Painis Cupcake (to the Vagineer)

A series of Garry's Mod videos created by YouTube user Kugawattan. A story of revenge starring Team Fortress 2 Freak Painis Cupcake, who hunts down previous Monsters who have bested him in battle, most of them quite unfairly, and fights them to become the "Number 1 Freak" all while befriending some of the other Freaks running about in the world of Freak Fortress.

Original run December 27, 2011 - July 15, 2012. The series may be watched here.

Painis Cupcake's Revenge provides examples of:

  • Animation Bump: In the third part, near the end of the episode, Painis Cupcake and Vagineer duel while the camera is centered between them. It's much smoother than the rest of the episode and it almost looks like a fighting game.
  • Attack Its Weak Point: The key to defeat Snyphurr quickly: his face and source of his stronger attack.
  • Author Appeal: The raison d'être of the series itself. He likes the character but was unamused by weaker Freaks besting him so often.
  • Ax-Crazy: Christian Brutal Sniper... though pretty much everyone is this, but to a lesser degree.
  • Call-Back: Demopan appearing to torment Intelligent Heavy, the former still upset over losing to the latter in TF2 Freak Fight.
  • The Cameo: Lots of them: MeeM, Nnnngh Sniper, Heavydile, Sewer Medic, Dangerous Bacon, Ninjineer, Polite Spy, GentleSpy.
    • The Director's Cut gave Heavydile an Ascended Extra status, turning him into a victim of Painis' rampage.
  • Canon Welding: Makes various previously unrelated videos be a part of a greater series, including TF2 Freak Fight which Painis Cupcake's Revenge serves as the direct sequel to.
  • Chase Scene: beautifully referencing the Tricky Treasure chases in Rayman Origins, Vagineer ties Painis up with ropes and chases him around.
  • Characterization Marches On: Painis was usually portrayed as a merciless, unstoppable, unreasoning killing machine in past appearances. In this series, he helps get rid of a pestering Scout that was bothering Solgineer and parts on amicable terms with his fellow freak, helps Intelligent Heavy revive Spyper after he had been stepped on by the running Heavy, and utterly annihilates Demopan after he attacks Intelligent Heavy and Spyper. He is still a super-strong man-eater, though.
  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Weaselcake.
  • Curbstomp Battle: Compared to his next foes, Christian Brutal Sniper goes down quite easily. However, Seeldier is killed in one hit outright. The Scout annoying Solgineer falls even quicker to him. And finally in part 3, Demopan, even though a good fighter, was pulverized by a really angry, Übercharged Painis.
  • Deadly Gaze: Snyphurr's turns people into stone, as Spyper figured out.
  • Determinator: Painis WANTS to be the strongest again.
  • Disney Villain Death: Vagineer. Snyphurr gets a brief one.
  • The Dragon: Snyphurr to Vagineer, Seeldier to Seeman.
  • Drunken Master: Dic Soupcan is permanently drunk. And as long as he is, he is a Person of Mass Destruction.
  • Facial Horror: Vagineer's distorted face, as well as Snyphurr when he revals his.
  • Final Boss: Vagineer is the strongest foe Painis has faced and his last opponent in the trilogy.
  • Glass Cannon: Christian Brutal Sniper. He gets damaged quite easily, making the confrontation shot and once Painis gets a hold of him he goes down in seconds.
  • Groin Attack: Dic Soupcan manages to land one on Painis.
  • Happy Dance: Painis after beating Vagineer and thus ending his conquest for the nº1 spot.
  • Healing Factor: Vagineer recovers lost lims almost immediately to use them as projectiles. Later, after being distracted for less than a minute with Demopan, Painis gets ambushed full force by Vagineer, who just moments ago was beaten into a pulp thanks to Painis' Übercharge.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Everyone except maybe Intelligent Heavy and Spyper.
  • I Just Want to Be Badass: Painis started as this because his persona of an implacable man was destroyed when more and more Freaks just as strong as him appeared and bested him in sometimes unfair duels. He yells and stands up, deciding to have his pride back.
  • Improvised Weapon: Christian Brutal Sniper crafts a Southern Hospitality-Scotman's Skullcutter hybrid by just slamming the two together.
  • Killed Off for Real: Subverted. In the world of TF2 Freaks, just like Team Fortress 2, never die permanently and after an indeterminate amount of time respawn. They would eventually return in the "Shmuckfreaks Saga", seeking revenge against Painis.
  • Killed Offscreen: Seeman gets eaten offscreen while Seeldier can only watch.
  • The Klutz: Intelligent Heavy. He steps on the sleeping cannibal while running, desperate to find someone to help him save Spyper.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Though not impressively fast, most of the characters are extremely powerful, can take a great deal of punishment and have Super-Strength.
  • Like Cannot Cut Like: Played with as Spyper tries to defend Intelligent Heavy from a vegeance-seeking Demopan... which amounts to nothing as Intelligent Heavy reminds Spyper that he lacks the ability to team kill BLU Freaks. Too bad Demopan lacks that drawback.
  • Ludicrous Gibs: Dic Soupcan after blowing himself up. Also, every time Vagineer throws an arm.
  • No-Sell: Seeman gets his whole fist eaten in one bite. His reaction? Point at it and say "See?". Later, played with an Übered Painis Cupcake, who has no reaction to the wrench and bugle thrown at him, but not to the Level 3 Dispenser.
  • Oh, Crap!: Quite a few:
    • Seeldier performs his Finishing Move: anything that touches him violently explodes. Painis is a melee fighter, so he's won, right? Nope, Painis always has a shovel stored in his mouth. Since it got stuck in his stomach, it explodes and sends him far over the horizon.
    • Weaselcake, when he realizes he didn't turn Painis in a bottle of piss. A cake he was holding did, and now Painis has a weapon.
    • Brief one by Painis when he leaps after Dic Soupcan, and he regurgitates a grenade at him.
    • Ninjaneer gets a Scrumpy bottle from Polite Spy but when Soupcock Porkpie's head comes out of it he makes a shocked expression and flees.
    • Gentlespy appears to try and ambush Vagineer but panics when he sees Snyphurr with him and quietly leaves before either can spot him.
    • When Painis is catched by Vagineer using his grappling-hook arms, he muttlers a quiet "Shit".
    • The biggest one is when Painis Übers himself and breaks free from Vagineer's ties. Vagineer humorously tries to talk his way out but his pleas fall on deaf ears and he's dropped to his death.
    • Demopan gets one when he realises that Painis is nearby, and who is also currently an ally of Intelligent Heavy, the same guy he's currently beating to a pulp.
  • Pummel Duel: happens offscreen with Painis Cupcake and Seeman.
  • Punched Across the Room: Weaselcake receives one from Painis Cupcake
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: It's in the title.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Christian Brutal Sniper's spy friend just runs away upon seeing Painis' face, not caring at all about CBS' safety.
  • Super Mode: Painis Cupcake's Übercharge pretty much enhances every aspect of his fitness.
  • Taken for Granite: Spyper
  • Troll: The Scout annoying Solgineer.
