ADULT ARTHUR is a series of Arthur parody animations by the YouTube channel AOK. The series is a part of the larger AOK Ruins Your Childhood series. ADULT ARTHUR is about the lives the child cast of Arthur would have if they grew up.

The series currently consists of ADULT ARTHUR, ADULT ARTHUR 2 - CROSSFIT, and ADULT ARTHUR 3 - ARTHUR MOVES HOME.

ADULT ARTHUR provides examples of:

  • Benevolent Boss: In the first short, when Brain notices Arthur can't focus on his work, rather than yell at him, he gives him a mental health day.
  • Erudite Stoner: Buster smokes weed and vapes. He tries to help his friend Arthur, but his advice isn't very useful.
  • Formerly Fit: The second episode begins with Arthur noticing he's gained weight.
  • The Freelance Shame Squad: In the second episode, Arthur barfs and gets mocked by Binky for it, causing several nearby people to start laughing.
  • Furry Reminder: Buster, a rabbit, has a carrot tattoo.
  • Glasses of Aging: In "Arthur Moves In", Arthur's father Dave is shown to be older as well as wearing eyeglasses like his son.
  • Growing Up Sucks: The main joke of the series is about what an awkward adult Arthur has grown into and how, overall, being an adult isn't all it's cracked out to be. It's even in the theme song.
  • Hairstyle Inertia: Adult D.W. still has the exact same Boyish Short Hair she did when she was four.
  • Hate Sink: The adult version of D.W. seen in this series is a Rich Bitch whose mocking attitude towards Arthur and Buster is intended to attract the audience's contempt towards her. It's incredibly satisfying when Arthur wrecks her car, which is also an Intended Audience Reaction.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Mrs. Read tells Arthur not to make fun of his dad's work, only to mock his herself.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Arthur wrecks D.W.'s car after she mocks him and Buster.
  • Mature Animal Story: It's a Dark Parody of a kid's series set in a World of Funny Animals.
  • Nice Guy: While he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, Buster is still a pretty loyal friend to Arthur.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: Or "Psychopathic Womanchild" in this case. Despite being rich and successful in adulthood, D.W. is still every bit as bratty as she was in the original series.
  • Rich Bitch: D.W. grows up to be affluent and successful, flaunting her wealth in Arthur's face after he moves back in with their parents.
  • Shout-Out: Arthur has a Mice In Black poster, which references Men in Black.
  • Speaks Fluent Animal: Even into adulthood, Kate can still talk to Pal.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: When D.W. comes to Arthur's old house after he moves back, he greets her in an annoyed tone while rolling his eyes.
  • Tuft of Head Fur: Both Arthur and Buster have each grown a tuft of fur in order to emulate short hair.
  • Turn to Religion: Played for Laughs with the Tough Customers. They've become born-again Christians who are into cross-fit.
