Pascal and Sabine become balloon rights activists.
Within the next couple decades, sentient balloons grow to become more common - and, after being fed up with people who gleefully enjoy popping balloons, Pascal and Sabine (now a couple) found a balloon rights activist group... and, soon afterward, they organize demonstration marches called Stop The Pop. Quite naturally, sentient balloons join the marches with their placard-holding human allies.
