Athena Sherman, also known as Athena P, is a commentary YouTuber who is known for her eccentric makeup looks, her affinity for mannequin butts, and her deep dives into children's media.
On her channel, she talks about the lore of children's shows (and one time commercials, which is currently dead to her), reviews children's books and romance novels (the latter usually about cowboys), reacts to old Public Service Announcements and bad movies (usually drunk), ranks a plethora of things, and so much more.
On her second channel, A-Meme-A P, she looks at letters and gifts sent to her PO box by fans, as well as talks about some more personal stuff.

- Character Catchphrase: Athena says "Buttlovers" at the start of most of her videos.
- Character Tiers: She has made multiple tier list videos where she ranks characters and media that fit certain categories, such as cartoon crushes and ships.
- Content Warnings: Many of her videos feature disclaimers that the video is not made for kids, even if they focus on kid's shows.
- Cosplay: Considering her sometimes absurd makeup looks, it’s no wonder she’s done cosplay (typically on Halloween). Some notable characters she’s cosplayed as include Bugaboo from Scary Godmother, Chuck from Wordgirl, and “Ugly Sonic” from the original version of the Sonic the Hedgehog Movie.
- Drunken Montage: In her "Watching ___ (drunk mostly)" series, she, as the name implies, watches things usually drunk. In these videos, she usually has a montage of her getting intoxicated, and even when she isn't, there's still sometimes a montage of her doing something else like drinking water or taking vitamins.
- Facial Markings: Although these are not natural markings, she is well known for her makeup looks in her videos, which range from small decals to full-on face paint. These looks always are meant to represent the topic of the video.
- Fetishes Are Weird: Just because of one photo Athena took with her feet exposed, suddenly they went up on the subreddit "r/Barefootindresses". Athena made a short addressing this, where she said that she can't tell if she's flattered or disturbed.
- Joke of the Butt: From calling her fans "Buttlovers" to smacking a mannequin butt she painted, behinds somehow became a symbol of her channel, all because she jokingly started to rank mannequin butts on Instagram. This came to the point where Stephen Kramer Glickman (known for his role as Gustavo Rocque in Big Time Rush) sent her a pillow in the shape of a butt.
- Original Character: In some of her videos, Athena makes original characters for the media she'stalking about, such as her "Wubsona" for Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!. She also has a character named "Feralton", who's a parody of Alexander Hamilton, specifically Lin-Manuel Miranda's interpretation of him.
- Release Date Change: Athena used to release her videos on Saturdays, but then each video consistently became delayed, so she no longer has specific dates scheduled for each video.
- Romance Novel: Athena reads a lot of romance novels on her channel, typically ones about cowboys, like Delores Fossen's books.
- Screaming at Squick: In a lot of her videos, she points out disturbing things, usually accompanied by a sound effect of Cloe screaming "eewww". In her "Ranking WEIRD scenes based on how UNCOMFORTABLE they make me" video, she even points out the word this very trope and discovers this very website.
- Trans Audience Interpretation: It's one thing for fans to think a fictional character is trans, and it's another thing for haters to think an actual person is. In the past, transphobes have thought that Athena is trans, which she is much more confused than offended by.
- Uncanny Family Resemblance:
- In Athena’s video about the movie Love and Penguins, Athena makes fun of how in the movie, the character Mr. Price shows a picture of his grandfather, only for it is to be just a picture of him in black and white. Athena jokes about this further in how she feels sorry about making fun of this movie and how her great-great-great-grandma would have loved the movie . . . Only for her to show a picture of herself in black and white wearing a small old-timey hat.
- In Athena’s video “80s Care Bear LORE (feat Rainbott),” her Uncle Skiddlybop shows up, who is really just her in a low bun and glasses.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Athena mentions in her video “80s Care Bear LORE (feat Rainbott),” that in the show they did they this trope by introducing the Sleeping Giant only for him to go into a coma in the same episode. Right after she says this, her Uncle Skiddlybop shows up and then almost immediately dies from a heart attack.
- Worthless Currency: Athena P has a printed out dollar bill of her Feralton character on her bulletin board, who supposedly has the same cost as his real world counterpart.
