Blood and Chaos is a Minecraft Let's Play series by the Yogscast.
A continuation from the Chaosville server's Solutions in Chaos. Reunited after their separation as the end of the prior series, Parvis talks a reluctant William Strife into teaching him blood magic after Martyn bluntly refuses to even touch the stuff in Heroes of Mine.
Blood and Chaos contains examples of:
- Big Secret: Parv hiding his Blood Magic training from Martyn.
- Black Magic: This is generally what Blood Magic is considered.
- Dark Is Evil: This is the general stance of the server on Blood Magic Martyn outright vetoes doing in in his own series with Parv, hence, leading Parv to asking Will instead. (Partially justified, since it usually involves sacrificing living mobs in order to power up altars however this is not a required component and you can get away with using animals or your own blood).
- Dark Secret: Will's apparent past in blood magic. "College was a weird time."'
- Even Evil Has Standards: While not strictly 'evil', per se, ruthless businessman Strife seems to draw the line at Blood Magic and is obviously only going along with it because Parv's involved.
- It Amused Me: Parv's basic reason for doing anything, Blood Magic included, is that he wants to cause as much chaos as possible.
- Morality Chain: This is probably half the reason Will agrees to teach Parv Blood Magic: Parv using it unsupervised is potentially disastrous.
- Mysterious Past: Strife was involved in Blood Magic while at college and isn't keen to be back into it.
- Noodle Incident: The holy hand grenade adventure, at least for those who don't watch Parv's streams on Twitch.
- Order Versus Chaos: Basically the working formula for anything Will (Order) and Parv (Chaos) star in together.
- Out-of-Character Moment:
- Will has one at the end of episode three culminating in him having a complete Freak Out and trying to attack Parv before bolting out of the base.
- He does it again at the end of episode twenty one when he finds a Staff of Teleportation.
- You Can't Fight Fate: Parv is pretty convinced this is why he found two blood orbs: one is for Strife. Strife disagrees.
