The main protagonist, Sakura.
"We're mary sues, we can't die!"
Sakura the Angel Sailer God is a fanime hosted on YouTube. It is about Sakura, a Mary-Sue Catgirl, and all of her friends, including Nigi, Shibo, Gan, and Storm. You can watch the series here.

This show provides examples of:

  • Gag Boobs: Most of the female characters have these.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: Nearly everyone adds some kind of Japanese word in their sentences occasionally. It's made worse by the fact that many of the words are mispronounced.
  • Love at First Sight: In the first episode when Sakura falls in love with Len, and again in the Easter Special with Gan.
  • Meaningful Name:
    • Shibo is based on a stereotypical gamer. His name is "fat" in Japanese.
    • Akai Koto was formerly called "The Red Thing" before she made a Heel–Face Turn. Akai Koto is Japanese for Red Thing.
  • Medium Awareness: The characters frequently state that they can do things people should normally not be able to do because they are Mary Sues.
  • Parody Sue: There's Sakura, Nigi, Shibo, Akai, Kojo, and more, all based off of different types of sues to make the cast not as bland.
  • Pokémon Speak: Sugoi Sugoi Sugoi can only say the word "Sugoi."
  • Superior Species:
    • Played straight with Mary Sues, as they are this by definition. It's stated in Episode 12 that Mary Sues were originally the only race on the planet who made normal, well-developed characters to laugh at.
    • Inverted with Anti-Sues, who are inferior in every way.
  • Take Up My Sword: In the New Year's Special, the Magic Guardian explains that they used to be the pet cat of Neko Nekine, the original owner of the purple magic sword Sakura owns, stating it was a legendary sword. There was previously a fight against "An evil being almost as bad as the Big Bad, but not quite." Although Neko won, the evil being’s last words were a curse that kills every Mary Sue in earshot, killing Neko too. This caused Neko's Mary Sue powers to transfer to her pet cat, which became the Guardian Spirit.
  • Tempting Fate: In the Christmas special:
Storm (with eyes closed): I'm just glad I moved out of my old house. So many pests. And i'm glad there aren't any mary sues here.
Sakura: Hello desu! I am Sakura the kawaii!
Storm: Oh god dang it!
  • You Gotta Have Blue Hair: Many of the characters have unnatural hair colors, to emphasize their Parody Sue status.
    • Then there's Shibo and Fred, who actually do have blue hair.
