Stupid Kids (Hungarian: Hülyegyerekek) (2012/11/3 — 2019/2/25) is a Hungarian YouTube animated series created by Ungdani (Dániel Ungvárszki). It revolves around three cousins, Bazsi, Boti, and Dani with Floating Limbs living in HiVille. It starts out as a dark humorous satire but slowly progresses into a more complex and serious Science Fiction adventure.

Tropes

• 2D Visuals, 3D Effects: The series does this alot whenever the characters drive vehicles.
• Accidental Hero: In Családban marad 1 (Stay in family 1), Sziva attempts to kill himself by jumping off a cliff, the titular trio go back in time and accidentally catch him.
• Accidental Murder:
  • In Unatkozik? Öljön mosómedvét (Bored? Kill a raccoon), Bazsi tries to hit a guard with a stake to escape from jail but accidentally stabs him in the head.
  • In Bazsimentes kaland (Bazsiless adventure), Boti and Dani accidentally steal a black car from a mafia member, when he finds them and wants to shoot them, they get helped by a restaurant cashier. The cashier drives the black car along with Boti and Dani, the mafia member steals a truck and all of them gets into a Car Chase, while being unaware there is a kidnapped person in the black car's trunk. Boti takes control of the black car because he wants to go back for his hat and accidentally crashes both vehicles. Only Boti and Dani survive the crash.
• Aesop: DaniGamer001 has the moral about that you might find an online video bad, but it still means a lot to its creator.
• All Myths Are True: Both discussed and implied in Utolsó felvonás (Final act), it is said there are an infinite amount of universes coexisting, many mythological places such as Atlantis, Garden of Eden and the gods' home in Olympus are all real and exist in other universes, and humanity's knowledge of them originate from people throughout history having the opportunity to travel there.
• Animal Testing: When the titular trio find out the rats are actually really sick they turn them to the hospital. The doctor tells them the rats died in the surgery and were products of animal tests in Ahol a méreg sem segít (Where even poison does not help).
• Animate Inanimate Object: In Furcsa játék hülyegyerekeknek (Weird toy for stupid kids), Bazsi gets a talking balloon with a face from Dani for Christmas. Its name is Steven and Dani tells them it is a Christmas balloon. Steven says it is just an ordinary balloon, Bazsi points out it can talk but Steven keeps telling them that is just misleading.
• Another Story for Another Time: The Narrator says Bazsi, Boti, and Dani live together but why exactly is not part of that story in Ahol a méreg sem segít (Where even poison does not help). Then it is does get revealed in Családban marad 1 (Stay in family 1).
• Arc Number: 116.
• Art Evolution: Early episodes have poor animation and audio quality but it becomes better to the point of Arany rekord (Golden record).
• Artistic License – Geography: Sometimes it is implied HiVille and other locations shown take place in Hungary but the series also shows kind of places the country itself lacks, such as oceans, active volcanos, and a desert right next to the protagonists' home town.
• Bizarre Human Biology: When Boti gets shot on the head he wakes back up stating he cannot be killed by a headshot because he has a toaster instead of a brain in És mind nekem tapsol (And they all clap for me).
• Bland-Name Product: Dani has a Samson computer in DaniGamer001.
• Cerebus Syndrome: From the first episode, the series centered around the titular trio; Bazsi, Boti and Dani going out on wacky misadventures spiced with some dark humorous satire. This changes in Gonoszabb mint egy mosómedve (Eviler than a raccoon) where Evil Raccoon is debuted who wants to Take Over the City. After the heroes defeat him, the tone gets even more serious and darker with tragic backstories, torture, emotional manipulation, loss and even higher stakes.
• Christmas Episode:
  • Boldogat és még boldogabbat (Merry and even more) is a Twisted Christmas episode where people who sold their souls to Facebook turn into zombies because it crashed.
  • Furcsa játék hülyegyerekeknek (Weird toy for stupid kids) is where the titular trio get a Time Machine for Christmas and use it for their own pleasure.
• Cute Is Evil: Raccoon seems to be an adorable mammal at first but he is a terrorist whose goal is to be a dictator of HiVille. He also Hates Being Called Cute.
• Description Cut: Bazsi asks Tony Macflane if the hitmen of Nova TV follow them, Tony Macflane replies they are too dumb to even drive a truck. Right then they are seen to drive a truck.
• A Dog Named "Dog": Raccoon is named after his species and a major villain of the series.
• Early-Bird Cameo: Raccoon's face appears on the cover of the storybook in Ahol a méreg sem segít (Where even poison does not help) before his introduction in Gonoszabb mint egy mosómedve (Eviler than a raccoon).
• Easily Impressed: The judges from Nova Talent are amazed by the titular trio's repetitive and amateur singing and turn them into celebs in És mind nekem tapsol (And they all clap for me).
• Enemy Mine: In SziaFalva Háborúja (War of HiVille), when Timmy attacks HiVille with his Mecha-Mooks, Raccoon helps the titular trio and friends because he does not wanna get killed too by Timmy and knows they are the best bet to defeat him, and he wants to kill the titular trio himself.
• Episode Title Card: Every episode from Ahol a méreg sem segít (Where even poison does not help) to SziaFalva háborúja (War of HiVille) has this, then again in Családban marad 1 (Stay in family 1), Negyedik fal (Fourth wall), and Utolsó felvonás (Final act).
• Exact Words: In DaniGamer001 Dani tries to be a Youtuber with little success of gaining views on his videos, Bazsi promises him he is gonna get views for him. And he did it, but now Dani's videos are filled with dislikes and hate comments.
  Bazsi: I said I will get you views. Your video will suck regardless.
• Extreme Omnivore: Antónia Erős mentions she eats stakes everyday in Ahol a méreg sem segít (Where even poison does not help).
• Face Death with Dignity: Doctor Walter gets killed in Bazsimentes kaland (Bazsiless adventure). In Furcsa játék hülyegyerekeknek (Weird toy for stupid kids), the titular trio gets a Time Machine, the machine breaks and they get stuck in the past where Walter is still alive. They ask him to fix the machine, Bazsi tries to warn about his death in the future but Walter says he accepts his fate for not wanting to jeopardy the fabric of spacetime.
• Fingerless Hands: All the characters' hands are just floating balls along with their Floating Limbs anatomy.
• Floating Limbs: All characters including non-human animals have this, they even lampshade it sometimes.
• Fun with Acronyms: SEG is short for Super Epic Guys, an organization of secret agents. "Seg" means "butt" in Hungarian.
• Goodbye, Cruel World!: A newspaper reads Jigglypuff commited suicide and left a note reading "Jigglypuff" in És mind nekem tapsol (And they all clap for me).
• Hates Being Called Cute: Raccoon is a terrorist whose goal is to be a dictator of HiVille and so he wants to be respected as its rightful ruler. He gets enraged if anyone dares to call him cute.
• Implausible Deniability: Tony Macflane asks Boti if he stole his garland. Boti denies it besides the garland is being right in his hands in Boldogat és még boldogabbat (Merry and even more).
• Inner Monologue: Bazsi motivates himself to defeat the rats in Ahol a méreg sem segít (Where even poison does not help).
• Innocent Bigot: In Towner örökség (Towner legacy), when a black person visits the titular trio.

• Just Eat Gilligan: Lampshaded in Ahol a méreg sem segít (Where even poison does not help) when the titular trio try to remove the rats from their kitchen after Dani ate the rat poison by accident.

Dani: We could just buy new rat poison and be done with it.

Boti: Are you stupid? We are not even half way of the episode! We need a complex and time consuming solution...

• Lampshade Hanging:
  • After Dani eats the rat poison by accident rats start to show up in their house. He points out they could just buy new rat poison to remove them but Boti calls him out that would end the episode too soon in Ahol a méreg sem segít (Where even poison does not help).

• Unflinching Walk: Parodied in Towner örökség (Towner legacy), after Jason Towner escapes from a building, he does an unflinching standing right when the building blows up behind him. Then turns out he stood too close to the explosion and his entire back is on fire.
• What Happened to the Mouse?: In Nyári epizód (Summer episode), the characters do a ceremony to show the golden waffle in front of a giant statue of the waffle god in a festival to keep it asleep. But Raccoon steals it and the result is the statue wakes up and starts to attack people. The trio escapes but after that it is never acknowledged.
• You Already Changed the Past: In Furcsa játék hülyegyerekeknek (Weird toy for stupid kids), the titular trio gets a Time Machine for Christmas and use it for their own pleasure. They get stuck in the past when it breaks and ask Doctor Walter for help to fix it. Bazsi tries to warn Walter about his death in the future but he says he accepts his fate. When they get back to their own time, Walter is still dead and they realize the past cannot be changed.
