The Poe Sisters are the eponymous explorers of the Explorer's Crypt.
When traveling through the Explorer's Crypt, there's no real sign of any adventurer or person who would fit the bill as the "explorer" of the dungeon's namesake. However, the mini-bosses, the Poe Sisters, could be them.
  • They wield a sword and a lantern, two items heavily associated with adventuring in the Zelda franchise. Additionally, they frequently appear next to gravestones, implying they were laid to rest in the dungeon before it was infested with monsters.
  • The term "Explorer's" seems to imply just one individual, but it could be referring to an explorer as an archetypal figure.

Princess Zelda in the Oracle games is not the same Princess Zelda that appeared in A Link to the Past, though she is related to her.
Specifically, she's her younger sister, who was raised in hiding due to the turmoil Hyrule was facing prior to A Link to the Past. (Note that this entry presupposes that the timeline chronicled in the Hyrule Encyclopedia is not canon.)
  • Looking at the original timeline, one of the biggest hurdles between A Link to the Past, the Oracle games, and Link's Awakening is that the iterations of Link and Zelda from each of them are all intended to be the same person, despite Oracle Zelda speaking to Link as though she's heard of him, but never met him in person before. This would make more sense of there were two royal siblings: A Link to the Past Zelda's design wouldn't need to be retconned because Oracle Zelda is the one who resembles Marin, and with the original timeline placement, Link would have met her before he washed ashore on Koholint.
  • The only retcon this would require is that Zelda in A Link to the Past would have had a sister who was never mentioned, which makes sense if she were in hiding at the time. The potential for the younger princess to have been raised in secret, away from Hyrule, would explain Impa's drastically different design than the one we know her by — she assumes a more heavyset and traditionally motherly appearance from raising the younger Zelda because without the constant threat of danger posed by living in Hyrule, she can focus on giving the princess a normal upbringing instead of training her to become some stealth ninja or something. And in doing so, she herself becomes more complacent and less physically-fit, explaining why she can't help Link tangibly in either of the Oracle games.
  • As an added bonus, Impa appears alongside the Knights of Hyrule in Oracle of Seasons, masquerading as members of Din's traveling troupe so they can smuggle her into Hyrule where she'll be safe. If the Knights were also assigned to protect the younger Zelda while she was in hiding, it would explain why A Link to the Past Zelda had to call upon Link and his uncle to help her defeat Agahnim — she needed someone with a relation to the Knights of Hyrule, and all the rest of them had left the kingdom to protect her sister.
  • Adding to this, the place in Holodrum known as "Impa's Refuge" has two beds in it, hinting that it might've been where the younger Zelda was raised. And if this were the case, it would explain how Impa is able to give Link directions to so many places in Holodrum, compared to Labrynna, where she's of no help at all. She's lived there long enough to have a sense of where most landmarks and locations are.

Ricky is trans.
Either that or he just doesn't care about his gender either way and answers to any pronouns.
  • The kangaroos could be a One-Gender Race like the Yoshis from the Mario Bros universe. All Yoshis can lay eggs, so the kangaroos all have pouches.

The Maku Trees from Oracle of Seasons / Ages are brother and sister.
They are both called The Maku Tree, though they are obviously different trees.
  • Unlikely. There's a huge age-gap between them. The Holodrum Guardian is old enough to be the Labrynna Tree's father. If she's hundreds of years old, he must be a thousand.

In the linked ending of the Oracle games, Ralph and Nayru are hanging out with their (future?) kids.
The three kids that trail them use generic NPC sprites, but of note is that said sprites have black hair, while in the sepia shot, the children have much lighter hair, although the exact colors are unknown. Ralph is similar; he's a Fiery Redhead, but is shown with dark hair in his sprite. Additionally, the fact that they're playing around while Nayru holds a bag of groceries is a little suspicious, too. It's pretty common to see families taking their young children with them on a shopping trip, after all. Plus, it's very easy to see her relationship with Ralph as romantic.
  • The question would be how the heck they'd get three kids so fast, no matter what order the games were completed in. One of two options could occur: If Ages occurs first, then there might be enough time to elapse for them to at least reach preteen age, assuming they age as fast as Bipin and Blossom's son does.
  • More likely, though, they didn't wait at all. Nayru's the Oracle of Ages, and short of divine will and time paradoxes (and possibly not even those if she just doesn't care), there's nothing stopping her from taking Ralph and visiting a future where they've hooked up and had children, or bringing the children to their time, or even taking the whole family to a time period where none of them belong in. It'd explain the unrecognizable town they're in, anyway. It's possible that this sort of thing happens often enough for the kids not to bat an eye at it. Granted, time paradoxes might still occur — what if they learn their firstborn is named Bob and, at his birth, call him Charlie instead? — but again, the game's pretty weird with time to begin with, between Bipin's son and the construction of the Black Tower.

Ganon revived Twinrova during the Imprisoning War.
When Ganon got access to the full Triforce, one of his wishes was to bring his mothers back to life after the Hero of Time killed them. The Triforce has shown this ability before - at the end of A Link to the Past, Link uses the power of the Triforce to wish the king and presumably other people back to life.

Vaati would have been the third game's antagonist
And the flame associated with him would have been Despair. It would have lit once Vaati removes the colour from the land and plunges it into, well, despair. In the linked game ending for all three, all Twinrova needs to do is kidnap Zelda to sacrifice her.

The Essences of Time represent the stages of human evolution.
The Eternal Spirit stands for the "spark of life" that brought living things into existence. The Ancient Wood and Echoing Howl represent plants and animals. The Burning Flame represents humans learning to use fire. The Sacred Soil represents the development of agriculture. Finally, the Lonely Peak, Rolling Sea, and Falling Star represent humans exploring the land, sea, and eventually space.
