BUTCHY KID VIDEOS (Web Video)
"What the hell?! A Bigfoot?!"

BUTCHY KID VIDEOS (born November 2, 1955) is a YouTube comedy channel that specializes in parodies of supernatural encounter videos. They started their channel in 2006 and are still running.

Most of their videos follow a specific formula: A cameraman with a distinct, raspy voice discovers a cryptid or other monster (clearly a person in a costume) and has an incredulous reaction. The monster does something silly or unscary, like stealing a vehicle. The cameraman shouts at the monster, who flips him the bird. The monster either runs away or attacks the cameraman.

You can find their channel HERE.

This channel's videos contain examples of:

  • Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: Bigfoot and its relatives are the most common types of monsters in their videos.
  • Brooklyn Rage: The cameraman seems to have a strong Brooklyn accent, and he's constantly getting angry at the monsters when they mess with his property. He sometimes attempts to confront or fight them, but he always fails. Downplayed in that he lives in a rural area by a forest (it's unclear where, exactly.)
  • Butt-Monkey:
    • The cameraman gets harassed by the featured monster quite a lot.
    • The monsters themselves don't really fare much either, from the ghost always falling down stairs, or a bigfoot being subjected to physical harm in some capacity.
  • Cassandra Truth: Implied. In "SHOCKING YETI ENCOUNTER CAUGHT ON TAPE," the yeti steals the cameraman's pickup truck. The cameraman complains that his insurance won't cover it, presumably because they'll never believe him.
Cameraman: I just got carjacked by a freaking yeti! My liability insurance ain't gonna cover THIS shit!
  • Catchphrase: The cameraman has several:
    • "Holy shit! It's a [X]!" when spotting the titular monster.
    • "P.U!" when smelling something awful.
    • "Son of a bitch!", though occasionally bitch would be swapped out for a different word.
    • "I gotta get the hell outta here!" when he, well, needs to get out of the scene.
  • Clickbait Gag: All of their video titles are in All Caps, with titles like "SHOCKING YETI ENCOUNTER CAUGHT ON TAPE" and "WORLD'S MOST UNBELIEVABLE PARANORMAL VIDEOS" which make it seem like the videos are purportedly showing real supernatural encounters. As it turns out, all the videos are about people in obviously fake monster costumes doing silly things.
  • Flipping the Bird: The monsters flip the bird at the cameraman every time they're angry or defiant towards him.
  • Gasshole: When the ghost farts, it's super loud, visibly gassy, and horrendously pungent.
  • Large Ham: The cameraman is very entertaining with his dramatic reactions to seeing the monsters.
  • Long-Runners: The channel has been uploading videos fairly consistently since 2006.
  • Minor Injury Overreaction: In "SHOCKING YETI ENCOUNTER CAUGHT ON TAPE," the yeti throws a snowball at the cameraman. The cameraman reacts as if he'd been shot.
    Cameraman: SHIT! I'm hit!
  • Monster Clown: Played for Laughs. In "SCARY KILLER CLOWN ATTACK CAUGHT ON TAPE," the cameraman sees three clowns in scary masks standing in his yard. They're practicing a juggling routine and doing poorly at it. The cameraman goes outside and mocks them for being bad at clowning. The clowns get pissed off and throw their juggling balls and pins at him. One clown suffocates him with a large, inflatable ball.
  • Negative Continuity: The videos don't seem to have an ongoing continuity, considering that the cameraman is constantly shocked by seeing monsters, even ones he has seen in previous videos, and some videos seem to end with him dying, only for him to be back in the next video.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Most of the monsters are portrayed by people in costumes, but the "giant spiders" seen in a few videos are Halloween props on strings.
  • The Peeping Tom: "SEXUAL PREDATOR CAUGHT ON TAPE" has the cameraman spy on his neighbor's daughter at the pool, only to find a bigfoot doing the same thing.
  • Rhymes on a Dime: The cameraman frequently incorporates rhymes into his dialogue.
  • Scary Scarecrows: Played for Laughs. In "THE SCARIEST SCARECROW EVER MADE," the cameraman realizes that the scarecrow he put in his vegetable garden is eating his vegetables, so he goes outside to confront the scarecrow. After he insults the scarecrow, the scarecrow gets mad and starts beating him with a zucchini.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: The cameraman loves shouting profanities whenever he's surprised or pissed off.
  • Staircase Tumble: Nearly every ghost video will involve them falling down a set of stairs.
  • Toilet Humor: Some episodes involve a ghost farting very loudly, a bigfoot using the toilet and not flushing, etc.
  • Vulgar Humor: These videos thrive on vulgar comedy. Many of them include things like constant swearing, sex jokes, and middle fingers.
