: Cassandra, due to their deal and her being the only one Bill actually trusts.
  • Unintentional Period Piece: Due to being released around the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are several mentions of said virus, including it occuring in-universe.
  • Villain Song: The Mizfitz sing "Macavity" from Cats to Team SpongeTwi to properly explain their true chaotic neutral alignment.
  • Vulgar Humor: In-spades. In "Trapped in the Trash Pit!!", the group is trying to get out of the trash pit, and Fluttershy mistakenly hears "knotting" as "nutting" in a way that seems forced.
  • Word of God: In a video titled “Allies of the Mizfit Guardians”, Skylar confirmed:
    • Ellie, Ember Lumen, Wade Ripple, Donkey Kong, Shrek, Donkey, Puss in Boots, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Po, Mordecai and Rigby will join Team SpongeTwi in a later act.
    • Cassandra will receive a massive redemption arc.
    • The Mitchell Family has formed their own team with Kyoka Jiro of My Hero Academia.
    • A "rebel-themed" trio consisting of Valentino from Wish, Nimona from her self-titled film, and Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk from the Spider-Verse films.
