A divorced Boomer wolf and a closeted Zoomer Tiger. More compatible than one might think?

"Petty revenge gone terribly right."
itch.io description

Boomer's Big Date is a NSFW one-shot gay furry webcomic that started on 2020, made by Nanoff. The story follows Boomer, an old wolf, who's working in the shop when he finds out that his ex-wife Karen has been off partying with her new tiger boyfriend, instead of taking care of their son. When he grumbles this to his gay pig friend, Joe, he finds out that this tiger has been snooping around in a gay dating app. Joe contrives of a plan to get revenge on Karen: Boomer will fuck his ex-wife's boyfriend and get evidence of the act in order to rub it in his ex-wife's face. One problem though. Boomer doesn't want to fuck a dude. Despite that, however, he agrees to the plan but eventually finds that he has trouble going through with it.

You can find Boomer's Big Date over here or here or here. Note that all links are NSFW.

Though Boomer's Big Date is a one-shot, Nanoff followed it up with the ongoing BMZ (Boomer, Miles, Zoomer), an anthology of short (going from 1 to 10 pages) comics detailing various scenes of the lives of the two leads and of Zoomer, Boomer's son, after the main story.

Boomer's Big Date provide examples of:

  • The Bear: Boomer is considered very attractive by both Joe and Miles due to his hefty body, and his plentiful body hair. He also turns out to be gay (more or less).
  • Becoming the Mask: Boomer pretends to want to have a hook up with Miles only to realize that he likes having sex with him, and even has more hook-ups with him while essentially ignoring the plan Joe came up with. He has a hard time trying to not tell this to Joe.
  • Closet Key: Boomer turns out to enjoy having sex and spending time with Miles. It takes a while for him to process it. And if Karen's words are to believed, he might be gay, not bi.
  • Closet Gay: Miles labels himself as Discrete and has to hide it from his friends by pulling off a "straight" persona. Boomer as well, although he realizes this a bit later. He can't even tell Joe that he's attracted to Miles.
  • Description Cut: After Boomer's first night with Miles, he has to explain to Joe why he didn't take any photos of Miles while he wasn't looking. He tells him that Miles was being too much a nuisance and he was forced to stay the night with him. The visuals show he's lying.
  • Fantastic Racism: There are a few times where characters have shown discrimination towards others based on their species. Joe even says the word "racist", which brings the question of why they define it as "racism" when it's more based on a person's species.
  • Forced Out of the Closet: Karen outs both Miles and Boomer in public. As if she couldn't be more resentable...
  • Gym Bunny: Miles is gay and goes to the gym often, which helps maintains his nice physique.
  • Hate Sink: Karen. Cheated on Boomer, declined on taking care of her child when it was supposed to be her turn, yells about croutons in her salad (even though it's her fault for not reading the menu), and blames a lemur (which apparently is more or less socially unacceptable) for trying to get in the way of her gluten-free diet, calls Boomer a faggot after seeing him with Miles, exposes Boomer in his plan (which upsets Miles greatly), and is named Karen. She's not supposed to be a likable character.
  • Last Het Romance: Implied. Karen was the last woman Boomer dated, and now he's hooking up with a man...
  • Late Coming Out: Boomer doesn't realize he's (probably) gay until he's had sex with Miles several times. Unfortunately, he's Forced Out of the Closet by his ex-wife.
  • May–December Romance: While the ages of Boomer and Miles aren't stated, Boomer is old enough to have a teenage son and is called an old man, while Miles uses internet slang commonly used by Zoomers, who would be in their 20s at the most. In time, they start to date.
    • BMZ reveals that Boomer's 48 and Miles' 35.
  • Meaningful Name: Boomer for the father who at least looks like he's a Baby Boomer, and Karen for the woman who acts like, well, a Karen.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Karen is a homophobe and mocks Boomer and Miles for being in love. This seems to be the final nail in the coffin for her son (who is gay) to disown her.
  • Porn with Plot: The comic does have explicit sex on-screen, but there's also a storyline that's deeper than "Get back at your ex-wife with gay sex".
  • Racial Face Blindness: Boomer remarks that Miles's profile pic on the dating app "looks like any other tiger to me", which prompts Joe to tell him that's racist. To be fair to Boomer, Miles obscured his face, and real-life tigers are difficult to distinguish by humans.
  • The Reveal: Miles was never dating Karen, she only pretended that he was his boyfriend on Facebook. Miles only didn't figure this out because he doesn't use Facebook.
  • Secret Relationship: Miles and Boomer start to grow feelings towards each other, yet neither of them can tell anyone due to their status as Closet Gay.
  • Surfer Dude: Miles is a muscular and young tiger who uses lots of modern lingo and is pretty boisterous on top of that.
  • Totally Radical: Miles talks just like what you'd expect a stereotypical Zoomer would talk like, saying acronyms out loud, while also saying slang like "poggers" and "sorry, not sorry". Boomer doesn't understand any of it.
  • With Friends Like These...: Joe isn't that great of a friend towards Boomer. He comes up with a plan for Boomer to get even with his ex-wife mostly just to get nudes of a dude, grabs Boomer's dick without permission in order to get him to pop a boner, and taunts him in gay for hooking up with a guy with no proof of him being proactive in the plan.
