WMG / The Fools Turmoil

Go To

The Fool's Tumoril

The voice Minato kept hearing in chapter 1 is....
A new shadow.
  • Alternatively, it's Nyra, or Izanami.

Hamuko....
Is gonna curb stomp Minato when she sees what's become of him. Especially after she told him to live, live life to the fullest, and for both of them...well...he hasn't exactly lived life to the fullest for even one person. He's kinda just given up. Cue Hamuko's wrath. Hilarity Ensues.

We'll see....
Hamuko's One-Winged Angel shadow form. Sure, why not?

Minato....
Isn't part of the Fool Arcana/Wild Card anymore.

Minato is gonna have a dream...
And it's going to star Hamuko dressed in a skimpy cheerleader outfit, her wielding a chainsaw, and him as a strange, bodiless keychain. In his dream they are going to be going around destroying shadows and such, while Hamuko makes her usual inappropriate comments. Why is this up here you ask? Because this troper is tired...and wants a Lollipop Chainsaw reference.

There will be....
A Bioshock Infinite reference, most likely the Lutece twins. *troper is shot by the author*

There will be another sequel fic....
Taking place during Arena. *shot by author again*

There will be....
Another fic that ties into Turmoil. Like, a P4 novelization but with it's own twists and tying into Turmoil.*is shot again*

Hamuko....
Will be the one who appears on the Midnight Channel instead of Minato in chapter 3. The people that appear on the Midnight Channel are the persons' Shadows...so since she's his Shadow she'll be the one to appear. Hilarity and confusion ensues.

Hamuko...
If she sees Minato now...she'll most likely beat the crap out of him for not keeping his promise.

If Marie is in the fic....
And Hamuko appears as well....it's best that she runs. Cause Hamuko might sense there's a similarity between her and Izanami who trapped her in the TV World.

Because Adachi threw him in, and told the lie saying that he ran away...
When Minato gets out of the TV World, he'll get a haircut and shave, making him look 19 again. Since the police will be looking for him, he'll have to go by a different name. Since he can't use Kitaro Shirogane in this world looks like he'll have to be called Makoto Yuki......yes this troper is still guessing when that name will be referenced.

Concerning Minato and Naoto, and also spoilers for Bioshock Infinte
While it is true Minato is not Naoto's older brother....He is related to her. His memories were not falsified in the Vision Quest, they were altered note . In the Vision Quest Naoto was Minato's little sister, and Minato's real name was Kitaro Shirogane. On the day their parents died, Naoto was kept at their Grandfather's house because she was too young/sick, this troper can't remember at the moment. What really happened was that Minato is Naoto's cousin not brother. The same memory that happened in the Vision Quest happened in real life, but it was altered. Instead, while the family was going to go on a family outing for Minato's birthday or a different special event, Naoto ended up not going (possibly similar reasons as above), so, instead Minato and his parents, and Naoto's parents go instead. Going off the fanart the author did of Minato and Naoto, the dad's is the one with blue hair and the mom with black. Let's say for now that the grown-ups in the pic are Minato's parents and not Naoto's. Ok, so say Minato's dad had a younger/older sister, who ended up marring a man who was a Shirogane. This gives proof on how Minato and Naoto can have the same hair and similar facial features but have different surnames. Now, as for the grandfather, Johei, Naoto never really shows any indication of knowing the name, when Minato says his name while he begins to approach her, she takes her gun out because he is walking towards her, not because he mentioned the name. Could it be she doesn't know who Johei is? Could it be that Johei is not Johei Shirogane, her grandfather? We do know that Johei is a Kuzunoha though. Maybe Minato accidentally counfused/mixed the two people together? Maybe Johei was close, whether as friends or work partners, with the Shirogane's? If you go off the fanart again, the father has a similar hair cut, could be Johei's son. But then, if Minato's dad is related to Naoto's mom, then they'd be related to Johei. Or, you can say that the Minato's mom, who has black hair just like Johei, could be his daughter. This way, Johei is NOT related to Naoto, so she would not know who he is.

Now, this brings up the case, is "Minato Arisato" Minato's real name? I mean, after the accident he could have forgotten his name, and so the government named him Minato Arisato? Maybe he was right, Kitaro was his real name, but getting Naoto confused as a sister instead of a cousin, he ended up being "Kitaro Shirogane" in Vision Quest. Maybe his real name is Kitaro Kuzunoha, if you believe Kuzunoha isn't just a title inherited. But let's just say Kuzunoha isn't a real surname but a title. Then we don't know what Johei's last name is. Also, we can possibly assume Kitaro isn't Minato's name. You see, because of what Hamuko told us in the "final" chapter of Tournament, we find out Minato is a pretty Unreliable Narrator, as he has gone slightly insane over the countless of loops. Also, in Tournament, Minato and Hamuko (might as well include her as she is his shadow), both have a hard time remembering their pasts. If Minato has a hard time remembering what happened before his parents death on the Moonlight Bridge, who's to say that him remembering his name, Kitaro Shirogane, is reliable? He's already been proven wrong as he is not a Shirogane. Maybe, because of the way his hair is/was shaped, kids used to make fun of him/nicked name him Kitaro from GeGeGe no Kitarō (kind of echoing how Hamuko's name is punned off of the famous anime Hamtaro). Which is why he would remember that name, because people would call him that. Now, what could his real name be? Maybe Makoto Yuki?

Alternatively to the thing above...
Naoto and Minato are cousins, or childhood friends who were so close they were almost brother and sister.

At some point, the "Shadow Minato" from The Answer will show up...
Why? Well, even though Minato isn't dead, SEES are still upset that he's drifted apart, their emotions of wanting to see him again are going to cloud together and create The Answer Shadow Minato.

The fic will actually end with 7 chapters.
Why? It’ll follow the same suite as Tournament. After the actual story is done, in this case chapter 5, there will be a Q and A chapter (chapter 6) and then there will be a “teaser”/epilogue/prologue chapter (chapter 7).

Hamuko has been with the IT(Investigation Team) since the very beginning.
She probably tried to save both Yamano and Saki, but was unable to due to Izanami’s interference. In which case, she runs into the IT and decides to shadow them to find the truth.

There will be a fic that runs alongside Turmoil, but from Hamuko’s perspective.
It will be a short fic that serves as both a sequel to Tournament and a flip perspective of Turmoil. With this, we’ll find out what Hamuko was up to during Persona 4’s storyline.
  • And if the above WMG is true, Teddie will also play a part of a secondary protagonist, though Teddie won’t be aware of Hamuko’s presence, it will give us a little extra story as to what he does when the IT isn’t there.

Remember the house Hamuko had in the chapter 101 in Tournament?
Remember how that house had a field? What if the field was the same one we see when the fog clears up in the true ending of P4? Why do I bring this up? Maybe the IT will stumble across it and that’s where Hamuko will appear.

If there is a full P4 novelization the protagonists will be...
Souji, of course. Secondary may switch around, we may have Hamuko, Teddie, Yosuke, or even Naoto in later chapters. Or even Marie at times.

Possible titles for a Hamuko perspective fic
The Fool’s Trial, The Fool’s Torment.

Possible title for a P4 novelization fic
The Fool’s Truth, The Fool’s Triumph, The Fool’s Trauma

If there is a P4 novelization, it will be split into 2-3 arcs
By arcs, I mean, 2-3 different fics. For one, it can avoid the “doorstoper” trope, and the author can take longer breaks that way.
  • And if it does turn out to be 2-3 stories, the chapter length will be around 40 chapters each (give or take).

Souji actually has a Social Link with Aigis
That may be one of the reasons why he hangs out with her a lot. Her Social Link Arcana is probably the 22 Fool arcana.
  • It would make sense, since Aigis is technically the 3rd fool, she just never awakened those powers in Tournament.

There will be another fic revolving around Persona Q
The only difference is that Hamuko is in it. Probably due to "the powers that be." Future/Turmoil!Aigis might appear as well (with Minato being absent because of his depression). It would be a great way to see how Minato originally acted. It also gives us some insight on the Vision Quest world back in Tournament. Such as kind of knowing the layout of Inaba and Naoto. It would explain why Minato knew so much about Naoto in Tournament. Why, at some point, he tricked himself into thinking she was his sister. Probably because of Junpei or someone saying "man you guys look like long lost siblings." It would also explain why Minato saw a "grey haired young boy" on the TV that one time. In all honesty, Persona Q premise is kind of Hilarious in Hindsight for all of Tournament's Call Forwards and/or Easter Eggs.
  • It would also be interesting to see how Hamuko would interact with everyone.
Is Hamuko....
Marie in this fic? Or at least, she has her role. Hear me out, in chapter 6 Hamuko mentions "her fog"....but doesn't the fog belong to Izanami/Marie/ect.? So why does it she refer to it as "her fog"? It would also explain why Marie hasn't been mentioned in the fic yet.

Minato...
Isn't out of the Desert of Doors yet/hasn't left...or at least has been put back in there somehow. Turmoil is actually another "world"/"space" Hamuko created in the Desert of Doors to see how Minato would fair if she just let him out. Obviously he hasn't adjusted to society, so she's using this "space" as a means to re-adjust him before finally freeing him.

Remember Shadow Minato/??? from The Answer in the games?
Even though The Answer was never in The Fools' Tournament, unless it happened off screen in a vision prior to Hamuko joining the loops; we could assume that ??? could still show up. But instead of taking Minato's form like in The Answer, it would take Hamuko's form! Since Minato has yet to let go of Hamuko and has decided to wallow in his grief instead, a "???" version of Hamuko may appear similar to how the original "???" appeared before SEES in The Answer. This might be why Aigis and Hamuko want Minato to let her go. Either because, on top of it being unhealthy in general, they know something like that can happen because of reasons. Or because Aigis remembers a vision of The Answer way back when.
