Batgirl: Spoiled contains examples of the following tropes:
- Darker and Edgier: Compared to the Batgirl comics staring Steph, at least. With a Nolan films-esque theme and an Attempted Rape in the first episode, it's certainly more dark than Steph's usual outings post-Batman: War Games (where she was tortured and seemingly died).
- Gratuitous Rape: The aforementioned Attempted Rape; narratively speaking, it didn't add anything beyond using Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil for the Sirens' Villainous Rescue to be a cathartic moment.
- One-Woman Army: Downplayed. The bad guys use Zerg Rush tactics to prevent Batgirl from further doing this, and successfully overwhelm and severely wound her.
- Would Hit a Girl: None of Batgirl's opponents seem to have any qualms about hitting her.
- Wrench Whack: One of the thugs Batgirl fights in episode 1 hits her with a wrench.
